V20e enhancements - LG Optimus 3D

Hello everyone..I always used to flash ThiaiZ roms and update every version but due to lack of RTL support..I had to return to v20E which is official GB for middle east region..but as always I had to suffer from lag and bad ram handling of official ROMS..although I did notice disappearance of GC issue!could be luck..any how I am asking if there are any enhancements and tweaks for a stock non deodexed rom only rooted with CWM installed?to improve performance and increase stability?it's killing me but what to do..there are not a single customized ROM based on v20e..any help is appreciated..thx

Hi, you could try CyanogenMod 7.2. I'm not sure if it supports RTL, but it supports Hebrew and 3 Arabic languages I think, according to Languages and Keyboards. I can't read Arabic so I can't say for sure. If you can include how RTL Arabic appears in Languages and Keyboards, I can check if the same option exists.
EDIT:
According to this (under international support) CyanogenMod supports RTL scripts. If it's true then you can keep the v20e baseband and flash CM directly or update to v21d baseband then flash CM7.2.

Very thankful..but I am looking for other options other than CM..because of the fatal errors that hardware brick my phone..it is well known now and alot of people avoid it..well u can check by making the phone language set to Arabic..then see if the menus and settings are read from the right or not..thanks my dear

What fatal errors? I'm using CM now and everything is fine. Anyway, I don't read Arabic so I have no idea what I'm reading.

hehehehhe I am feeling how u feel man I tried to read russian once and I got a headache!well I know 3 of my friends with CM who tried to format thier internal SD card and bricked thier phones..also trying to format system from CWM or mounting the SD card caused a hardwarre brick and had to replace the board..PEACE

What about 3D functionality?is it completely lost??

mr7ba man
someone asked the developer of this rom:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1570937
to make the rom with 20e base(check page 3) and he said yes and he'll do it...so we should have it soon
im using it right now...its a great rom
may i ask....is the full hd video recording in this rom better than the one in the 21a rom...and besides the RTL support....does the rom has anything better than the 21a?

Any ideas what languages are included or is this just english + some asian language??
I guess it's BRI, meaning Taiwan...
perfect update wifi bug fixed and fast as crazy highly recommented..respect
Could you please put a list of languages that are installed on this firmware version?
Thank you.

its still asian right?
yes its asian rom
seems it has the same languages with I9001ZSKP6
BTW, Przekret, where did you get this rom?
Hmm... Is this a Stock ROM or Rooted ?
I have noticed the comments of the users which flash the 2.3.6 (I9001ZSKP5) said that the ROM has many problems... This is the newer version of the previous I9001ZSKP5 right ?
Is it stable already ? Anyone tested ?
it was just one single user reporting some wifi issue with ZSKP5, and nobody else was able to confirm that independently i bet its a stock rom, just like ZSKP3 and ZSKP5. available languages are chinese and english, just like before. and concerning stability i wouldnt worry too much. i have the ZSKP3 installed and it runs like a charm so i doubt that the ZSKP6, which IS indeed an update of ZSKP3 and ZSKP5, suddenly turned unstable all of a sudden
cheers

Well any rom from 2.3.4 supports gtalk video its just that the gtalk application we have doesn't..... i.e. the issue is with the gtalk application rather than the rom.
I can confirm that this rom is working well and the WLAN seems to be much better than in previous versions ... at least the signal strength display is now more realistic.
just to go offtopic with the gtalk issue..... I did try using a version of gtalk that supports video chat that had been modified for the i9000 and it did work at least a little ...... but unfortunately FC'd way too often to be useful.

I too have tested the gtalk fix from the i9000 files but fc's many times or some other bugs. I even tested the easiest way, this free apps from market which installs the same gtalk modified version, but none worked. Too bad I am planning to sell it if I don't find any solution.
any new features? does this include those chinese apps or bookmark in it like someone mention?
any Feedback so far ? i would flash this one.. i still ave 2.3.3 rooted
SO, in this FW is only chinese language ???

