[Q] Transformer Stuck in Recovery - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Alright guys I need help.
As always, a little background here first. So I've been running Android Revolution HD 3.1.0 without problem for quite some time now, but today I wanted to try flashing a couple ROMs. So I installed ROM manager, flashed CWM (I was using Roach's recovery before, but decided to switch for whatever reason), and did the usual. I wiped data, flashed CM9 & gapps, didn't really like it more so then I wiped data again, flashed AOKP 1.7 & gapps, and then everything fell apart.
Once it installed (without error I might add) I hit reboot device now and it went straight back into recovery after showing the ASUS splash screen. So I wiped data, flashed ARHD3.1.0, and the same thing happened.
Now, no matter what I do, I can't get my Transformer to boot into anything but CWM. What do I do???
EDIT: Fixed. I found the thread about the recovery that was giving people issues. Thank goodness for XDA!

Same here. Idk what is the problem and it is frustrating.

This thread saved me. Hopefully it'll do the same for you.

This was a lifesaver for me too.

[SOLVED] Can't flash any .zips on Eclipse

edit: Solved, just flash one .zip at a time. So flash AOSP lockscreen.zip then reboot, go back into CWM and flash the next one. Thanks anoninja118!
Hoping someone can help, I flashed the Sens3 theme on Eclipse(I know it's for GC, I didn't care lol) and it was pretty buggy so I immediately rebooted into CWM and flashed eclipse131/aosp/screencapture/Vrecorderfix and rebooted. When it finally booted up I noticed the lockscreen was still the puzzle, I thought that was weird so I tried taking a screenshot(back+home) and it wouldn't work. I rebooted and reflashed the .zips(excluding eclipse131 this time) then rebooted and again, none of them were active. So I went back into recovery and reflashed Eclipse131 then let it fully reboot so it could convert and ****, then I went back into recovery again and tried flashing the .zips, still nothing. Last thing I tried was clearing cache/dalvik and reflashing but alas, to no prevail.
Any help would be appreciated, I have everything backed up in Titanium so it's no big deal to lose my apps but I don't want to redo my 7 home screens lol.

when I ran eclipse for a while I had kinda the same problem... I found out to get them to work each zip needs its own flash session in CWM i.e. flash AOSP lockscreen or whatever then boot up phone, boot into CWM and flash next .zip and repeat

Appreciate the fast response, testing it out right now. Doubt it will work since the first time I flashed Eclipse I did all the flashes in one go but let's see :]
edit:...it worked... fine, you win. I'll hand out thanks where they're necessary... thanks! really appreciate it lol.

thunderbolt stuck in boot loop

hey all, was hoping someone would be able to help me out, since im still pretty new at all this.
i've had my phone for about 2 months, been rooted since the first week, and have flashed roms before with no problem, this is the first time something like this has happened.
im currently running eternity r186, have been for awhile.
ok, so heres what i did: i downloaded liquid-nonsense 3.2 rom from over at rootzwiki and copied the zip to my SD (this is the rom i was planning to flash)
i made a nandroid of my current rom
i booted into recovery using rom manager (reboot into recovery)
i wiped data and cache, everything went as normal
i went to wipe davlik, hit yes for wipe, and the screen went black and vibrated. then it rebooted to the white htc screen. now it's stuck between the white htc screen that says "quietly brilliant" and the beats audio screen (if you've booted up eternity before you know what i mean)
ive tried holding down power and the vol keys to reboot into recovery but it just takes me back to the bootloop
ive tried a battery pull
i really have no idea wtf to do, please help?
thanks
edit: i figured it out i think. i got into hboot after a battery pull and got into recovery that way, restoring nandroid now. hopefully it restores
but...that was kinda scary for a new flasher such as myself! anyone have any idea why it did that?
Good to hear you got it figured out. Liquid 3.2 is my Fav AOSP.
Since the forums move slower at night next time you have a big problem try and hop on to one of the IRC chats.
No idea why it would do that. Do you have the most recent CWR? If not try and update it. If you do then try and roll back a version unless the rom you're flashing needs the most current version.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
thanks for the reply.
im running the latest version of CWR
after i restored my nandroid I wiped everything as normal and flashes the rom.
i gotta say, i'm really digging this ROM. Barring any major bugs I could see this becoming my daily!

[Q] Need Help!...Hope this isn't a brick...

