[P6200/6210/T869] CyanogenMod 9 (DEFUNCT) - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Hear ye, hear ye! I've started porting CyanogenMod 9 to the Galaxy Tab Plus. While it's up and running (and actually quite usable), this is really only a developer preview. Please understand that this is a very rough initial port, and lots of stuff doesn't work.
Warning! Do not flash!
Do not flash this unless you know how to backup your data and especially unless you know how to get back to stock. If you don't already know how to do this, you might want to familiarize yourself with the process now, while the other developers and me get CM9 to a more "daily driver" state. I don't have time to help n00bs unbrick their devices. No offense!
Known issues
Please don't complain about them unless you're willing to fix them.
USB mounting of internal storage (will never work). Removable sdcard can work, but is disabled for now. Note: USB mounting is different than MTP, which works fine already.
HDMI out
Hardware acceleration for DivX/MP3
IR Blaster
WiFi is a bit iffy, sometimes you need to toggle it off and on
GPS doesn't get as many satellites as in stock

It's great to see more ROMS for this device.
But, for the un-initiated like myself, who are on their first Android device and are primarily only used to Sense based ROMS could you please attempt to explain the difference between your ROM [ROM][AUG29] CyanogenMod 7.1 RC1 and this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1199295"][ROM] [CM7] unofficial nightly
Much appreciated.

trismegistos, SuperKid and myself have all been working on CyanogenMod for our Desire S. The "nightly" builds posted by trismegistos are built from the absolutely latest code from CyanogenMod. The nightly system exists mainly for people to test upcoming changes between major CyanogenMod releases (like 7.0 to 7.1), and for supported devices are generated automatically every night.
trismegistos has been posting his own nightly builds of SuperKids ROM, though I believe his plan now is to stop and let me put out updates once a week or so.
Our long term plan is to get the Desire S officially supported by CyanogenMod, then if you want to run a "bleeding edge" build, you can grab the newest every night from them.
Hope this helps =)

exactly
I was using SuperKid's 1.1 ROM, and I flashed the latest nightly ontop of that (without full wipe) and have been using that.
Would you recommend a full wipe before installing this or would it be just as good if I just flashed this over my existing setup?
I been busy making other roms and working on other projects, that i kind of left the cyanogen mod rom.
We started from the beggining with NeoLojik to make this rom and he kept all this time fixing it and improving it, if there is someone that deserves get credit about this rom is him.
So from now on, he will be doing the porting of cyanogen to this device at least the unnoficial ones, we hope we will get official soon.
Anyways, i will be here and help in anything that needed!
any chance to use this with the sense 3 keyboard somehow?
Currently on superkid's CM7 v 1.3.2. I believe it's obsolete now. Will flash this tomorrow.
Hope we get officially supported by the CM team soon..... IDK why they would leave out such a wonderful device.
i can't see a proper changelog and i was wondering what's the difference in this new cyanogenmod compared to the one superkid made? I'm still running superkid's cyanogenmod.
This is great news.
What is the difference between the kernel included in this ROM and the one that Tiamat has developed?
I really hope that this one get official

NOT BAD ?!?!?! It was great, I'm using it right now I meant that it won't be updated, so it's outdated (obsolete was probably a too harsh word). Also, you need to concentrate more on other ROMs so it was a good idea to hand over this project to others.
Wow, this is great news! I was trying to build CM7 from your Github tree, but got some errors unfortunately.
I can confirm the Bluetooth works great, even the last week integration of the full AVRCP 1.3 profile works. I can finally see what song is playing on my carkit
Should the commit from superkid (add Saga support to CM7) be changed to the new github?
Great job guys!!

Afraid not, all the Sense based applications require the HTC frameworks to function and to my knowledge no-one has ever successfully ported those into an AOSP ROM.

Whilst both versions are CyanogenMod, they're based off different "device" sources. SuperKid's original CM7 was based upon my first ever device tree. I scrapped that and started fresh for this one. It's been about a month of work from then 'till now.

The included kernel is based on the same code as the Tiamat one, but lacks any sort of overclocking or Tiamat specific tweaks. It's a fully stock kernel. Feel free to flash Tiamat 1.1.1 onto this ROM, it works fine. I just wanted to ship it with a stock AOSP kernel =)

- no hd video recording can be selected
- and the shutter sound does not work. (bug or feature)

No HD video in camcorder. I *believe* high is HD. Can't do this myself atm but do a test recording and check the resolution on a PC.
The shutter sound is disabled in the CyanogenMod mainline source because of a bug with audio recording when using the camcorder. I'll chase up the bug and see if it's been fixed.

This is epic man. Makes we wish I didn't spend the ten bucks on my refurbed Skyrocket.(well kinda anyway). Have you talked to White about getting it added official like? Once all the bugs are ironed out of course.

Thanks to ktoonsez for the cpu and gpu tables. That makes life easier as a good starting point.

