Has anyone managed to port the Xperia S music player and all its goodness like EQ, ClearBass, virtualization and all that other good stuff?! I tried the Xperia S UI ROM but I'm using CM9 and all it's missing is the Xperia S Music player! Can anyone link to some info on installing it? (Yes i'm a noob btw).

I Installed xperia s theme (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22056954) to xperia ray and the music player either dissapears or looks the same but with a different background. I looked through both threads about this mod and no one has had my problem (and I am not allowed to post there as even though I am not new to this, i only have just got an xda account) and I have searched the general forum as well. Anyone got any answers that might help?

The soundMod ICE CAVE 5.0 (Sony Xperia sound enhancement) by Mikanoshi is working in our One Mini. The mod is awesome, thanks to Mikanoshi, i like it.
If anyone is using this mod too, please share your experience and let's discuss it.

Yes, better sound, at least for my ears, and louder, and Hei!! you'll have a Sony WALKMAN Apps (Which i prefer than the htc music player). You can read the details in Mikanoshi's original thread.
But too bad, Native walkman widget is for Xperia Launcher only, but you can install another widget from Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.voiche.musicwidget, it is free, but still buggy, Album Art not shown.

i just got the Xperia xz. Before the xz I was using a Xperia Z2, which had a nice, preinstalled Podcast App (hidden somwhere in Music or Video, later sony made a widget). I just want to know if this Podcast app still exists in the xz world?

There are no forums about new walkman , so I post to here.
I have found that the new Sony Walkman is supported by android , and the new walkman app looks pretty well ( style is like the wm1 and zx300 series) . I wanna install the new walkman app on my cellphone .
There are some problems
First of all there are no smaster audio processor on the cellphones so some of the functions won’t work on the ordinary android devices . Like vinyl processor or dsee Hx , dc phase processor. Maybe we have to disable them to ensure that the app works well.
Second , I found the functionality between zx500 and a100 is different . So there are maybe 2 versions of new walkman app. One for zx500 and another one for a100.
I double this. I'll try to get the APK tomorrow by extracting it from the firmware... then I'll install it to AOSP.
Got it? Would be interested on that and some Infos about it (Development)

However don't be too excited, the music player sucks as a music player.
It's very basic, it doesn't even let you create or modify playlists. Only "bookmarks" which cannot be backed up/exported and have limitations.
Even I have these device, and I'd rather stick to PowerAmp in general (best overall) or USB Audio Player Pro UAPP for USB DAC support and MQA.

I might be a little late but yes! Someone with one of these devices will be great.
Being it Android you can download an android app called (Super Backup & Restore) from the Google play store. This app is easy, intuitive and will extract the APK file. Then you can upload it here on XDA. I can help more if you are willing to help. I will try my best to answer any questions you have.
