Hi Guys,
Been looking at loads including the official ones, which is the best USB / Crd adaptor to get?
Most likley will use a USB Flash drive rather than a Sim card, but depends on the best adaptor to get.

I ordered the Official ones (both the USB and the SD Card Adapter from amazon), they should arrive today.
In my limited experience they should work correctly as long as you plug it in correctly.
What I am going to try today though is using a generic USB card reader and the usb adapter to see if it works. If it does I might return the SD reader, only because I have multiple types of cards floating around.
There is an adapter on Amazon that has the SD/USB together and toggles with a physical switch but everyone seems to complain about the quality of manufacturing (flimsy, cheap, etc.) and I didn't want to gamble so I went OEM.
I purchased the official Samsung one from BBY (employee discount ) and it works amazingly. Plug in my Flash drive and it reads it without hesitation. Going to plug it into my keyboard dock permanently when it comes in tomorrow.
Theres a micro sd card reader which I like because its the smallest, the others looked a bit bulky to me. Not OEM but it works fine. Got it from amazon for about £8.

Just as a follow up, I love the Samsung ones I purchased, but I would stongly suggest getting the USB reader, the SD card Reader can be replaced with just a generic card reader (I tested with IOGEAR GFR 209) for maximum flexibility. And it's cheaper ($9) vs whatever the total cost of the combo kit is ($20) I believe. It might be a wash all things considered but I'd go the the multicard reader because you can read different formats...
Overall the 10.1 accessories work just fine in this case.
Now on to finding a good stylus!
Also have the combo kit from Samsung here too.
They work great. Fast trasnfer speeds too. Reliable recognition.
It didn't work with my WD passport 2.5 320gb HDD though. That requires a bit of power, so that wasn't expected.
I just bought the USB adapter. Does it work with ics? I can't test yet

Guys I've seen a 32gb and a 16gb Micro sd card class 4
Will class 4 be ok?
There is also a Samsung class 6 16gb I could get also ?
Ta
I've been using this generic USB adapter, and it's handled my 1gb cards as well as 32gb cards with those tiny microSD readers. Just connected a cheap Verbatim 2gb drive, and it read as a high power device that couldn't be read. I unplugged and plugged and it connected fine. Transferred files just fine.
I like it because it's just the dock connector and a thin cable instead of a big plastic contraption sticking out.

Anyone answer my query re Memory Card?
I use a sandisk 32gb class 4 with no issues. Heck, I even throw the class 2 one in from time to time. Haven't had any playback issues of videos on either. I think the key is more write speeds for recording video, but does the 8.9 record HD (never bothered to look or care) video, and would you if you could? Would imagine most are using their phones to do that.

I've got both the official USB and one on the cable from Ebay and both work fine. The only difference is that the Ebay connector is harder to remove than the Samsung one
I got my adapter for 1.99(USD) off ebay with free shipping... it works, but it kinda has a cheap feel to it...

Any stores selling mini to Micro USB adapters ote rthan onlne?
check www.monoprice.com ... just got ordered 6 micro usb to standard usb cables (of assorted length, from 1.5 to 6 ft) for $12 bucks shipped, priority mail.. then got a wall plug at Target that takes 2 USB cables for 20 bucks... works nicely.
I accidently tripped over my charger cable and some how my micro usb got kinda bent out of shape, I was a bit upset at how cheap the charger looked. It wasn't very HTC like. well I ordered a cable and a wall charger, and a car charger. I might be buying the car docking station when it comes out. It'd be pretty sweet.

Best Buy has a ~2ft USB cable with a mini plug (same as G1) on it but it comes with a mini to micro adapter. I dont know about data on it but it works great with existing mini wall and car chargerrs. The adapter is only about 1" long. The one that I bought at Best Buy was 14.99 and made by rocketfish. Only one I could find with an adapter.
If you have a fry's store nearby, go there. I think you can find mini-micro adapters as well as micro-usb cables. Plus, Frys sells these things at far lower prices than bestbuy.
I'm getting this one:

