[Q] Senseless gingerbread ROM? - HTC Sensation

Anyone know a good senseless gingerbread ROM that utilizes
both cores of the CPU in the actual UI and ROM?
Thanks for the help guys.

No more gingerbread ROMs for sensation. Flash ICs and enjoy

Why gingerbread? that's an old story

Well because I'm s-on with hboot 1.23 I can only use android 4.91 roms which are awful so I'm using g gingerbread and you can't beat miui rom, overclocked to 1.7ghz and a lot longer battery life.

Also if you want all gingerbread roms, look here: http://www.htcsensationroms.com/all-builds/ and look at the bottom for gingerbread roms.

ROM with 2.3.4

Currently running senseless 1.3 (2.3.3), but was curious about the 2.3.4 roms. What exactly are the benefits of 2.3.4?

It feels snappier! You should try it! Insercoin and bulletproof are both solid roms. Do a nandroid and give it a spin.
better battery life and smoothness
How does 2.3.4 give it more smoothness?

It's not 2.3.4 per se, it's the optimized sense integration I think. so in a senseless rom I don't think 2.3.4 is smoother than the previous version.

it uses solar energy.. in 2.3.4 there is a software called solenergie which converts the solar energy into raw processor speed...do a benchmark and u will see that ur score will be OVER 9000 !
Better battery life, faster and smooth...

What are the best kernels to use with Coredroid 2.4 ?

Just flashed Coredroid 2.4 to my Sensation a couple of days ago and it's working great and just wanted to know what Kernels are Compatible with Coredroid 2.4 for the Sensation.
flash Sense 3.5 rom now is the best.
I need to know what kernels will work with COREDRIOD
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I have tried most of them but not the latest ones. For me the bricked kernels were the best of all of them but I eventually reverted to stock.
Remember to always come from a stock kernel before flashing any of the kernels on coredroid for the best results and avoid boot loops. Nandroids are your best friends!!
Have fun!

I did the same, I was running Bulletproof but now I'm on stock.
Bricked kernel is pretty fast and makes everything smooth.

I always use bricked. Works with most custom rooms out there. I even changed custom rom that bricked kernel doesn' work.
With coredorid 2.4 I use to have bricked 0.91.
Now I 'm trying latest insertcoin with latest bricked after energy with 0.91.
Why did you guy's go back to the stock what was wrong with the other kernels
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I'm not sure what their probs were but mine would freeze up (white screen w\ Htc logo). I personally would stay with stock no probs to speak of with it.
I've been running CoreDroid since ver 1.4.
To install the stock kernel do I just download it and flash it?

+1 stock.

Endymion IMHO

I personally recommend Hyperion if you are after a stock experience, with tweaks..

Both very good roms with top class support. What I did was installed and setup both, took a nandroid backup of each that way you can flick between the two and decided which you prefer.

I'm using Endymion. Very happy with the performance and stability....

Yeah thats the one!
For sense 3.0 or 3.5 itll be worth using hboot 2.00.2002 also, and if you used revolutionary youll want to change from the revolutionary hboot anyway as if you get into problems like bootloops in the future, the revolutionary hboot is harder to overwrite...
BeatMod BlissSense Hybrid| Sense 3.5 | 2.3.5

There are no custom boot animations on Hyperion V2.1, and the base look is completely stock on the last version. The RCTweaks come pre-installed, which can mess with the look of Rosie and the status bar, but you can configure them to behave stock-ish.
Anyway, what do you mean by "less bugs"? To my knowledge, there are no bugs.
One thing, and this should be made a sticky (hear me Ben?):
If you unlocked your phone using HTCDev, you are still S-ON, and the kernel is not being written when you flash the rom. Any rom. So you have to manually flash boot.img from the rom you want using fastboot.
If you try a 3.5 rom and it doesn't even boot, this is the problem.
Cheers

Oh ic, but it seems that it is using my battery much quicker than the stock ROM xd I'm now using endymion and I think its quite good. Beautiful UI love it. However does it use more batt than Hyperion? D: hope it doesn't lol

In my experience Hyperion is marginally better for battery but there is not a huge amount in it, but, Endymion wins in all other areas.
So the best sense 3.5 Rom is endymion?

ICS

PLEASE help me decide, which ICS custom rom to flash.I need the one that is reported to be more stable than the others.I curently run the latest of ARHD for GB and I am very happy with the rom but eventualy I have to upgrade to ICS.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using xda premium
Most of the ics roms are pretty stable, depends on wether you want a sense from or not and what sort of features you like. You should maybe just try some and see what you like. ARHD and insert coin are very good sense roms though. And I recommend virtuous Inquisition and extreme sensation prime for senseless roms. Hope this helps

If I'm on 3.32 firmware can I flash any HTC sensation rom?

I was wondering if I'm on 3.32 firmware can I flash any HTC sensation from without causing a problem? Just learning thanks.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
No. Just roms that use the 3.32 firmware.
That basically means you can use the ics roms but not tge gingerbread roms.

nah dude i think only the ICS roms. the GB roms will require the old firmware.
Yes just to confirm that. You are able to flash all ICS roms. This means sense 3.6 and sense 4.0 roms. You arnt able to install any gingerbread roms sense 3.0 or 3.5 based roms.
thanks guys that's what I wanted to know! Finally my question is answered!

But its easy enough to switch back to gingerbread firmware if you want to switch back and forth. It will only add about 2 minutes to the flashing time.
So no worries
