A budy showed me a neat iphone app that lets your front facing camera take a secret pic when someone incorrectly enters your lock password. Does anyone know a good android one?
I tried searching the play store but some security apps sound sketchy.

Haven't seen anything similar for Android devices.
My friend showed me the app on his iPhone too.The app is locked and you can open it by the pattern you set,like the lockscreen pattern on Android.And if you fail it takes the picture from front camera.And you don´t have to have jailbreak because he don´t have it.
yeah that was the app. i was wondering if android had anything similar.
An Android version of this is called "Gotya". I use this on my NS4g. It takes a picture and emails it to you. It does the usual stuff, locates, locks, etc. Gotta it from the market.

I want to be able to password protect my Gallery and Messages for when friends ask to use my (AWESOME) new phone. Is there something like Lockdown 3.0 from Cydia on a Jailbroken iDevice where you need to insert a few numbers to open them?
I think there is...my cousin had such a thing on his G1 (my old G1) but I dont know what its called.
try app protector pro...it has 5 stars costs 1.99 USD...havent tried it yet nor do I know if it works with Froyo.

app lock so far is the best, app protector is slightly less functional (passcode seems to unlock all apps whereas app lock pass is needed for each app) plus app lock LOOKS a lot better....good app.

I have a friend with an iPhone, and she always says to me "can you send a drop pin to me?" if she wants to me me someplace and I don't know how to describe where I am if it is not in some location with am address proper.
I went through the market and found different apps that could help me do this but wasn't sure how this would translate to the iPhone. God forbid I say "the Android can't do this", since I extol the benefits of Android over iPhone all the time, so I would like to send her something that works. Until now, I have artfully avoided her requests, but figured I just needed to find the app or the right way to do this.
Anyone have an idea which app can create a drop pin on Google Maps and then text this "pin" to another?

I know about what'sapp and glympse and use latitude. But I am not sure latitude works on iOS.
Apparently, all the iPhone kids use Google maps (I think), and when one wants to send another a location, they send a pin drop (like when you look on Google maps and you see all of the markers (which I think used to be pins back before Google places/local, but am not sure).
This girl keeps saying this is a Google thing and how can my Android not possibly do this. I have not actually watched her do it yet... But I was basically wondering if there were any former iPhone users here or had heard about this, and knew away to send a map marker (or pin!) to an iPhone...this sounds like it is a native iPhone app, so I would like to figure out what she means and accommodate.
And if there is no equivalent for Android, it sound like a good idea for an app (with those Android users who have a lot of iPhone friends).

When you open Google maps there is a little blue arrow that marks your location. If you click on it and get more info it will bring you to a page where u can click "share my location" tap that and then choose messaging

Send her your location using WhatsApp and she can just open it using her own map app on the iPhone. I use it all the time to my iPhone friends

I am looking for a cheap, preferably free, app to spy on my wife. I saw her doing something the other day and want to know what she was looking at while she was doing it. At this point I would be happy with a remote screen shot that emails a coupel times a day or something like that. I know she uses go sms for texting and that she uses facebook chat, saw her sliding something around on the phone and she said it was the new facebook chat. I don't use facebook because of somethings that have happened in the past. I canhave no idea what else she uses it's "none of my business" what she does on her phone. The ap must be hidden, the way I will be able to install it is her phone is rooted and keeps promting for an update, so I can install something while I'm doing the update, but nothing very extensive at all to set it up. I want screen shots becuse I don't know if she is video chating, or looking at stuff on the internet or what, so the safest way the find out is screenshots, like every minute or five. Key logger might come in handy too. I appretiate any help you give.

Things I would like to see are:
Official Social Media Apps - Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter integration etc.
S Voice Improvement - Feel like it lacks a whopping amount, I literally feel like the only thing I can ask it to do is Call / Message someone or Open an app or request the weather (Which is on my homescreen anyway). Things that surprised me is that it can't play a song on the device on request, or open an application on the phone on request etc. I feel like it should run its responses through the official S Voice app on the phone if the request isn't a direct Gear command.
Lock security on wrist - Phone lock security on the wrist, I understand there is already the "Autolock" but some nice security features would possibly be a pin unlock that shows up on watch (or on phone if not connected) or a pattern unlock, gives more security options. Or even when clicking the option in notifications to "Open on phone" that it bypasses the lockscreen.
Remote Phone Viewer - Somewhat like teamviewer but where you can actually view your phones screen, scroll around and interact from your wrist, might be slow and tedious but would be a fun feature and extend its capabilities into the phone itself.
Unified Remote application for PC control - I always find Unified remote a good application for remote access to PC's it would be nice to see them develop an application for the wrist!
Android Wear Application integration, allowing tizen to run android wear apps, I feel if Samsung don't allow this, or don't speed up the process of passing applications their smart watches will be outran by watches such as the Moto 360.

I want Google now and a MUCH better texting program. I want to be able to receive the test and reply to it in one step.

Yes, but you need to exit whichever notification you are in and go into Flesky. IMO, Flesky is slow, even with the latest update. Takes a few seconds to open and doesn't automatically refresh your feed. Very annoying that something better hasn't come out from Tizen yet. :crying:

Theres an app called Gearam Music ID which works like shazam ive tested it and its pretty good!

Oh I definitely agree with that, what annoys me about default notification app is that it takes up a huge bit of scroll space repeatedly telling you that the button below opens on the phone even though the button itself says that. Should use that space to have an "Open in watch messenger" to reply!
General keyboard
More and more apps let you type in stuff. But every app has his own made keyboard.
So a keyboard implementation general for all apps!!
Then developers can make the perfect keyboard which you can choose.

Definitely agree, I don't mind typing on my watch it is manageable!
and we all know we're going to be doing it discreetly (while at work) so I could just carry a thin stylus if I ever needed to, might take something finding one, I was quite disappointed that non of the s pens worked.

I actually asked the developers of Unified Remote about making a Tizen port of their app - or at least something that could work in conjunction with the phone app. They said they'd look into it, but I'm not holding my breath.
We'll have more luck if the Color Tiger developers who make Smart IR lite come through with their new device that is being crowdfunded as we speak - as they said that device will be able to get commands from the watch somehow.

Hopefully they do develop a watch app it would be great and promote their app much more. I would even pay for it!
At the moment im using Wearable Widgets with a 4x4 simple unified remote widget but as I don't like wearable widgets limited options on clock faces and lack of time updates I have to flick between clock faces which is impractical!
Just thought of a new one, develop sleep application to toggle your phone into a sleepmode turn sync off etc location dim screen. Then once you wake up and toggle sleep off it turns them all on!
I am trying to figure out if my boyfriend is tunneling his messages or Facebook chat somehow... I'm not very techsavy. Does this kind of thing actually exist for a regular lg phone? Okay so It looks like whenever he unlocks his phone he will sometimes use two different codes like he has one phone two users. One he shows me without all his real incoming messages. And then his storage is always full on his phone but he hardly has any music or pics. He has some casino apps. One I found in his list said in the default app casino.imitation.app is that a vault app or what?
Yes it is possible. I don't know how lg has it implemented or what phone he is using, but there are multiple users in android that you can switch. If lg doesn't have that feature it could be done with a system modification. Since this a real life trust problem I suggest that you talk to somebody that can help, somebody like a psychologist.