CAUTION - this site is a kinda "I WANT ONE OF THEM, OH AND ONE Of THEM TOO but don't really need any of it". My first time there I got pig torches, rare earth magnets, a green laser & a dolphin bracelet for my lass (a token gift for my lass) - none of which we needed!
couldn't help my self - cheap as chips - with free delivery to boot
And before you ask, no affiliation with dealextreme.

i didnt have the time to wait for one online so i just found one at a local circuit city store and was done done with that issue.
Got one from my local T-Mobile store.
Just got mine on Ebay for $3.25 includes shipping.
Just wanted to mention, everyone spending $2-5 on adapters could get a micro usb cable from Monoprice.com for $2-3 and not have a little adapter to keep track of.
I got a new SD card today, Kingmax 8GB class 10. Got it from eBay for an odd $20 including shipping (arrived in 2 weeks).

From what I can tell, everything works. How genuine (actual SanDisk, it is written on the card) it is, I dunno. I will be testing it some more to be 100% sure.
Update:
chkdsk reports a few bad sectors (512KB in total). It could be that this was so cheap due to not passing Q/A tests. Doing a slow scan now.
chkdsk output:
Code:
Windows has checked the file system and found no problems.
31,934,464 KB total disk space.
32 KB in 1 files.
512 KB in bad sectors.
31,933,888 KB are available.
32,768 bytes in each allocation unit.
997,952 total allocation units on disk.
997,934 allocation units available on disk.
OK, the 32GB is a probably a factory reject, and not very reliable. Going to the bin.
Yeah would have been amazing if it was real and working for that price, my 32gb integral class 4 cost me 56 quid so I guess well over 100 dollars, but I am very happy with it.
Hope ya find something a bit more reliable.

Hi everyone, i´ve bought from ebay 16gb class6 SDHC card and after testing it here are the result, is this true and should i look for refund or what? Thare should be at least write 6 is this corrcect?
EDIT: i found what is the problem. First test was in card reader connected on usb cabel 1 m long and after i˙ve putted the card in micro sd card reader connected directly in to pc the result is much better 3rd pic.
Some USB cables struggle with data for some unknown reason.
Try see what the transfer rather is to the DHD from the PC.
Mine is about 13-14MB/sec for big files. So there is extra overhead compared to just the microusb reader.

I would like one of these as well. I can find adapters everywhere, but I have no doubt that I would break one off if I got it. I've found the Hong Kong stuff on ebay as well, but I don't really trust that stuff.
Its not that hard to make your own if your handy and have both an extra female USB and MicroUSB cable lying around.

I got a micro to full size female adaptor off eBay from
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180648882313
I then got a full sized USB male to full size female extension cable from
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230449719867
It is not pretty but got from NY and OH cheaply. It works well for reading my thumbdrive. Be advised I got two micro to full female adaptors from a company on EBay called cablesonline.net. Their adaptor will not work in my Xoom. The pinout is different I guess.
Does this adapter have the pins 4 and 5 shorted on the micro USB side to activate USB OTG host mode on the phone ?
Or else it's useless.
You now find a lot of cables, too, but the question is still pending...

Save yourself the aggravation and just get one of the Moto Camera Kit cable. Yes, it's pricy but you know that it works. The others are really hit or miss. I got lucky on one, but missed on three others. At least the misses were fairly cheap...still...
I bought ohne AT Amazon
http://www.amazon.de/Nokia-Micro-US...KI/ref=sr_1_23?ie=UTF8&qid=1312475592&sr=8-23
IT works just great, looks good and is flexible due to the little piece of cable between theplugs.
Only thing, you'll have to do is, file the corners of the micro plug to a more round fitting. This could be done in two minutes and is quite easy.

OMG! Just buy the motorola one. You may say it's $20, but hey at least you know it works. Trust me you want the real deal if you use a usb hdd so the wiring is not cheap. That way if something fries then you weren't using an off brand that voids the warranty.

