Can anyone connect to HTC Hub?
I've not tried for a while, but having just updated to ICS I tried to connect, and after a period of trying it reports HTC Hub is not available, and to try again later, which I have tried may times with no luck.
Am I the only one with problems?

You can't connect any more, since HTC Hub requires the login into HTCsense.com Since that has been closed some days ago, HTC Hub is not accessible, either.

I had to remove the HTC Sense account from the phone, and the re-sign-in.
All working now!

I have tried everything, resigning in, making a new account, reinstalling the htc store apk, cleared sense data. But nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Sorted, HTC Hub is still available only in the US, so HTC Hub will work if you set you'r system language to English (United States)
No its not working. My phone is set to English(United States) but still HTC hub loads and says please refresh. This just goes on and on but I cant access the hub.

Yeah, HTC hub worked for me with what I said before but the problem has come up again for me.
I have a TMO sensation 4G ICS and am able to connect any time. never had any issue.
Finally its working. Tried logging out and in again several times but didn't work. Then I just added the hub widget and it just started. Strange but it worked for me.

I just bought a new HTC inspire with froyo 2.2 from ATT in the US unlocked. Now I sent this phone to my bro in Peru, where he had a HTC aria without any problems.
Phone works great but we can not install skype. We can not even find it in the android market. I tried to download it from skype.com/m but I cant. It says (this item is not available in your carrier). However as I told you he has an HTC aria with the same phone carrier and uses skype there without a problem.
How can I fix this ????

Have you tried turning off data and accessing the market through wifi only?
If the phone is rooted use market enabler not sure if works with unrooted ones, also try 4shared app from 4shared.com to find Skype apk, can have issues tho until u download the right apk for ur device

I had Skype up and running on my Android, but my phone's hardware died and went to Hades. I received a replacement phone; when I tried to re-load Skype, I found it didn't even show up on the Android Market! I tried other application download engines, as well as the download link from Skype.Com, all with the same result.
After hours of agonizing with Skype and Sprint tech support, and getting nowhere, I spent about 7 hours reviewing, over and over, my Android's settings. I finally resolved it thus:
1. Open the Android Market
2. Choose "Settings."
3. Change the "Content Filtering" maturity rating to "Medium."
And that's it! I don't understand why Skype requires a slightly immoral maturity rating, since the app is positively "G" rated, and I've already complained to them about that.

I updated to Mango Final a few days ago but I just realised that a few HTC apps have gone missing from the Marketplace.
Sound Enhancer
Attentive Phone
Connection Setup
HTC Compass
All have gone from the marketplace. I would like to reinstall them but can't find them. Does anyone know what happened to them?
They had some problems on the 1. Gen devices like the musikplayer crashes and so on....
Yeah I hope they resolve the issue...i used all of those before the update and now none of them work...really need the connection setup for my mms to work
I also cant find any that you listed using "HTC Apps" but if i search HTC they start showing up like Compass and Dock Mode which isn't listed if i just hit "HTC Apps".
I was hoping to try Attentive Phone with Mango for i had trouble with it before.
In official Mango Sound Enhancer and Attentive Phone you have in settings not apps list. I think so these applications is not in the market because they are in system (official Mango).

dont look under HTC apps... just use search in marketplace... sound enhancer is pulled... cause crashes...
Many people say they have the sound enhancer built in under settings (also 1st Gen such as Mozart). I uninstalled mine to see if I could install the new version and it has now disappeared. I've tried looking for it every way possible but it's nowhere to be found. I want it back, sound is crap on my Mozart without it! What can I do?!

I have a problem with ICS on my Sensation... Every ROM i tried it was the same... (InsertCoin, ARHD etc.)
When i want to sync my mails via exchange (gmail) the settings i setup are not saved, every time when i hit the mail icon there are only 3 days synched and the sync size is also reseted to default 5kb...
Sync days and time from - to stay saved, only those two options always resetet... Why??
Is there any fix for this or is it an build bug from ICS?

