TouchWiz Music Player for Kyrillo's Rom v10.0 Final - Galaxy 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey I was wondering if there is any way I could get the original touchwiz player from samsung to Kyrillo's ROM v10.0.
I tried using root explorer but the app just FC's while trying to launch.(gingerbread compatibility issue maybe?). Also I hate the stock player included in the ROM and would like to get rid of it. Any way I can do this?

If you really want it you'll it to port it to GB because there is some libs needed by the app i don't remember where but darius post a tutorial try to follow it...
If i find the tutorial i'll say it to you don't worry

I'm really not good at porting stuff as I have limited knowledge. But can someone direct me to a page where I can find more info on this stuff. Or recommend a player with a similar interface and functionality to it?

just use poweramp, its perfect for me and ive used it since i first found out about poweramp
if you wanna delete the stock music app in Kyrillos V10, just go into root explorer and delete the music player files

You can't just use touchwiz mp3 player in gingerbread roms because you need Samsung's custom res-framework.
Winamp (free) and Poweramp are the best mp3 players out there.

[APP] HTC Sense Music Player

Okay so the new mytouch 3g fender edition has the HTC music player from sense UI and is running on 1.6. Question I have is will we be able to port that apk or that version onto the Nexus one. I wouldnt mind Sense UI on my N1 but until then I would love the HTC music player from my old hero.

It would probably be pixelated.
I would REALLY like to see someone try and port it. The stock music player is junk. I always loved the one in Sense.
Try Nemo Player from the Acer one.
Mixzing music player is a step above the stock one. It comes with 2 music Widgets, which are both quite attractive. I like the 4x4 one better than the sense widget actually.

Agreed. The best Music/Video player out there. Modaco has the latest 0.96.1 release of it.

I don't see this in the Acer Forum on Modaco?
Also wil it work straight out of the box, so to speak?

Any chance of a standalone release?
At modaco, it's in the liquid area. Somebody posted the apk in the thread of the new leaked Ron.

I don't see why everyone likes Nemo so much. The buttons are smaller than the stock music player. It also picks up every single audio file I have, including all my ringtones I created, the stock one does not.
I do love the sense music app, because of the fact you can pretty much switch songs without looking at the screen. That is one of the major fallbacks of this stock music player. Swipe to skip or previous. As well as an EQ.
Sure the nemo player looks good when it comes to UI, but it has needless features (the picture gallery and ability to take photo's) which just makes me dislike it further.
If the Nemo Music player UI incorporated some useful features it might have been better, but it performs exactly the same as the stock player. I haven't found anything that makes it better, so... what makes it better?

I don't really see all the fuss. Other than a better colour scheme it doesn't really seem any better for me than the built in music app and actually lags a bit with the number of tracks I have which is much less pronounced on the standard app
Agreed, I honestly would like to see the HTC music player from Hero, that was perfect, it ran slow on the G1, but it would fly on this phone, and IMHO, that was the best player to date. It had the swipe right in the middle of the screen, which is VERY easy when driving, nice UI, and (maybe only possible w.hero) action buttons on the lock screen tied with it (amazing).
Now could someone please port THAT player? I would pay if someone could do that.
Thats one the best features I miss is the lock screen options on that HTC music player. I use my phone in the gym and Im not always trying to use pandora so it would be worth paying for to have that HTC music player back especially with that feature to use it on the lock screen. The Sense music player is as close to the ipod type that I have seen. Really lets face it I just want a little more sense UI mixed with 2.1 but the music player could probably hold me over. I will admit i am former hero user who jumped to the nexus one but no regrets. I just cant wait until there is a sense ui/2.1 rom out. I would pay money for that.
App ripped, but not fully working.
In the Acer liquid section in Modaco, someone had posted a Sense UI rom for the liquid. I was able to extract the sense music player Apk, and although it ran, it would force close immediately after opening (graphics were fine, not pixelated). I tried copying over some additional files related to the app, but still no joy. Since I don't have the installer and lack expertise, it's going to be tough to figure it out on my own I think. Anyone have any ideas? BTW, I ripped it from the liquid rom to ensure that the resolutions were comparable.

Install Droid Explorer and hook it up to your PC and use LogCat to see what errors it gives, will give an idea of where to start, at least.
Well, i found a way to run htc music player on the N1. Unfortunatly it doesn't work properly
It can play all songs stored on the Sdcard but it's unable to select a playlist or selected songs.
Whatever it's a first step and maybe someone can port this app fully working on this device.
If some of you are interested by this, i can share the zip file.

As said previously, its not so simple. Many times apps for different phone types rely On other system apps or service .apk files to work correctly.

any news?? i would love the samsung music player in my lg optimus black!!!