Here is a quick look at the new Lexar 633x 128GB MicroSDXC Card which was announced by Lexar. There is finally an alternative for people who still have a sour taste in their mouths from previous experiences with SanDisk cards. It even comes with a USB 3.0 MicroSDXC reader. As of this moment, Amazon.com LLC, Adorama, and B&H Photo are the only authorized retailers for this card in the US.
Card is Made in Korea

Product Highlights from the manufacturer:
• Premium memory solution for sports camcorders, tablets, and smartphones
• Quickly captures, stores, plays back, and transfers media files, including 1080p full-HD, 3D, and 4K video
• Leverages UHS-I technology for a transfer speed up to 633x (95MB/s)*
• Stores more than 15 hours of HD video; 33,000 photos; or 28,000 songs**
• Includes high-speed, Class 10 card and USB 3.0 reader
• Limited lifetime warranty for card and one-year limited warranty for USB 3.0 reader
I saw it on sale a few weeks ago on Amazon and decided to pick it up. It arrived today and I ran some benchmarks for your viewing pleasure. Do note that you will not see these speeds while it is inside of your Note 4 as none of these phones are capable of these high read and write speeds. I've included the A1 Benchmark (in phone).
As you can see, the read speed inside the Note 4 is only half of what you'd get with a UHS-I compatible USB 3.0 Card reader.
I would certainly consider this the better card for only $10 more than the SanDisk Ultra, especially if you consider that the Lexar has superior speeds, a free USB 3.0 card reader, and a better warranty. It's not fast enough for 4k on the GoPro 4 Black (due to the lower write speeds), but it's definitely fast enough for 4k on the Note 4.
There's not much to say so feel free to ask questions.
Thanks for sharing l wonder If its available where I am located and hopefully at a decent price point

I've always had nothing but great experiences with Lexar! I purchased the 128 GB 633x from Amazon and love it! Can't go wrong with their products. That warranty is great to have as well.
Was there a price or did I miss it
That is definitely better than the ultra. And it does matter in the phone. I have a lot of Micro Sd cards because I have a GoPro so I tested the transfer speed in the phone of most of them. First I took a 1 gig video at 4K and saved it to the internal storage. Then timed how long it would take to copy it the the sd card from the phone. First the Sandisk Ultra took 83 seconds, then the lexar 600x took 57 seconds, third the Samsung Pro took 41 seconds. So there are real life scenarios that the speed matters. Also, since I have a GoPro, I hate that I have an Ultra card because it can't be used in it.

The US amazon currently has it $119.99US. On a side note, the Scandisk Ulta 128GB is $119.49 on the site.
Personally, not that I couldn't find a way to use the space, I'm just more waiting for the price to lower to around $50US. There will be some kind of sale. Till then, I'll torture myself with the 64GB Scandisk Ulta I've been using for over two years and the 32GB on internal storage

Thermal Issues Exist
I received my 128 * 633 yesterday and loaded DivX files at about 21 mps and mp3's at between 11 MBps and 16 MBps using the enclosed USB 3 adapter. I was able to load between 3GB and 20GB at a time before the device experienced thermal shutdown. Device was too hot to touch upon shutdown and had to cool down before the computer would see it again. Do I have a problem unit or is this the unavoidable nature of the beast? I intend to run it in my LG G3 so I would be tasking it more gently than with my uploading.
did anybody have the chance to compare the lexar directly to sandisk or the new samsung 128gb sd cards in a phone?

I've noticed that a lot of the usb type c Micro sd card adapters currently available are pretty bulky and unsightly to the eyes, this one atleast looks pretty close to the design aesthetic of the 6P scheme.
They're also the same guys who kickstarted this micro usb one that I still like using cause of how low profile it is.

They're also the same guys who kickstarted this micro usb one that I still like using cause of how low profile it is.

I've got an Orange one of those. I like it, it's slow, but nice.

I just got one of these a few days ago, kind of impressed at the quality on this thing. Definitely feels more durable than the Meenova one I've got. I also like that it is all in one. Can't wait to get my phone. I'd only be using it for transferring files or emergency memory backup, I never keep these things in the phone because I'm scared I'll break something or have it get yanked out and corrupting everything.
It would never be my intent to have a reader permantly attached to my phone. In fact, I would more likely use an OTG dongle and USB stick! Now, I might get a Type C stick at some time. I connect my DSLRs to my phone to control shooting and currently the USB 3 cable is Type A to Type Micro B (3). Maybe I will be able to go direct Type C to Type Micro B (3).
Dev sent out an email, their at 80% completion and they showed it off running on the 6p(5x as well). Looks pretty nice!
