Battery Indicator mod - T-Mobile LG G2x

I just set my phone back to Gingerbread stock and rooted it. I hate the fact that it doesn't show battery percentage. I don't want to put a Rom on my phone so is there any battery indicator mods that will change this on our phone?

search the theme and apps sections, and search the market for theme chooser themes.
one of those should be able to change that on stock ROM.

Theme chooser is only for cm7 based ROMs.
You'll have to find a flashable theme to change that... or use uot kitchen. It's very simple to use.

I have used Rom Toolbox, under Interface/Icon Changer.

UOT kitchen ftw, nothing like theming the rom your own way.

[THEME] MIUI theme + new blue theme

This a miui theme I compiled using rodriguez's rom framework. I had a lot of problems with the smooth green theme from xvenom89 over at the droid incredible forum and decided to port of parts of his theme + parts of rod's theme (such as a sweet lockscreen) + icons that I'd used in previous roms such as a different status bar icons like 3g, wifi etc... It is basically a green theme with a bit of color here and there. It should work on any miui rom, since I've only changed the framework, it should definitely work on a nexus and even a desire miui rom, since their frameworks are identical, it also has rounded buttons from the smooth green theme
Remember nandroid....these are all flashable zip files, which can be flashed from recovery, I've also included the original framework of rodriguez's rom which has the custom lockscreen and is identical to the stock miui rom except for the lockscreen, in case you wanna go back to the stock look and feel.
All I've done is copy and paste icons, the real credit should go to the devs such as rodriguez, xvenom89, djmcnz and ofcourse the miui team.

made a new blue theme for all those people who like blue, changed the emoticons to the android stock emoticons, since they look better, I like to thank fllash over at the desire themes and app and riptide over at the evo 4g development and xvenom89 for the icons, also I did some of my own customization to put it all together, most of the stuff are themed. Again if you want to go back to stock just flash the original stock theme. Can't put any screenshots up right now. Nearly everything is themed blue, changed the status bar icons.

first! lol nice theme flashing now. i knew it was a matter of time before someone made a theme for the miui roms
I'm getting a verification failure. Says its missing the Gallery3D.apk.
which recovery are you using...
looks good!..will this work with stock deodexed MIUI??

I'm using Amon's 1.7.0.1
I though so, with amon ra 1.70, the zip file has to be signed, this zip file isn't signed, I'd recommend installing clockwork mod recovery using rom manager in the market, to just flash this file and then there is an option in rom manager where you can revert back to amon ra.

Looks awesome! I'm on Amon RA too so I'll probably try this later on. Could we revert back to the original theme after flashing to this?
Just flashed this over Rod's ROM... VERY NICE! Really wasn't a big fan of the original (MIUI) colors at all. Rod has done a good job changing most but this really brings it all together! Thanx for the work, looks awesome

Yes, I've included the original theme aswell, that is the 2nd link posted, only thin that is different is the lockscreen, because I thought that that rod's lockscreen looks cooler overall.
@zoman thanks, will probably work on some of the colours, such as the bookmarks tab in browser needs to be reverted. I was a big fan of the minimalistic theme and this comprehends that theme pretty well.
hello Cpt. curry
i have request for you.
could you make a set of smiley icon for messaging in miui rom?
i just miss the smiley from the stock
Looks great. It really helps makes it come together. Hope this is maintained going forward
I've worked on it a bit and changed a bunch of things. I might be also realeasing a rom soon with the camera and the contacts application themed. Since I hate that ugly camera texture. It looks bad.
I just realized that I accidentally took a screenshot. Its stored on MIUI Screenshots on the SDCard. Does anyone know what tje shortcut is?

menu + volume down gives you the screen shot.
new theme posted up, its blue and its snazzy.
Edit: I changed the emoticons in the new blue theme to android stock however it wont work in the miui messaging app because the miui messaging app has its own emoticons which can't be changed because they're part of the apk.
so do these themes change the stock wood folders as well?
nah they dont the stock wood folders are to do with the miui launcher itself. I can change them but then I would have to make a rom itslf. You'd rather just flash the themed roms like rodriguez rom.
Cpt.Curry, I don't recall you asking for permission to make a port using either of my MIUI themes. I started both threads with "Please do not repost (or port & upload) my work without permission; do not claim any of my work as your own; I've put a lot of time into making this what it is today. Before doing anything questionable, ask yourself how you would feel if someone took credit for your work. Thanks for understanding." Did you read that? You did give credit for the work appropriately, but what concerns me is that you didn't honor my one request.
Anyways, If you guys like what you see here, check out my original Smooth Green thread- I've made quite a few changes from what Cpt.Curry is using in this theme and continue to work on it every 1-3 days. I've worked out all (as it seems) bugs and continue to theme the system apps. As always, check out the original thread for updates and to report any bugs you may find. Yes, it works on Nexus, too.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793358
In addition to that, check out my Smooth Blue theme- again, where Cpt.Curry got most images from. I haven't posted an update in a few days, but the next one is ~70% complete and should be up within a few days. It, too, will contain all the latest fixes and is an improvement on the last. Check out its thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8404782
Overall, these are pretty much older releases of my themes with some extra [not necessarily appealing] color from different works.
Cheers.