MIUI Music installable .apk

ok this is the MIUImusic.apk that was dumped from the miui rom
the difference with this version is that i have resigned it so that it can be installed like a normal application for those of us who do not have root access or for people who do have root access and are just to lazy to manually place it in the system
Instructions:
1. download the SignedMiuiMusic.apk
2. place on your sdcard
3. run the .apk via a file manager like astro
4. install and enjoy

youtube:

Works on fascinate dj05. Thanks!!
Works great on nexus s. Nice music app
It even works great on the Xperia X8 of my girlfriend! Thank you!
/edit: one question: is this apk different from the Miui Music of Darkys v8?

i think its the same only the background is blue not purple.
the whole idea behind this is that all the other miuimusic downloads require root access to place the apk directly into the system folder, by resigning it, it allows people to just install it without root like a normal market type application, which i was surprised no one had done before
but yeah pretty sure its the same miuimusic build as in darkys
What's so good about this player ... I do not see any features different than the stock. Actually it seems like it has less features than the stock..

its just personal preference its android its all about choice

I just deinstalled the Miui Music on my SGS via SGS Tools and installed this one. And you are right! They are the same. No differences, besides of the color. And I prefer the blue one much more
And I LOVE the Miui Music Player! It looks fantastic, it is easy to use and the automatic (and fast!) lyric download is great!
I hated the stock MP3 Player on my SGS. Even Mix Zing or Cubed did not fully satisfy me. I always prefered the iPod App on my iPhone 3g.
But the Miui Music Player is just awesome (for me)!
Works great on my x10,also perfectly fits phone own blue theme!
Thanks a lot!

Any chance of a LDPI version?
Go to admit this player is stunning.
I didn't see much difference from the Stock player, then I started to really play with it.
The lyric download is very accurate.
Love the little sound bars when playing and the widget is nice and compact and even shows the artwork.
Genius...

i switched from miui to ttpod as well.
ttpod has better lyric support (bigger display screen for lyrics, can select lyrics if more than one version exists) and it can play music from a specific folder.
also, ttpod doesnt have the visualization on the play window which appears sluggish on my phone on miui player.
cons: ttpod doesnt have a widget.
Does anyone know how to get last.fm working? That is the only thing holding me back.
I like it
Works great on a EVO. I think the EQ is cool, i like eye candy
THanks for your hardwork! This is awesome.
I tried MIUI and the only thing I liked about it was the music app and the contacts/phone app.
Can I request if you have time to do the same thing with the contacts/phone app so that I can install that as a separate apk also?
Or if you don't mind. can you PM me the steps on how you ripped and signed it and I can figure it out =).
Great work!
Works great on x10

the biggest con for me with ttpod was there wasn't a now playing screen. That's frustrating beyond belief. If I select a song, then start fishing through my library, I should be able to get back to that song and album view with the touch of a button. Also, it needs to be more customizable. I hate that background.
MIUI is cool. I like it. I'm at a point now where there a few music players I like, all have pros and cons, and so I just take the smallest one for memory purposes.

[Q] Music Players similar to stock Samsung one?

Hi everyone, does anybody know of a music player that's similar to the stock Samsung Touchwiz one?
I'm looking for a music player that specifically has a widget like the Samsung TW one has, one that you can scroll thru your entire library/playlist contents on the home screen/lock screen WITHOUT needing to open the app itself.
I've tried looking for it on my own, but no luck, and I've tried ports of the stock Samsung TW music player but cannot push to system/app or install conventionally or flashing the zip. I think it has something to do with my phone not using TW anymore?
Does anybody know of any music player that has that kind of feature? Or better yet can link me to some kind of port of the TW app that would work on my phone and ROM? Thanks
I'm running Mahdi ROM 4.4.4 on a Samsung S4 i9505

Music Apps for Note 4?

Hello,
I will be getting the Note 4 soon which should be running kitkat on it, I'm hoping someone could recommend some good music apps to use on it, as one of the reasons I'm getting the note 4 is to play all the MP3s I have. I'll take recommends on both free and paid apps and not looking for anything fancy. Just something that shuffles all the music I'll load up on it.
Thanks for any help.
Why not use the stock one that comes with it? I have not had any issues with it.

I wasn't sure if there were better apps than the stock one. I haven't gotten a chance to test it out yet.
I personally very much like N7Player. Has a very good equalizer and plenty of options. (The UI might be a bit confusing at first for some.)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.n7mobile.nplayer (Free timed trial, after that you'll need to purchase the unlocker).
thanks for the recommend, I'll look into the app.
Hype machine
Rocketplayer
Flipbeats
hotspoters
PlayerPro
this is the hot player as i thought .
the one that i used is musixmatch
is a good app for music it comes with lyrics
Spotify music stream, musixmatch if you want floating lyrics..