[Q] Which custom ROM is recommended for me?

Hi all,
I need help deciding which custom ROM to flash to my i9003, but i want one that has full Arabic support and a good camera firmware. If possible, please post images of ROMs you recommend, any help is appreciated
Good camera- gingerbread has dim video recording, so choose a froyo custom rom. Maybe cranium 3.1(I tink its froyo, not sure) and should have Arabic(again, I'm not sure). Check out the android dev section for that rom, and also I believe you can add Arabic patch to any cRom.

Well if you not interested in video record, I suggest for you Cyanogenmod 7 it is so smooth and stable with some issue that can be fixed soon, like video record, apps can't use mic.
this is my chose

@bscraze Thanks for your response. Ive been reading a little about Cranium 3.1, and i'm about to flash it but i had a question related to the instructions given by sakindia123:
he says clean flash to XXKPH, so can i flash to JPKP5 instead? it is exactly the same version of gb but just different region (language)
maybe anyone can answer my question without having to start a new thread over it
thanks..

I don't think so, there's no reason not flash to xxkph, unless you're sim locked. If you still want to try, go ahead, I'm not sure weather it will work. If it doesn't you can always reflash, as it will result in a soft brick at most
Sent from my GT-i9003 powered by MIUI
cranium is GB, not froyo. don't flash the rom without upgrading to GB first. (I see that was mentioned that you know it's GB, so just a warning...). in addition, if you haven't seen it yet and you want to use push mail notification, GB has a bug on all ROMs that keeps it from working properly. if you don't need it, then flash away!

Remember to do a full wipe before and after flashing(for safety) and you may want to flash a custom kernel after that, maybe xda bam or uc kernel, and remember to wipe cache and dalvik before and after flashing the kernel.
Remember that if you can't boot your phone but can access download mode, don't panic, just do a reflash. Eg. Reflash kpq.
PS. I recommend uc kernel v9 2009 or 1009 or 3009 if your phone can handle the overclock. Also, custom roms are definitely better than stock roms have fun flashing

[rom] acura team samba betta v2

"BETA PUBLICATION" Acura team Hilo informativo Rome "Samba" avances
"PUBLIC BETA" AcuraTeam Rom informative thread "Samba" advances
Hi buddies, we will create this thread to be reporting on our progress in creating the rom Samba.
BACKGROUND: Since the official version came out the ginger, all have been problems, the version of exit 21A, left with kernel 2.6.35.7 + roteable being this rom but llamadas.lags problems, mismanagement of ram, etc.. ...
Later versions 21B onwards seem to solve these problems somewhat, but not roteables, LG has decided cerrarlas.La biggest difference lies in the new kernel 2.6.35.7.
Any attempt to create a rom with the system of non roteables, gives results in a rom without network coverage, any attempt to create a kernel after the year released by LG 2.6.35.7 results in no coverage rom red.cualquier attempt make a rom with any other kernel results in a rom not recognized imei no network coverage, no wifi, no bluetoch without OC (created modules are for kernel 2.6.35.7 + ginger)
Well, the team decides to throw the last option, create a rom with the system of non roteables and create a kernel with the most compatible with them ..... I do not say this to work or what I brought to explain and it would take days ... but the result is the SAMBA rom created with the system of inroteable didiembre 20A of 22 Brazilian (from there the "Samba") and as of today everything works.

i just flashed this over acura v7.1 (just wiping dalvik cache) and i must say that this is much smoother. camcorder is still the same crap though LG really messed up on that department
I did wipes, fashed the rom after inital setup, reboot,
installed titanium backup didn't want to restore apps reboot
restore apps + data no problem
my internet connection seems faster 5768kbps down, 1716kbps up (vodafone )
antutu bench see attach
after restore apps did the third reboot
no lag very fast rom.
How about the Gingerbread Ghost call issue?
Any luck sorting that out in this ROM, or does it still exist?

Best GB ROM?

