What does 4.0.4 going AOSP mean for us?
Not much without an ril

I am trying to find best stock rom with gingerbread for the infuse. My wife is not into custom roms the way I am, however I would like to be able to upgrade her. What options do I have? I saw the "one stop shop" thread but didn't know what was the most stock option. I do want to root and install cwm though.

The best "stock" would probably be infused

Infused isn't stock. It's a great ROM, but it's running on half-baked Rogers Gingerbread. That's not stock.

That sounds pretty good. I'm running custom roms and Entropy's kernel on my Galaxy S II so I know its good stuff. Anyone know if the performance is better than stock with this setup?

By that logic there would be no stock GB's, they're all based on rogers leaks

No they're not... We have plenty of Infuse leaks that have been being cranked out for months now.

I don't think that would help with the ril.

It's interesting, but no. All this is is a source compiler that puts everything into a flashable zip. You would still need a working source to be able to run this.

That sucks I wonder idmf some of the epic development guys could help us with anything moving this forward for the fact that we have official gingerbread now??

So now that sami mobile has released a beta of ics for the I9100, will that make it easier to get a custom kernel for our ICS usage?

The only stable ics ROM I've used is paranoid but I hate having no hardware acceleration. Can the developers make more cm7 roms or update the few bugs it has. Thanks
P. S I'm just saying who I'm I to tell you what to do I'm just a rom crackhead :sly::what::screwy:

Cm7 isn't ICS. If you want a good Ginger Bread experience, try HellFire Phoenix

Totally agree with Rtotheichie hfp is a great rom and is still receiving updates

WHAT are you talking about? Regular updates? The last update for HFP is 5/13.
Yeah, pretty much most devs have moved on to ICS. You're not going to find a whole lot of updates to GB ROMs anymore. I've seen a few new ports pop up in the dev, but that's about it

Regular as in they are still happening. If you check the thread hell posted that he had a new update coming soon
