Whenever i try to download an app on the Google PLay store when on my data connection, it gives me an error, but when I turn on wifi it works perfectly. I've reflashed my ROM and everything. I don't know whats wrong. Samsung captivate, WeUI v0.9, AT&T. Thanks!
Have you tried it on a non MIUI based rom. There seems to be lots of issues with those rooms and the market when connected to the network popping up for different devices

i've been switching between aosp's ics build and various gingerbread roms, and the other day while setting ics up again i couldn't sign in to my google account with wifi. no big deal, that's happened before. so i went back to 3g and continued the setup.
now, the weird part. i could see my wifi signal, it would try to connect, then the status would read "disabled." it would try to connect over and over but wouldn't work. so i set about troubleshooting and loaded a nandroid of oxygen. it was connected to wifi at boot, but would not load a thing. i tried a fresh install of the same rom and same deal, unable to connect to wifi.
i was getting really frustrated at this point, thinking maybe my phone had effed up because my xbox, wii, and my wife's evo had no trouble connecting. on a whim i decided to do a fresh install of cyanogen, and what do you know. . . no problem connecting! i then loaded up gapps, signed into my google and, ****! it could no longer connect
anyhow i figured that for some reason whatever settings had been backed up to my google account made it impossible to connect to my wifi. i seem to have resolved it by unchecking restore settings from google, and hopefully for good by keeping my current setup backed up.
anyone else encountered something like this? made for a very frustrating sunday afternoon. . .
I've updated my Optimus T to Rasheed's CM10 JB 4.1.2 recently.
Since update, I'm not able to download files (market updates, new apps, any other large files) through 3G. It works fine through wifi - just not over mobile data.
Some googling leads me to believe that older android builds used to have a "data saver" setting which prevented files to be downloaded over mobile data. I'm not able to find that setting in CM10/Trebuchet launcher. Any ideas?
(It's not a problem with my service provider - everything else on 3g/2g works fine)
Thanks
I can't connect to Google play store/Gmail or Google Now on my nexus 5 via Wifi. None of the older topics about the same problem helped. It seems to work on my mobile network. It started completely randomly, the only thing i installed was Lookout security (but i'm not sure if it started after that) Then i uninstalled it, but it did not work as well. I had stock unlocked Nexus 5, was planning on installing cyanogenmod so this was a perfect chance to do so, and get a fix to the problem. Surprisingly, even unlocking, rooting, installing CM did NOT solve the problem.
Google play says no connection
Google Now says sing in error
Gmail says no connection
Google+ is working though.
Since even installing custom ROM did not help, you can be sure i already tried clearing the caches/data and all of the simple steps.
Any ideas?
You said that you can't connect on wifi, so I assume that you can do so on your mobile data connection?

Yes everything works on mobile connection, only my google play installed apps list seems to be constantly loading without showing my apps.
Google now, gmail, everything works on mobile. Other family members on the same wifi don't have any problems accessing their apps.
I fixed the problem in case anyone else gonna have the same issue try this: open your wifi settings, hold on your current wifi connection, select modify, check show advanced options and select proxy to "none"
I have a moto g 8gb. It is rooted and i am using infusion custom rom (and have been for the past month). Yesterday, my wifi started being faulty. It works perfectly (though a bit slowly) for internet browsing on google chrome, and i can send hangouts fine. However, when i try to download or update an app from google play store, it doesnot download. It tells me it is downloading but after about 5min it says could not download. I also cannot connect to the internet in any games eg. candy crush and my instagram feed does not refresh. This occurs at home and work so i know it is not the wifi provider. Also, when i switch to 3g the apps begin downloading straight away.
I have tried rebooting my phone many times. I have tried lots of wifi fixer apps none of them help. My phone thinks it is connected but only chrome and hangouts works. I tried a factory reset then a TWRP restore to no avail. PLEASE HELP
Hello,
I've been having problems connecting with google services for a week now.
When I'm connected to my wifi, the wifi icon appears with an exclamation point and says "connected, no internet". I thought at first maybe it's a problem with my wifi router so I restarted the wifi, forgot the wifi connection, and tried to connect again. That didn't fix the problem. So I tried to connect through mobile data and everything seems to work fine. I connected to my wifi again hoping that the problem is fixed, but it still says "connected, no internet".
However, I opened my phone browser and it appears I have access to any website. All other apps that requires internet also works on wifi. Only the google apps like the play store, gmail, youtube and others don't work. My laptop also does not have problems connecting to the wifi so I don't think it's a wifi connection problem.
This problem occured after I installed RootCloak xposed module on my rooted note 3 device running temasek's unofficial cm13 rom. I already tried factory reset and even installing other roms due to desperation and nothing worked.
I hope someone will be able to help me solve this issue.