I finally got the tf700t rooted/unlocked and thought everything was working well. I downloaded a ROM from GooManager and started to see what difference it would make on the tablet. For a few hours it seemed to be working fine. Then I noticed the screen was black and would not come back on. I then did a cold boot and that's when the tablet started power cycling. Please tell me this can be fixed. When I tried to restore the TWRP backup file it said "Restore Failed", and went back to power cycling/resetting. Have I bricked it?

It is more likely that you have a bootloop.. As long as your bootloader is working, you can do a lot of things that can bring your tablet back..
Also sounds like /data is corrupted.
Choose the wipe button in twrp and then format data.
Be warned you will lose everything on the tab but it will get you booting again.
Which kernel combination did you flash on CROMi-X 5?

I didn't use CROMi-X. I downloaded a ROM from GooManager. How can I get CROMi-X and should I no longer use GooManager? I took your advice however and everything worked out well- thanks for that. I was still rooted and unlocked but I'd like to know exactly what I need to do in order to enjoy the tablet without 'messing' it up again.

Just follow the instructions in the CROMi-X first post
I don't know how other ROMs set themselves up.

[Q] Need Help!

Hi, I just tried flashing cyanogenmod on my us cellular galaxy s3, and I ran into a problem. I followed a great youtube tutorial on how to flash cyanogen, and everything went fine. the tutorial used goomanager, and was done only using the phone, no computer. I flashed the rom after backing everything up through titanium, and everything appeared to be working like it should. After the flash was complete, the cyanogen animation popped up on my screen, but as soon as it finished loading, two messages popped up: setup wizard has stopped and goo.apps has stopped. I would hit okay, but the two messages just kept popping up. I restored my stock rom, but id still like to flash cyanogen and I need to know what I need to do to prevent this from happening again and how to restart the flash process. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

before you flashed the rom did you wipe data and cache? you might also be on the nightly version, try looking for the stable version, and if its on 10.1 its on 10.1, theres nothing you can do but wait for it to become stable if it isent already.

Everything was wiped. what I think happened was when I backed everything up, I didn't set titanium to not restore my app data, causing a bootloop. I could be very wrong about that though. What I need to know is how to reflash it, as I have already tried to but when I do it brings up system recovery instead of reflashing. Is it because I already tried flashing it once? and if that's the case how do I start from scratch? Oh, and I did flash the stable version. it was 10.1.2

might want to try flashing a stock rom via odin cause it sounds like you have stock recovery now, i dont know if anyone will pick you up in the q&a section, since yours is us cellular i dont think they have a forum for that specific contractor just only t-mobile at&t and verizon would have one. you can ask them in their q&a but tell them your situation and that your on us cellular. good luck mate. if ya have any questions just ask right here.

Random lockups, new roms failed to install

Hello.
I've been experimenting with my TF700t now.
Tried to install CM11, and it got random reboots all the time. I needed Clockwork so i recovery (had twrp before). I finally managed to get past the setup (basically skip and next on all settings) but it was "ready" it still freezes and random reboots.
I'm not really sure what boot loader i have.
Maybe the one i have is to old?
I had CleanRom before i started playing around with it.
If i cant fix it the trash bin is very close, but if i can get it to work again it would be nice.
It haven't been much used since i got my Note3 phone.
Any suggestion for what i should try? Im open for everything.

Yes, that can be the reason.

LOL
Yes, that and wrong recovery, no or insufficient wipes before flashing the new rom - lots of possibilities.
Before you fire into the trash send it to me! I could use a tablet to recklessly experiment on

No trash! The TF700 is an awesome tablet.
I would start over. Go to the Zombi-X thread and install that rom, *after* making sure you've got the boot loader mentioned in the first posting in that thread. Then, install TWRP (the latest version rather than the 2.6 one mentoined in the thread -- I think it is up to 2.8.01 or so). Then install Zombi-X. If you have an external micro-sd card, go for the ROM2SD install as well. If not, no worries. You'll be so glad you did. But again, the Zombi-X thread will step you through the entire process. They've done a fantastic job. And your tablet will impress.
I haven't had time to look at it yet! So many other gadgets to use.
Will find time sometime this xmas.
If you were on CleanROM, you're bootloader is probably way too old.
Also you HAVE to do a clean install = wipe of cache, Dalvik and data before installing a new rom.