Installing theme over a rom

Im new to this whole rooting rom thing. I just put gummycharged 1.8.5 on along with pbj oc and was wondering if I can install http://www.appbrain.com/app/minimalist-metal-adw-theme/com.david1171.minimalistmetal aswell. I tried and I cannot get it to work from the android market.
Thanks
It sounds like you don't have ADW launcher installed. Go to the Market and search "adw launcher" and download the free version. If you want to apply that theme you'll have to go to the ADW Launcher options and apply it through there.
Yup just install ADW Launcher and then apply. You'll be golden. I'm currently running the Honeycomb theme on ADW
Just be carefull applying system wide themes, unless they were made specifically for the rom your using, otherwise essentially you are changing the rom. For example, say the dev of yiur rom made some tweaks in the framework-res.apk to increase battery life, then you install a theme you found somewhere over the top, now you have lost the tweaks because you just overwrote the framework-res.apk with another one.
As said above though, you can apply any launcher themes without worrying about messing up your rom. hope this gives u a little insight.

Root and flash cm7. Then you can use the theme engine all you want.

Maybe this is not the place to ask, but to avoid opening a new thread, here it goes.
I flashed cm7.1 in my Ace, but by mistake I uninstaled the theme manager. Since I didn't used any theme's, I didn't reflash the ROM in the moment. Now I am not willing to re-flash it and then reorganize the whole phone again, apps, data and what not...
Is there a way to install just the theme manager?
As far as I know you can flash the same rom without wiping, I've had to do it before after accidentally deleting systemui

Are you rooted? If so, there are many custom roms that are cm7 based that come with the t mobile theme chooser. Sense roms have their own skin changer app. This is a hero thread as well, but I'm sure this holds true with all of their cm7 roms.

Rom Toolbox and Themes

So I just started using Rom Toolbox last night (thanks seeker9 for the recommendation). I've changed system font, battery status icon in the status bar, changed my boot animation and experimented with underclocking the processor. I notice there's a theme manager. Has anybody safely used the theme manager with SuperCharged V5 or any other ROM with the Atrix 2?
I have and it bricked my phone dont use please

What specific part bricked your phone? The theme manager? ROM manager? I've only used the features I mentioned, "system font, battery status icon in the status bar, changed my boot animation and experimented with underclocking the processor". I manage ROMs with Atrix 2 Bootstraper.
BTW there are two theme managers. One called Theme Manager and one called Theme Chooser Themes. Since we don't run CM7 (or 9) yet its obvious we can't use Theme Chooser. I'm wondering about the Theme Manager though. Nothing there looks extremely compelling to me. Just curious. Not curious enough to brick my phone though. I might try Notification Backgrounds first. Anybody here try that?
I'd like to try the dialer themes too. Anybody try that with SupsrCharged ROM?
Sent from my rooted Atrix 2 SuperCharged V5
I've been using it for months and never bricked my phone once using it but changing the themes is the only thing i don't use because we don't have access to any ROMS yet

yep im using it also and you can use theme Changer without any Problems but make a Backup of your Stock theme so you can revert it sometime

Flashing themes

If you flash a theme from the download list in the development forum does it auto install without the ability to remove?
I would like to try some, but hoping they are options to choose similar to choosing a wallpaper.
If you're on a custom ROM then most have a theme chooser to change back and forth between default and whatever else. Also if you're on stock rooted in has to be de-odexed for you to apply themes. If your ROM doesn't have a theme chooser then you can download ROM Toolbox from the Play store and it has a theme chooser as part of it that should allow you to change back to default. I've only messed with themes from the play store but the one you flash shouldn't be too different

^^^Ok, that made it seem very difficult (no offense, poster)
You on stock TW or a TW ROM? No, it doesn't auto-install. Download a theme, go into recovery and flash it. If you're on an AOSP ROM, you have to install the apk then apply through theme chooser. Nothing is automatic.

Thanks guys.
I am on clean rom 4.5.
I'm assuming that if I flash the theme and do not have a theme chooser then the theme will be sitting on my phone somewhere unable to be applied...
I'll just make a backup and then flash it lol.

It really wasn't that bad was it? I just tried to cover all bases. Like he really has to be on a deodexed ROM for almost every theme. I have only seen a few themes for odexed ROMs. And then the rest of it was talkin about theme managers. I do tend to make long posts though and over explain things, only cause most of the newbies on here have to have it broken down like I did when I first started flashing, themeing, and modding......
Anyway
