[MOD] My First Custom Battery Icon

Hi everyone. Been wanting to do this for a while. I know its a simple MOD, but I thought I would give it a shot! Heres a preview:

Looks good. My only suggestion would be to maybe shrink it a few pixels, its kinda big compared to the other icons.
If you're looking for another notification project you should replicate the 6 bar battery icon that was real popular on the hero. It's very nice looking.
Great work though, if I didn't know better you could convince me its the stock icon

I was honestly thinking the same thing. I will give it a shot, and probably post a link for the smaller version. (incase someone wants that one ) Thanks again!

You should think about making this into a MetaMorph for those with already customized framework-res.apk.

Yeah thats how it is stock and I forgot that I changed that font to blue behind it and forgot to change it back sorry about that.
This was from me trying to figure out where the color for the numbers were.
I'll fix this in an update cause I see that its hard to see behind the green.

I fixed the dialer and changed it a little bit.
I made the letters all white and not gray.
I still haven't found that text for the download in the drop down though so if anyone knows where that is located please pm me.

I was afraid of that LOL when I decompiled that apk for some reason I can't get it to recompile even if I don't make any changes.
Do you have any idea why that would be?

Yes but I'll also post a update to the theme so that those who are on it wont have to download the whole thing again , also I just got that downloadprovider to decompile and recompile and I'm about to test that out.
I just installed a different version of apktool and it worked, I guess I was really tiered last night when I was doing it cause I usually try that first

I know what you mean...this was kinda bugging me too lately...lol

OK I'm just going to ask this here so that I don't have to pm everyone.
Is anyone having an issue with your incall picture being out of alignment using this theme ?
I only ask cause someone told me that theirs was and I can't figure out why.

I fixed goober's keyboard with my updated version and I'll be posting it to the op later.

Who is willing to work on a kernel?

Alright, I have used almost every Team Acid rom out there and I want to help raver out as much as I can with MIUI and potentially CM7/CM9 so I want to form a team of sorts (more so a coalition) to get working on a kernel while dhundven is busy with life and racer is working on fixing the MIUI bugs.
While I personally have no experience with devving of any kind I'm sure if a bunch of us put our heads together, we can get this done!

Before actual dev recruitment and working, I would ask myself what are we expecting this kernel to have, once we have our goals set we will be able to explore and gather some knowledge in the right direction.
Such goals should be :
1. Much stronger WiFi reception (I know it is possible).
2. Direct line call recording. (was available at Froyo, but blocked by Sami).
3. Kernel without the need of System mounting as RW (like SMS Kj6 Beta 3.1 is).
4. MIUI nightly builds compatible kernel (I have no idea how and what).
5. TV out support (MIUI ususally doesn't support this functionality).

Just a little hex editing and swapping out the logo image for CWM.

I think this device is lacking roms/kernels (not to sound ungrateful, the developers here do an excellent job). It would be great if we had more options. Kernels with better battery life, and fixing the soft key back light issue

A nice galaxy s2 or s3 style gb rom would be cool. Have features like all the lock screens, and power menus, and tweaks but without any rediculous theming you know? I love the stock look, whether its aosp or twiz. I'm still on gb since I can't deal with Ics battery drain and until the battery life improves I can live with GB.

For people complaining about battery life on ICS... I'm not quite understanding how after the tweaking period, you're getting particularly bad run times. I was getting 18+ hours on AOKP M6B3 with 2 hours of screen on time and 4G the whole time.

Hey guys, i just started making some random Cyanogenmod Hero or villain guys and though maybe you guys wanted some?! xD im not the best but i can do a little and if anyone wants one just request what guy name and the type of Cyanogenmod head you want and ill try getting t to u as soon as i can! Very nice bradman. If you need any help I'll be glad to help you out. Certified in 3 versions of Photoshop and have a year experience with Cinema 4D (3D rendering program). I could possibly get the hulk head rounded if you sent me the files. I mainly do signatures (i.e. the one I have now) but seeing as It's all made using the same tools it won't be any different.

Sounds good! And haha I usually use fireworks for finishing touches if required lol and sure thing. Just gotta know what colors he/she wants, any text, and any pictures and I'll see what I can throw together.

Thanks man and he requested it from you so go ahead and give it to him. You can either leave my name on it or not, I really don't care as it was favor for a great dev. You have more skills than I do seeing as developing takes more time an effort than Photoshop lol. Any and all thanks should go to for that reason :good:
