Hello guys,
I have a big problem!!!! I hope you can help me!!!
I flashed my HTC Desire S (model S510e) a few weeks ago... it works wirly good
then the new Htc Sense 3.0 withe Gingerbread 2.3.5 released.
I want to flash it but I need an S-ON Hboot so I take it to S-On again.
But the problem is that I have installed an Custem rom from VirtousUnity 2.39
and now the Hboot told me *** Security Warning*** **** what should I do now?
I have it downgraded from hboot 0.98.0002 to 0.98.0000 to get S-On again.
And then I would flash the new RUU from HTC.. Now I could only boot into the bootloader and
when I want to install the RUU with the HTC utillity it told me error 140...
It was an Htc Desire with T-Mobile branding From Germany I´ve debranded it and installed VirtousUnity
with 4EXT Recovery...

do I need an Goldcard now or may I unlock the bootloader again? to S-off
but I haven´t got a adb connection (my System Windows 7)
Need Support pls
I´ve tried to install the newest RUU with an extracted rom.zip and rename it into PG88IMG.zip
but it told me "main version older"
Hope you can help me ....

You badly needed a GoldCard. I would suggest to RUU first to the latest version, 2.xx then downgrade if need be. You have already downgraded your HBOOT. The only thing your missing is RUU. But RUU is giving you an error. Now you need a GoldCard.
A lot of guides, steps, and tutorials are found on the forum. No need to place it here.
Yes I know that I need an GoldCard and I also had the cid but it won´t work ... -.- thats the problem

There are a lot of threads on how to make a GoldCard even without a phone. Check also my sig as thats the method I use. Use search for others.
No GoldCard = phone un-usable.
See index for gold card thread, see sig for link
Swyped from my Desire S using XDA Premium
Non of the suggested methods will get the CID, cause they rely on the phone being booted or adb, since the phone is booting into fastboot and no custom recovery means no adb.
same problem here ...
Right guys i know im new here but have a big problem. Now i got my UK Virgin Desire S and decided to root to flash custom roms.
Stated before with :
Saga PVT Ship S-ON RL
Hboot 0.98.0002
Radio 3805.06.02.03_m
Emmc-Boot
March 30th 2011
So i used revolution to root and turn S off. I did a backup once installed.
I then flashed the ICS custom rom v4 off here and it was too buggy so decided on a standard rom (the latest i could find : RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.8_Radio_20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04_M_release_225161_signed) so thopught i could flash it straight away, so i did.
It didnt finish but flashed radio and the latest Hboot so now i am on :
Saga PVT Ship S-ON RL
Hboot 2.00.0002
Radio 3822.10.08.04_m
eMMC-Boot
Aug 22 2011
So after the flash i was left with this and no rom but still had the clockwork recovery to flash custom roms but they wouldnt load due to the S-ON.
Now i have tried to flash the original restore from the backup i did but it keeps saying md5 checksum wrong, i have even flashed standard recovery rom using fastboot and tried to flash different RUU's (have downloaded and tried 6 now with failures on all of them with error 155)
Now im sure it must be something to do with the Security being on but i cant understand why it wont flash the backup i made that was off my phone in the first place. I have looked for a UK Virgin RUU with no avail so have been trying all the Europe ones.
Now i have noticed when trying to update the rom it is saying update from image : 1.47.351.2 if that helps.
Would really appreciate some help here guys and im sorry for being a noob.
Regards

With HBOOT 2.00.0002 you have to go to HTCDEV.com and follow the procedure to unlock your bootloader. Then I would suggest looking at The post on how to downgrade from HBOOT 2.00.0002.
HI, so i recently bricked my sensation xe (screen stuck at splash screen) and i took it back to the shop where i bought it from and he fixed it. Now it has Android 2.3.5 and Sense 3.5 rooted but S-ON, but before it had Android 2.3.4 and Sense 3.0 Not rooted and S-on.... Now, when i boot into the phone, it doesn't show the beats logo, in phone identity, it says that i have HTC Sensation! and it says the CPU is 1.2GHZ while it should be 1.5!! The guy in the shop also told me that if i update to ICS, the phone will be bricked again. Also, whenever i go into the market, the phone reboots... Why is this!??? and will anything happen to my phone if i use REVOLUTIONARY to S-OFF?? Please help me!!!

It also has Clockwork mod recovery installed on it..
Thanks and Sorry for long question
As you're bootloader has been unlocked via HTC you can flash CWM using fastboot to flash a new ROM
I have lately decide to root my htc sensation Z710a and install Android revolution HD XE at first it seems to install fine asking me about the options i want and then when i decide to reboot it gets stuck at the beats audio logo. I have forgot to make a back up ( its stupid i know) so all i can do is go into the bootloader.
Here is what it says in at the top of the bootloader

The CID is 11111111
4EXT is the recovery being used
So at the end is there anything i can do??

of course you'll get bootloop...also you phone is never bricked until you have bootloader
the reason is you have an old firmware...update it to ICS firmware (if you flashed ARHD 6.x series)
here is the firmware thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412618
get 3.32 firmware from the thread...and follow steps 4 and 5 from this thread to update the firmware
then reboot and you are good to go
one suggestion : READ READ READ until you understand completely
Thanks
Thank you so much i thought i had stuffed up my phone!
hi all, im in need of assistance
a good while ago, before the new 4.0 update, i rooted my htc sensation (on an Australian carrier)
everything was fine until i tried to apply the new update. as it seems for many, the update did not install and came up with a blue android symbol with an exclamation mark. without backing up or checking the requirements for a custom ROM, i went ahead and applied it straight away. unfortunately, i had the wrong hboot update and radio. now i need a stock rom to flash that will work with my situation.

revolutionary CWM v4.0.1.4 is currently working, so i can still flash roms.
please reply when possible, thank you!