I've exactly the same problem, doesn't matter what ROM I use or if I full wipe or not, and it's REALLY ANNOYING.

yeah, this problem has been in every sense 3.6 rom i've used. anyway, the solution i used is to used a de-sensed rom which does not contain this error. (hypernonsense is very stable for use)

I think we all know that this bug is well known.
So think the idea of this thread is to show our devs how many people are suffering of this problem.
I also think that everyone knows that it's HTC's fault, but maybe our geniuses here at xda-dev are better than the HTC-devs in finding a solution

Any fix for this? I am getting the same for my gmail account, but not my company mail. Strange... If anybody here does not experience the issue with gmail, please share your setting. Thank you.
I have the same problem with Hotmail. I tried ARHD, InsertCoin, and Elegancia. Have not tested NRG ICS, will try later this week.
ICS has been out for already a couple of weeks. Has anyone tried it on STOCK ICS?

Yep, it still exists. It's a bug on all ROM's based on the Stock ICS release.
Installed yesterday ARHD 6.6 and settings stay,as long as I do not turn off the handset or restart it.
I know it may or may not be the ideal solution, but when I had my HTC Desire it also had problems with exchange active sync, and like the Desire I have installed the AOSP ICS mail apk and so far push email has been working fine and sticking to the assigned settings regardless of reboots etc.

How could I install ARHK 6.6, while I already have OTA ICS and Revolutionary doesn't suppport HBOOT above 1.18 to set my device on S-OFF?

Hi, this problem is driving me crazy.
My work exchange account works fine, settings are saved and stay there even after restart, but the settings of my hotmail (config as exchange account also) are not kept.
Also I have some problems with some emails (originally written in english) which are displayed in chinese characters. I can't find anyway to show them in English.
Can someone post or link the ASOP ICS mail apk?

It is finally fixed with OTA 3.33 firmware update (installed yesterday) in Europe.
Confirm,finally the fix on the latest OTA.
Also the HTC Note was placed.
The initial optimization has disappeared.

Hi there, I noticed this app in my downloaded apps section in the system settings. Don't recall downloading it specifically and searched on google and here didnt turn anything up. Can anyone confirm if this is a legit app? Is it the HTC sync that is installed when installing drivers/adb (as part of the rooting process etc)? If thats it then fine, but wanted to check it out as it has access to a lot of information. The app is 1.21Mb in size.
Im rooted and s-off'd and running virtuous inquisition rom. Grateful if someone could provide clarification.

Did anyone ever get back to you on this? I had to re-root my htc evo 4g and the rom I used has htc sync 900. It won't sync and my laptop htc sync program produces unknown error 1000.
Any clues?

I have been having the same problem, im on a un-rooted htc sensation. I uninstalled the htc sync version 900 from the phone and then tried syncing with the computer. It worked first time once that was gone. Hope that helps
I have a Tmobile MyTouch 4G Slide rooted with Bulletproof Blue 61X. I will admit I am rather ignorant to this "rooted" smartphone stuff, but I do have a few issues:
1. Mainly, GOOGLE SEARCH DOES NOT WORK ON THIS PHONE!! I even downloaded the google search widget and that doesn't work either!! I type in what I'm searching, tap the screen or hit enter, NOTHING HAPPENS. The Tmobile quick lookup icon doesn't work, when I hit enter, I get the "The application Quick Lookup has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" window. I cannot connect to the internet at all, yet my facebook app works.
I just bought this phone from someone and I'm ready to track them down and get my money back!!
2. I cannot set up any other email on my phone other than Gmail. Once again the set up icon doesn't work either. I hit the "other email account" button, absolutely nothing happens!
3. I also have issues with certain widgets that were functional on my previous my touch
I contacted T-Mobile and was told that software version 1.28.531.9 is the problem. How do I change this when the phone won't connect to the web to receive the update?
PLEASE HELP...I am utterly frustrated.
First off don't talk to tmobile about a rooted phone, they're cluless. Without bothering to trouble shoot everything the quick fix is to just wipe fully and flash a new rom

Thank you, so basically I can restore the phone to its original version? The Tmobile rep actually called HTC for me, the HTC rep was the one who informed us that the software version 1.28.531.9 was problematic.
Well htc won't be any help either as they will only give help and support to offical software. Which on the doubleshot is not the best. Stick with a custom rom if you want real close to stock yet better there are a few to choose from, you'll find all the info in the developers section on what roms are avalible as well as instructions on how to flash if you're unfimiliar
