On you're sd card you will see a folder called data open that then you will see another folder named com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker open that then you will see another folder named themes drop it right in there thats it.
^^Thanks^^
Alright, got it done. It's okay, not the best lockscreen ever but good enough.
Just in case someone is wondering. I spoke to the dev of ROU UI and he said development has been paused, I dont think will see it in the near future

Yeah, but lockbot is only for the lock screen, none of the features the actual lockscreens have is on it. Would live to see a port of the lockscreen though

I was hoping to get some help on this. I use the security pattern unlock feature on my phone and hate to see the black background covering my live wallpaper.
I searched a bit but could not find anything that related to the background, only the color of the buttons.
can you guys help me out here?

Its got to be an XML in layout of the frameworks.apk
im right with you man. i even pm'd a few theme creators who make them on other devices but have the clear background. one response was that it was default for his device to use whatever background you currently have.
im on an eris with the same problem ha

Can I just remove the file if I find it and use SDK to push it back? or do I need to use Metamorph? havent really done this before

Just to let you know, its clear by default in an AOSP ROM. So, you might want to take a look at com.htc.resources first..

The GSM Hero guys have it working, figured it's probably a fairly easy port for someone.
Original thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=676259
The working(for them) update.zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6806909&postcount=25
Example video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vfXrqa0UwY @ 1:01
The Desire Lockscreen when swiped down slides only the bar, not the entire wallpaper+bar which results in a much nicer looking unlock.
Anyway we could get this ported over? I'm running Fresh 2.3.3.
EDIT: I tried pushing it via ADB. It works, technically. Only the bar slides down. However the graphics are all buggy But it is much smoother!
probably cause its a higher res app. Needs to be reduced to what the lockscreen app in our roms are at. Meaning resize the pngs in the app to match the size of our lower Res lockscreen app
whats so special bout the lockscreen?

No i was with him. I watched the video and didn't see anything special. For the time it took you to type this you could have simply told him what the difference was.
The difference is...in the desire it pulls just the lock bar down. Not the picture as well.
I would be interested in this.

At any rate, I was simply pointing out that the features had been listed in text, and that if someone watches the video and doesn't understand maybe it's time for said person to read the description.
Thanks.

Wow this thread got real crazy real fast Anyways imo I think that since it's just the htc lockscreen in the update zip than i'm gonna guess that is whats going to need to be changed. I adb pushed it and although it is really crazy I still like it.
decompiled the apk with apk manager
Looking for something like This?

See Here for download.
I would like to know if anyone knows how to make the lockscreen transparent, so you can see all of the widgets update in the background without actually unlocking the phone.
I have tried different applications, and I don't like any of them. I had this mod on my Hero and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.
If it is just a couple of files needed to swap out, please share!
Thanks.

Dude I have looked into this for so long it is to the point where it pisses me off. Lol. I emailed a dev about it, I've looked and looked and looked, still no progress. It isn't like the sense ROM's, where you can just swap out the apk, you need to change XML files and some other stuff.
Yea ive looked into it for a while too.... i saw a thread a while back and it looks like JS did it for another device... might wanna PM him.

That's an interesting question. I never really thought of the lock screen as a layer sitting on top of my desktop. I just use Widgetlocker and configure it with the widgets I want to show up on my lock screen. Works great and the custom sliders are a nice bonus.

I've been learning to use APK Multi-Tool and have made some interesting mods. (great fun!) most recently I've been attempting to change the sent 2.1 clock in one of the shins to look like the 4.0 clock. I have found the PNG Image and resized it but when I flash it looks slightly weird but mostly unchanged. Is there another edit I need to find inside the skin apk or do I need to edit rosie?
Have you checked in the clockwidget.apk? I've never done a Sense 2.1 clock so its a guess. Sense 3 is in fusion though

Thanks. I'll check that out. I changed the numbers "ok" I just can't change the base
Edit: Strapped, where were the mods you made to the apk you gave me for the Energy ROM? I guess I should decompile it and look myself. I guess I'm getting lazy.

Those was edits done to a Sense 3.0 default shared.m10 file compiled into the skin for Sense 3.5, but I think Sense 2.1 is different. Its always worth a shot to decompile a skin though

Edit: There seems to be a problem with the weather forcast on the widget. It says no weather available. The gps is updating my location, just no weather. I'll decompile it and see if theres anything obvious. What do you think I should look for?

Does anyone know where the android bootanimation that plays when there is no other animation is? Just to clarify, if you remove the custom bootanimation zip from a ROM the word "android" comes up and shines. Thats what I'm looking for.

Sorry idk, I've always wondered that myself, it must be buried deep somewhere because I've never come across it.
I have been given a Droid X2 from a friend of mine and I've learned a little from exploring it that its probable in a framework apk or something. I bet one of the "new" guys knows. I've been unable to find the bootanimation for newSENSE too.