Ill leave that to the full time kernel devs this is just supposed to be simple, fast, clean.
you can still use KTweaker to modify cpu, gnu and governor. Until performance control is fixed and updated.

Technically they are equally updated. They were both synced since the last sicnificant merge.... the difference is the picks and what we are working on. ... I know that doesn't answer your question but you need to pay attention to what extras we say are in the build and choose which you prefer.... its the benefit and curse of having more than one of us working on this device. . BTW I should have something new tonight or tomorrow lol.

Upon flashing this ROM, your phone warranty is now VOID. You also understand that, upon flashing this ROM, there is no guarantee that ALL APPS work as they would normally, as this is NOT an official ROM provided by Samsung or the CyanogenMod team. You may experience bugs, and you are encouraged to report them along with a logcat. The contributors and developers (myself included) will not be held responsible for any abnormality this ROM may cause, including but not limited to battery drain and lag.
This ROM is ONLY TESTED on Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus (GT-S7500), other variants have not been tested and will brick your phone.
Introduction
CyanogenMod (pronounced sigh-AN-oh-jen-mod), is a customized, aftermarket firmware distribution for several Android devices. Based on the Android Open Source Project, CyanogenMod is designed to increase performance and reliability over Android-based ROMs released by vendors and carriers such as Google, T-Mobile, HTC, etc. CyanogenMod also offers a variety of features & enhancements that are not currently found in these versions of Android.
Working Features
Samsung RIL
Audio Playback
WiFi
Bluetooth
Mobile Data
Kernel supports overclocking
GPS
Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, other sensors
Mounting of external SD Cards
Live Wallpapers
Camera
Fast Charging
Not Working
NONE (see note regarding bug below)
WiFi MAC Addresses are the same for all devices using this ROM (not a major issue. You can still use WiFi without problems. alternatively, you can use the fix located in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63095528&postcount=1331 (thanks to @kk9999gada), which allows you to use your original MAC address, which fixes the issue.)
Installation Instructions
Create a backup of your current WORKING ROM.
Copy the flashable ZIP to your SD Card.
Wipe your data/cache, including the Dalvik Cache.
Flash as you normally would.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I want to build a ROM for Galaxy Ace Plus. Where do I start?
A: I'm looking into providing a tutorial soon so that other users can also build ROMs for our phone.
Q: Lollipop. When?
A: When KitKat for our phone is stable, Lollipop would be considered. But now, nope.
Q: I found a fix for a bug. Where do I send it?
A: You can PM it to me, or post it in the thread. ALL FIXES ARE WELCOME.
Q: Your sources?
A: All my sources are on my GitHub profile. I make sure that all my GitHub uploads can be built successfully before I publish them in order to avoid a lot of build errors.
Q: I want a transparent status bar. How do I do that?
A: /system/build.prop should be ro.config.low_ram=false (unchanged), then open Settings > Performance (you will only see this after enabling Developer Options, which you could do by going to Settings > About Phone and tapping the Build Number 7 times) > then check Force High-End Graphics then reboot.
ThankGod..!!!
There is still a ray of hope for our phone.!!

I'm aiming for the camera fix. Right now the camera is being detected in the kernel, but could not load it because it seems to not read the Camera HAL module. The next build will be using a different version of the android frameworks that would allow the loading of the camera HAL. Right now the only problems we have in my logcats are the proprietary parts that Samsung did not make fully open-source.
For instance, our camera is a proprietary version of msm7x27a and even though there are other similar cameras on the similar boards, ours contain some lines of code from Samsung that we cannot reverse engineer, making it hard to re-create the camera module.
thanks
Dear developer liam
Thanks a billion times for trying cyanogen 11 on ace plus .
we appreciate your efforts.
Waiting for cm 11 bugfree
I'll be the first tester...

Thanks. All that's left to resolve is the WebKit lag. Starting to upload Build #2 right now. Build #3 should be in the works very soon. I want Build #3 to be a final stable release, so I'm hoping for more bug reports during Build #2 so that I can work on the remaining bugs for Build #3.
As for camcorder, same issue with other 4.x ROMs for Ace Plus. Native camcorder doesn't work properly, but using third-party apps work.
Well done Liam, you are a great developer!!! Thank you so much....I will try build #2...I hope to see a stable release on our ace plus...
Build #2 is now online! See the OP for the download link.
For bug reports, please include a logcat. Thank you!

Liam D. flash seems don't work.
Please, test in your phone.
Note: If you flash this https://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=NIIjDsscL7gafATeEm3V188iUzIjmAsixly8YliwBeE= maybe work again.
It's the FIX for the same problem in SpeedMod ROM.

Hm. That might have something to do with the fix I applied recently for the camera.
Have you tried using the Xposed Module for it? If it works, then I'll put that method into OP for a temporary fix as I work on reverting to the old code. As for your link, it's broken.
Thanks for reporting!

I fooled me, meant "autofocus" don't work instead of flash.
I'll try flash soon and i say something.
Note: Apollo don't play music! For FIX, use "Omich Player" from PlayStore.
