So i edited some images in systemui, replaced with root explorer...working great, except now the file is running in task manager. Is that a permissions issue? I didn't fix them...did i need to?

I guess what im asking is, what are the correct permissions for that file?

They should be rw-r--r--

Or are they the same thing? If so then I did that and it didn't work, I just want the Droid voice from the commercials to play when I turn on my phone
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
Open root explorer...and go to etc....its on the first page when you open root explorer
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda premium
And yes...it will work....delete PowerOn.wav....replace with your wav file(and it has to be a wav file) and rename it PowerOn.wav....spelled exactly like that....

I've done that and no luck :-( i've been sitting here for the last few hours trying to figure out why

If i'm putting it in they righty directory then why wouldn't it be working, could it be a specific coding in the format of the audio file?

When you download an app from the Amazon app store where does it go? Its not listed in manage apps under settings.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Did you install the apk after it downloaded?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Yes. But they're not listed under manage apps.

Forget that, they are there. How about an app that's downloaded but I didn't install?

I'm running on zeus. And the only thing I'm missing are the stock live wallpapers. I was just wondering how I can get those back?
Thanks!

You can extract them from another rom that has them, push them to your current /system/app and set the permissions to: rw-r--r--.

If you still need them I'll make a CWM flashable later for you, let me know.

Added all my apks to Rom and when i install the Rom it bootloops. But,if i remove my apks the Rom installs fine.
Any ideas or a better way to add them so they will install with the Rom,or make them a flashable zip file?

When you add them do you put them in the system app folder or the data app folder?

Maybe just install your apps after it boots?
Or...if you have a lot, install them after boot and then purchase titanium backup. It makes getting back to you normal running state simple. I can flash and be up to speed in about 5 minutes.
