Check this out! I found a modded xperia s style home apk that can autorotate!!! (it also has a 5x4 app drawer)
Through the XDA news portal I found this Xperia Arc thread which, among other things, contained a home.apk that can autorotate!!
I deleted all other files except the home.apk and flashed it to achotjans semc debrand engine. It works beautifully!
Check for the zip at the bottom!
PS: all credits go to pajoneer for providing the apk! Give him some thanks too!

This has a 5x4 app drawer...
If you have a 5x4 grid in the appdrawer you won't see the last row in landscape mode.
But i think this could also be changed so that you get a 4x5 grid in landscape mode but i'm not totaly sure if this works

Just with bug. In normal mod, cannot add the fifth row in app drawer, in landscape mode, the indicator in app drawer moved into the table.

You mean that in landscape mode the page indicator merges with the content? Yes, this is normal. The page indicator also disappears after a few seconds too.
If you are unable to see the fifth row in the app drawer, go to settings>applications>all applications>xperia home, and clear data. This should fix any app drawer problems...
If not, come back and I'll see if I can do something for you!

Have you tried the zip yet? Because you just described exactly what the app drawer does! lol... It's 4 icons wide by 5 icons long in portrait mode, and when you switch to landscape it switches to 5 icons wide by 4 icons long.

Right... I'd like to shed light on that, but I haven't been able to download a fxp rom since they switched to uploaded.to
I'm in the US, so the whole site is blocked. Even proxies from other countries aren't working. If someone can upload the rom I'd be glad to troubleshoot it, although FXP said not to do it so... yeah.

Great, drawer works as it should once launcher data are erased.
Howewer, it needs Facebook inside Xperia (i guess) - when I try to move some widgets or delete one, it crashes... What a pity

Ok, I finally got this working, this is a port of Whitehawkx KC1 mod.

Don't flash the mod over this.. I tried flashing the status bar mod over and I got a boot loop.. It kept getting stuck on scanning media or something..

Is anyone else experiencing this? This should not be affected by this flash, I believe that data is store in twframework-res.apk which was not touched.
Did you flash this over a theme or a theme over this?

Ok I will try and explain why this will likely never be possible with current themes mods, KC1 should be the same way.
When you flash this mod you are replacing several system files with these modified ones, all which are required for android to function. When you flash a theme you replace some of these files with files modified differently. So therefore the code required to make these features work will have been overwritten. The only way to make themes work would be to either add the lockscreen code modifications to the theme system files and flash or vice-verse.
The only other option I can think of to make it possible to flash themes over this would be to write a script that could decompile the necessary files add the appropriate code and recompile all on the phone. - I don't intend to do this.
So to answer your question I will probably spend some time to port this to our Gingerbread theme, and will probably make this final.
Time for some Rom action.

I'd made a SE Arc launcher before and you couldn't use Arc Photo and Video
widget with it but now I made another one and the widget's working. There
are also two digital clock as you can see in the pictures.
Download the attached files.
Put them in your SD card.
Flash "01.zip" through recovery.
Then reboot and install the "PhotoWidget.apk"
The widget should work, if it didn't or you had any problem with
the launcher just use root explorer to delete Home.apk from your
/system/app, but don't uninstall the Photo widget.
After you delete Home.apk, again reboot into recovery and
this time flash "02.zip",
That's it, I hope you like it, if you do just hit the thanks button.

This is Xperia Arc launcher and it wont replace the stock launcher.
This is a system app and you can't install it, so you need to put it in /system/app. I have another version that you can install it but the Photo and video widget doesn't work on it.

Really? That's wierd.
Go to Settings/Application/Manage Application, and find Home, then clear it's
data. If Photo widget is there, do the same thing for it as well and see if it works.

After restart it doesnt pop up at all checked in root xplorer its there in system/app but not there in app manager tryed wiping chache and reflashing still same

Yeah, you'r right, and I don't know what the problem is, because the APK is in
/system/app. For me, like you said, it just happens when I rebuild it and want to
try it and of course not always, but for someone who hasn't installed it, there
shouldn't be any problem. Also I haven't had any problem when I flash it via
recovery, it only happens sometimes when I push it using explorers.

Yeah, it's possible. For me the photo widget works fine, but since I'm not a developer, I don't know why it's like that for you, sorry, mate.

I am giving you some files to enable PSP Live Wallpapers as everytime i tried installing or even adding to /system/apps/ and setting the right permissions they still wouldn't work. But I have now found a solution to the problem and just in case you are having the same problems as me here you go.
Open .RAR and there will be three folders with where they need to go. Open Folders and copy to sdcard and place where instructed below:
Add these two files to /system/etc/permissions/:com.sony.android.playstationcertified.xml & com.sonyericsson.android.xperiaplaycertified.xml
And then these two at /system/framework/laystationcertified.jar & xperiaplaycertified.jar
Reboot, then install the two .apk and all should be good
Enjoy

edit: hell yeah! it works! now we need to get everything working such as the "drag app here to share", facebook inside xperia 2.0 and the other stuff i already mentioned...Wolfbreak, i smell an UUPPDDAAAAAAAAATTEE.

On some phones it didn't work for them there was a lib file pspwave.so or somethin like that... it was reported working on wolfs rom
Anyways no prob...I was just lookin through to find somethin interestin to port...

He is asking if the background in the Dialer, Messaging app, Settings, etc. changes, not just wallpaper. The app looks better but if it doesn't change those backgrounds it is not fully functional.

Guys I searched in net. There I found very useful information. I got all 2.3.7 stock apps.

From .rar file I extracted gallary3d.apk file & replaced in system/app folder. Believe me guys its really super smooth. Images loads very quickly.
But I am facing one problem that I can't choose wallpaper in horizontal mode. I can select wallpaper in vertical mode only.
I have attatched screenshot also. Do I have to replace any more file .rar file?? please help me someone expert.
Problem lies in compatibility, Maybe it's still in beta? Also 2.3.7 for which phone and firmware did you yank it from? Reason why it's not working is probably because the apk of the phone it was pulled out from doesn't support landscape view.
Just my 2 cents.

ya...may be you are rite. But kkrraazzyy also has used these apk files in his new rom AOSPISED. Dont know how he solved the problems.

Probably took it from a device that has about the same resolution as ours or something.
Thus same thing happens on my lg optimus and friends xperia but i think its only app option specific problem.

Can you check if homescreen wallpaper scrolling is enabled in your launcher preferences ?
It looks like all wallpaper doesn't scroll when u switch homescreens.

it happens because wallpaper is set vertically...but if we set it horizontally then wallpaper scrolling get automatically enabled.
These cause crashes/freeze on black screen for me. Similar to that leaked ICS music player

I have just tried...same problem. Are u sure that u have not faced any problem in ur rom with this file while selecting a wallpaper...???

you have to deodex phone before doing any changes in systeme/app folder.
