As in the title, how do the two operating systems store their SMS messages? I'm trying to figure out where the messages are stored, in what format and if I can change the default location.
I am looking to get either a Wizard or a Tornado, preferably a Tornado but i'm not sure it will manage to store all my texts from my old phone and also store the ones i have, so i'll be looking to try and edit something (reghack?) to change the storage location to a miniSD card. I've posted mentioning the problem both in the Wizard and Tornado section but not had too much of a helpful response and since the problem is pretty much a windows problem not a phone problem i figured i'd post in here.

I want to make a diary with my HTC wizard and I want it online so I can write it anywhere and dont have to make backups and stuff.
I tried PocketBlogger and registered on MSN Spaces but PocketBlogger just crashes. I also thought of using the Google mobile bloggspott but its so much work with using hotmail and mail and stuff in windows mobile so it just seems too much.
Any tips of making quick, easy diarys/bloggs in windows mobile?
Im running the original windows mobile 5 OS on it now, when I get thetime I will try to upgrade it to WM6.

I'm looking for a app which allows me to manage sms messages from Microsoft Outlook (send, delete, store etc) as well. Using a HTC Touch Pro 2 with WM6.1
Now is there some freeware app which allows you to achieve this? Or is Jeyo the only way out?

I found that Treo have themself SMS format, differrent with other PPC, that why we can not saw SMS on JMC.

apparently Jeyo cannot sync sms on the Treo 750!
is there any app that will allow u to backup and view SMS on the computer for the 750???

I am the CEO for SynergeTech Solutions, the makers of Windows Mobile SMS Sync. For some reason, Palm decided to build their own proprietary SMS software for their Windows Mobile phones. Any application built to use the default Windows Mobile SMS data store will therefore return zero messages as they are not stored there for these devices.
At one time, Palm offered an SDK that possibly would have contained the APIs needed to interface with their proprietary message store for SMS. Unfortunately, they seem not to offer it anymore and I have been unable to get a response form them for guidance on obtaining it.
To the best of my knowledge, there are no backup/export applications in existence that can interface with these devices. If I am incorrect, or if anyone has the Palm Windows Mobile SDK, I would love to be corrected. My company is actively working on adding support for Palm devices and I will be sure to update this thread as soon as a Palm compatible version of Windows Mobile SMS Sync is released.

I too have been looking for a "sync" utility for SMS for the Treo 750.
Haven't found one yet, but I backup my messages to my PC simply by copying the message database. The SMS database is one file named PalmMsgV001 in the windows directory. Using ActiveSync Explorer on your PC it's as simple as "copy and paste".

Im looking for software that allows me to send sms messages on my pc. I have an HTC HD mini.
I tried "SMS control center" (smscontrolcenter.com/sms_pocketpc_home.aspx) but its a little to basic.
My previous phone was a Sony Ericsson and I used MyPhoneExplorer ("fjsoft.at/en/highlight.php") for synchronising contacts, files, text messages etc.. Great piece of software!
Now I'm looking for something similar but for Windows Mobile..
Anyone knows some software like this for Windows Mobile?