Hello friends!
Presently I am on Osmanfans 1.3 based on XXKB3 Froyo. As its a pretty long time since I updated, I am planning to update. As the phone will be used by my wife and she doesnt like to experiment a lot, please guide me as to which is the best ROM and kernal available as of now.
Please donot confuse me with multiple choices. I want to shift to a Gingerbread ROM which is complete in itself and doesnt lack features. I checked the features of MIUI and it looked nice but unfortunately it doesnt support Video recording and seems to have battery issues.
All said and done, give me one ROM that you guys think is the best...
Thank you.

I will suggest u 2 simple options
1. XXKPQ Its one of the most famous GB rom available which most of the people & most of the kernel developers use it as base rom. So I highly recommand u to use it.
2. DDKP3 Its Indian based rom which has most highest battery backup in GB rom. But as compared to xxkpq it has less mods avalable in forum.
U can use use xda bam kernel or doomlord kernel. Both are superb kernels.
Choice is urs...!!

dont misguide people plz.
If your wife has to use it then I suggest you stick to xxkb3 rom which has least bugs whereas all gb roms have bugs at my last count it was having 7 bugs. These bugs either have workaround or custom mods or use custom kernal which solves these bugs.
I am using stock kpq, rooted, de-odexed and removed all unnecessary apps. Added necessary mods.
Pretty happy with it.

As he mentioned he needs video recording, so any CM based ROMs are out of question.
u can use poseidon rom since it more stable than CM all issues encountered by the users and testers has been solved like wifi, gps, battery performance..etc
plz hit the thanks button if i helped you
yep, i agree buddy.
of all roms ive tried (not including cm's) poseidon's rom over xxkpq was smoothest and best, with bugs solved.. along with this installation was kernel: uc v9 1009 + custom theme (you may choose up to your own choice) + some mods/scripts. the above enumerated was the best ive used for so long before moving to miui v4 2.7.6 which is way too smooth (however, unapplicable to u since video recording deems to work in low res).
cheers.
I loved titanium rom the most!! finest rom ^_^ .. even supports Hindi and other languages .. and i found it to be best when it comes battery ..

Would you say miui and poseidon are better than remics?? I'm thinking of flashing miui. I'm looking mostly for smoothnes in scroll and opening apps.
For you I think the best options are titanium or stock. I love stock roms! But they are not smooth enough for me, if that's not a problem for you, you should use the stock rom because of the lack of bugs.

i think ill go for titanium again, just will ask anyone if that rom works with bam kernel, smooth fast best battery life. I love stock rom to but to much lags and not so smooth, titanium has just one little bug; when someone calls you u cant see who is calling for about 1 second thats enough for grabbing the phone from your pocket lol, u all got thanks for answers, thanks.
if u want to be in stock ROM better to try the new value pack which is DDLF2 it has been reviewed by others and they can say that it is battery efficient, smooth and stable...and if u found lags u can use bam kernel v.14 beta that fixes bugs.. dont forget the thanks button..hehe
u can read some reviews about the said fw here:

Try TheFrankenstein's Mod for DDLF2. Its smooth as hell . Literally as fast as CM7 . U could give it a try .

is there any bug ?
@ Angenit
im not saying that poseidon is better than remics buddy. i am saying that poseidon could be of good choice too. pls read op buddy, he asks for a bug free rom (specially with video recording) so i did not mention about remics, etc so as not to mislead him.
cheers,
edit:
sorry buddy, misunderstood ur post hehe..
poseidon paired with uc kernel v9 1009 was the longest streak i used (in terms of gingerbread base). apps smooth and snappy during opening. titanium had good reviews too buddy.
if u were referring of miui gingerbread, its not so stable and battery life is short. ryt now however, i am on miui v4 (ics based), which is far the snappiest ive tried in terms of scrolling and opening apps. battery life also is satisfactory with around 15-17 hrs moderate use per experience. miui v4's external card been changed to emmc =)
