[Q] Wallpaper Dimensions?

What Dimensions do we use to where they don't stretch out?

If you select an image, it will just crop it so everything is still in proportion.

qHD 540 x 960 resolution

1080x960 if you use a launcher where the wallpaper scrolls.

Whoever has posted a screenshot of their phone usually has the resolution at 544 x 960. Weird.

I looked at the info behind my screenshots to double check and they do say 540x960.

Does the file type have to be jpg? I've tried tif and jp2, but even though it says the wallpaper is installed it doesn't change.

The thing is i use multipicture live to show the entire picture in its full glory so it's non scrollable, i use different pictures for each page.
I tried a 1920x1200 resolution picture and it doesn't seem that the picture is stretched or squashed

2560x1600. Reason is that i want it to look sharper. 1920x1200 will do just fine.

For 800x480 screen you need to make 960x800 resolution wallpaper as it is scrolled over multiple screens.

Hey guys, I was wondering. Where can I find some nice wallpapers? Every wallpaper app I find has low resolution so it looks crappy. Just want to know where I can find some nice qHD resolution ones.

Hi,
I use ( zedge ) which is free on the market. Everything i have had from there has looked good on my screen. You could try a search on there for qhhd and see what comes up.

There's a great guide on how to search for wallpapers that you see in screenshots around the forums with Google goggles app.

Oh by the way, if you set a wallpaper and it looks funny and low res, check out Wallpaper Set and Save from the market. It applies the wallpaper at a higher resolution than the normal gallery does.

Dude high resolution wallpaper doesnt mean that it will not work on our fit.
240x320 is only the size of our screen not resolution

When I put on my cell phone wallpapers high resolution, does not see the whole wallpaper, than just a part of it.

Yes because size of image is bigger than screen.it will be very diffult to get wallpaper exactly on the of our screen and even if we get it the wallpaper will be strechted

Yes in cyanogen roms u cannot apply the wall coz it wont give the option to select the image in portrait mode while applying.. It only gives landscape mode.. So if u want the full wal on ur screen just change the rom

Ucan use the app IMAGE TO WALLPAPER to use higher resolution images as wallpaper to ur phone

is there any app to crop a part of image and apply it as potrait/landscape wallpaper?
its by default a feature in stock but it deosnt work in cyanogen! its really annoying at times...
