That's where I used to go on GB to forward my calls. I can't find that option on ICS...currently only looked hard for it on owain's kang.
I searched google and xda but i havent found anything.
Any help?
Go to dialer/contacts then hit menu button then settings...it's there on ics (well at least on hfs).

Good info, found as you listed with ICS 4.0.4
Non-intuitive area to surface this functionality.

Well, I just finished pushing CM7 and getting all my settings in. I have tmo's VM # entered as "+1805..", etc. I have enabled "Voicemail Notifications". Put in my #, registered on the network, etc.
But.. I am not getting the new VM notification on the status bar. It shows the missed call easily.. and I have 4-5 new VMs sitting there as tests.. notta for the notification.
I pushed faux's kernel.. finished making all my other tweaks.. and this is my last area I can't figure out.. I spent 30min searching and reading threads... can't find an answer. Any idears?
I am getting them using CM7 RC1. I am using the CM7 kernel though so it could be an issue with faux.

it was happening pre-faux and post-faux installs.. I have tried wiping the caches, disabling vm notification > reboot > re-enable > reboot.. No go.
I have no clue.. and I really don't want to wipe/flash again... but it's looking like that is what I gotta do..
i wiped and flashed the latest cm7 nightly, I didn't push gapps for the heck of it.. booted, put in the vm/phone info. no go. Rebooted.. no go.
at a lost..
well, pushed the nandroid back on.. same issues. Ticket opened w/ TMO.. great, now I have to call and wait 30min on hold.
for anyone else having this prob on CM7, there is an issue reported.. seems like I'm not the only one..
Issue 2801
I've had my g2x for 4 days. I've done the cwm but not yet rooted for I haven't picked up an sd card. My issue is that from the first boot up the phone shows the new voicemail notification and I have no new voicemails in the tmobile system or google voice. Any fixes for this?

TMO was no help.. I just went w/ google voice and didn't look back. It's a much better option anyways.. I was reluctant to switch, but it is a great resource..
i use google voice. and I haven't used tmo vm in quite a while but out of the box the phone showed vm notification and I cant clear it>(
So I just got my Nexus S 4G two days ago and I rooted it yesterday, after a few issues. Since then I haven't been able to send texts. I hit send and the little circle just keeps going round and round. Help!
Rooted and installed a ROM? Or are you on stock ROM? Did you install any kernel?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G
I only rooted, nothing else. I just unrooted and re-rooted using the One Click method. I can now send texts and I'm putting all my data back onto the phone and trying again, to see if it's something else..
i think your SMS center number is just left blank
on the dialer type *#*#4636#*#* then select "Phone information" then scroll down to SMSC and click REFRESH if it's blank then you should contact your operator and get the SMSCenter number and fill it there hope it helps
Edit:Oh nvm just saw u got it working ...
irizwan - Actually earlier today I flashed the Carbon ICS ROM and texting was working fine, then I went to work and about an hour ago I sent my first text since I started work and it wouldn't work. I did what you said and the space is blank, now I need to know what my operator is so I can fix this. Thank you for that info!
Shauna, try updating your prl and profile under about phone. That may help. I can't speak to the smsc but mine is blank and I have no issues sending or receiving texts.

Where do I find that? I looked in the testing thingamabob and all there is is Phone Info, Battery Info, Usage Statistics and Wifi Info. Under Phone Info there's nothing that says prl and profile.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I do remember it working before I opened up Autostarts and pretty much killed the startup of all the apps. Maybe I killed the wrong app/system thingy. Idk. Anyway, re-flashing ROM and not touching Autostarts this time. Hopefully this'll help.
Sorry, you should be able to update those in settings - about phone - sprint system updates. Also, you shouldn't worry too much about killing apps from starting or running. That shouldn't stop you from sending texts though. It would easily keep you from receiving texts tho if you killed messaging.

hmm when i had problems sending Txt's i read from somewhere that you have to take your operator smsc and convert it to hex or binary I don't remember but it was something like that not actually hex something else which i don't remember sorry after conversion i filled my smsc then hit "update" thats it =]
Edit : Ok i searched and found that you need to convert your SMSC number into PDU format heres a link to do it http://rednaxela.net/pdu.php
Hope it helps
Edit2: if that doesn't work for you .. you can flash MIUI and you can set the SMSC number in the settings menu =]
Hmm, that would be the first time I've ever heard of that. Op are you using the stock messaging app? When you say you can't send, what exactly are you seeing to indicate this? Are you on the latest radio?

For me, it is found here:
Home Key -> Menu -> Settings -> About Phone -> Sprint System Updates
If not on Sprint, may be slightly different.
Thank you both for the replies. I haven't done anything with Autostarts and I haven't had a problem with texting sooo I'm not sure what the problem was.

Hi everyone Im new to the Android scene.
So I got a LG Thrill, Unlocked it with a NCK code for use on T-Mobile, then I updated the software to v21a so its a p920 so I can use t-mobile fully with it. Super 1 Click'ed, Installed CWM and put on the ThiaiZ rom. Every thing seems to be going fine software wise, However When I put in my T-Mobile sim it shows "no network". With no sim in at all it shows "no service".
Also, Whenever I try to access Settings>Wireless & networks>Mobile networks it gives me "The application settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close."
Same thing when I go to Settings>call settings.
Also when I dial a number and call It gives me "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close"
When I try to check for an IMEI on the phone it shows up blank. Im assuming this is due to the conversion process.
Can any body help me out with this one?
Thanks
Try a full wipe an reflash the thiaz rom im running it on my thrill right now but i have att also make sure your apn is correct

If that dont work try reflashing the v21a
Thrill 4g on O3D
Try to dial *#*#4636#*#* and change the radio type under the first menu entry in factory menu settings and have it match what you set it for in normal settings
I have a LG P925 and all things works ok with v21a and v21b.
Ok I reflashed the v21a and the ROM and made sure every thing is cleared like the cache and all and then it gave me an imei so it seems to be working fine now. Been playing with it since. Been messing with go launcher and it seems pretty cool.
So far I like the big screen and every thing. I installed Swype and it takes some getting used to. It's neat and all but I feeling I can still type faster on the regular keyboard. I can see the battery isn't as good as my iPhone 4 but to be fair I haven't put it down.
What's some of the must have stuff for this phone?
So far I see go launcher isn't popular because it's unstable with other roms? On this thaiaz ROM it seems to run smooth.
Thanks!

Hello, i have the same error, how did you reflash the v21a and the rom, because i am a nub in android...
My Crespo4g recently stopped receiving incoming calls while at the same time my search and home keys stopped as well. Also I noticed that my long-press power button menu was missing choices. I wiped and flashed cm9 and it seemed to fix it then a couple hours later it all came back. If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Try updating your profile in settings>about phone>Sprint system updates>Update Profile.
If that doesn't work you can try re-provisioning, but you need to know your MSL to do that. Type in *#*#72786#*#*, put your msl in, and re-provision.
Just tried to re-provision with no luck. Thanks though.

There are many many many guides on this. Look in android development.
I installed CM10 over the weekend, and discovered a few things need setting up.
One thing was my screen started to flicker and extensive searching found the fix... check the Disable HW Overlay under developer settings.
Now I received a voice mail, but get an error that there is no voicemail number setup, and since it's my first voicemail, I have never bothered to remember it. Anyone know what it is? I have searched the web but no luck so far.
So how about any other settings "Land Mines" need setup in CM10?
