Using ICS Superlite 4.0, I installed DSP Manager from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1573221
But, it has no effect on headset output; which mirrors my experience with ICS AOKP on my Samsung galaxy tab.
Similarly, the equalizer app from Smart Android Apps also has no effect in ICS on both devices. Although, the Poweramp equalizer does work.
Is DSP Manager working in ICS for anyone else?
I've been struggling with this also. I put the apk in system/app, set permissions, rebooted and no affect. I noticed under settings/sound there is an extra setting called music effects. ICS comes with something called music fx. When multiple apps are installed you have an option to switch between them. I still was unable to make any changes. Still working on it. If I figure it out I'll post an update.

Seems to work for me, though I can only tell with headphones on. Under the Settings menu make sure Music Effects is set to DSP Manager
It could also be the beats audio zip I flashed as well?

It should - I used it with SkyIceCream sandwich - I'd make a Nandroid backup first but it should work
*Blazing* with SensatioN on Ice Cream Sandwich and XDA Premium
Tested with headphones, effects set to DSP Manager in ICS settings, tried settings in each of the DSP tabs, while playing in Google Music / Samsung Music. No change in audio output.

I know there are various miui music apk's out there, but I have not managed to find one which has the equilizer built in - this is the main reason I want it cos beats sounds ****! Also tried volume+ and that doesnt sound great either.
Does anyone know where I can get the apk, or could someone tell me if its possible to extract it from a MIUI build?
Im talking about the latest gingerbread version btw, not ics.

I just did a google search, and installed the APK... however I get force close when I open it. How do I install it properly? Im running ARHD gingerbread

So i know this has been asked a MILLION times but NOT one camera apk I try works....
Cm9 on Htc inspire 4g(duh x.x) i dont know where to find a working camera. i need someone that walk me step by step through the process on how to install either the stock camera OR a new one.:crying:

Stock camera won't work with aosp roms. Anyone who has used the inspire sense camera knows how much the aosp camera sucks. It's just something you have to live with on aosp. It's actually one of the main reasons I stick with sense. Not willing to see the great camera on these phones go to waste.

Yeah, I agree. Sense ROMs are the best for that 8MP shooter of ours I've only had 2 AOSP ROMs,CM7 & Ice Cold Sandwich. Then I've had 2 Sense ROMs, AR HD and Primo-S. ARHD had the best camera of all.

If it is possible, Please generate a installation file for HTC pico Stock apps like Gapps.
because CM9 is The best Custom ROM i have ever used but some features are lacking like HTC SRS & dolby sound function,music player, weather live wallpaper, media player,
also wanted to suggest one thing, the DSP manager provides good effect but sound gets distorted at full volume.CM9 will be a (one man show) great rom if this function gets corrected.

Those are the features of HTC Sense or a sense ROM.

Yup those are Sense based. I did read somewhere that they can be ported to CM based Rom, but are very buggy.

Weather live wallpaper you can find loads on Play Store.
Apollo music player in cm rom's are great. Cm's inbuilt DSP Manager gives you great srs, dolby & multi equilizer effect. I loved them cuz its much efficient & better in quality.
In cm10 unofficial jellybean rom, i got such great srs effect in 60% volume that i couldn't hear anything else on the road.
You may also try Beats Audio tweak if you want to. I haven't used them, though.

I'm on the latest ice cream sandwich version of venom rom and I was setting up Google Now but it tells me my device is not compatible.
I did flash over elementalx kernel but I didn't think that would matter. Any ideas?

Well I want to hook my phone to tv with my mt4gs but doesn't work on cm base ics or jb only on sense. I was wondering if this will ever be fixed.

I didn't even realize that this feature was lost by switching to the non-stock roms. I hope this gets figured out by someone. I guess maybe running a multi-boot solution that boots a custom rom or slightly modified stock rom might work as a temporary workaround.
Yes I really hope it is fixed because I love cm based roms but I kinda need this feature.
Now I have tried sense 3.6 to sense 4.0 no go on them just have blue screen on tv nothing at all on cm based. But it works great on mik 0.7 so I stick with mik. Please devs try to fix for us please.
