Yes, im using like that right now..
should fit - the phones are almost identical. I think all the antenna connections from the back of the phone housing are in the same place too.

Hi,
Both covers should fit, but I truly think that they are missing the 4G antenna, so you probably will only get Edge (maybe 3G?) for your mobile network if you have T-Mobile Sensation 4G. Look at the attached pic and you will see that both covers are missing antenna "A" from the pic.
You can also look at this post (I took the pic from there): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1155685
They are discussing the location of the antennas, but I am almost 100% sure that I am right about this, as I read on Engadget at some point, but I couldn't find the article.

You're wrong.
That last antenna doesn't make much of a difference in wifi, 3g, bluetooth, or gps.
Even without that last antenna everything works fine.
It isn't for 4G because technically tmobile's 4G is just an enhanced version of their 3G network. (HSPA 7.2 is regular 3g. HSPA+ 14.4 is "4G")
I agree 100%, I read somewhere that the 4th antenna is not affected when we change cover. Currently i am using the HTC sensation xe cover and everything is working fine. Although i can't say about the 4G as its not available yet in Malaysia. Cheers~
ok my volume side plastic pieces to turn volume up and down on the side broke off, so i need a new back cover for my tmobile htc sensation 4g (my sensation is not the XE) but i like the look of the white XE back cover. In this thread, you all are saying i can buy a white sensation xe beats audio back cover and put it on my tmobile htc senstaion 4g (non xe) and it will still work and function? tryin to figure this out soon 100% cause i don't wanna waste the money and i need to get another back cover cause i like being able to adjust my volume on the outside instead of going into settings. thanks

Would me popping in the HD2 Official Extended Battery brick the AT&T HTC Inspire 4G?
Gonna assume the two battery sizes are the same. Haven't received my Inspire 4G yet. Still in the mail.
I believe when some contacted HTC, they stated that the Inspire/Desire HD battery is not compatible with any other current HTC device.
This is in the wrong section... This should be in accessories...
If you could some how get the battery to fit, I guess it would temporarily brick it seeing as the Inspire's battery has contacts on the side whereas the HD2 battery does not.
Remember, the Inspire has an aluminium unibody design and no genuine extended battery will work with it.

Not likely. If the HD2 extended battery is thicker than the Inspire battery, it wouldn't fit the slot of the Inspire. The battery of the Inspire slides into the body of the Inspire much like an SD card slides in. And the shape of the slot is the size of the OEM battery and no larger.
i have and hd2 (european version) that is no longer working (screen doesnt respoond to touch) and was wondering if anyone has trying putting the original htc hd2 batterry ( not extended battert) in their inspire 4g. due to the fact that i dont what to break my phone, i have not turned it on, but it does fit, really snugly. where the original htc inspire battery just slides out with no effort, the hd2 battery needs to be pulled out to be removed
My wife has a My Touch 4G Slide, and I have a Sensation. I was taking a look at our batteries today, and both our our OEM batteries have the exact same model number, and look and feel exactly the same...with one exception that I could find: the metal contacts on the bottom of the battery are on the opposite side of each battery, relative to the "HTC" logo on the "front" of the battery. If you flip one battery over, so the "small print" is facing up, and the align it with the other battery, I have a hard time telling the difference.
Before I place one of these batteries in the opposite phone and cause the polar ice caps to melt down, can anybody confirm that I can swap these batteries between the phones with no issues?
I'll keep scouring the XDA forums and the rest of the interweb thingies, but I haven't found an answer yet.
Thanks.
I did this going from my old incredible to a g2. I just flipped the battery around, cut the corners down and plugged it in. Worked just fine.

I'm scared that my hair will fall out, or tsunamis will hit several major cities around the world! Well, maybe not THAT scared.
Make sure the polarities are going the right way.
HTC Sensation, HTC Evo 3D, and HTC MyTouch 4G Slide stock batteries are all interchangeable. The similar-sized extended batteries (the ones that don't require a new back cover) also work too, to my knowledge.
Well the Evo 3D and Sensation batteries are swapable so guess that would me the same for the Sensation and myTouch. I have a sensation and my wife has the MT4G... why would you want to swap?
Edit--- nevermind just realized you said MT4G Slide...
I've switched the 2 batterys with no problems

really love the mugen 1 in my g2, it is hard because of that to switch now
Hi guys!
I've been using my HTC Sensation for a month now and I'm really reaally happy with it EXCEPT with the WiFi death grip. But I read this earlier today, an article from GSM Arena: http://blog.gsmarena.com/htc-sensat...re-there-different-versions-of-the-sensation/
As you can see, from the article, there are different versions of the back covers for the HTC Sensation.
It seems that the one with 3 contacts in the back cover doesn't experience the death grip at all. So now I am looking at this replacement back cover at ebay that has three contacts: http://www.ebay.ph/itm/ORIGINAL-HTC...asesPouches&hash=item1c1f636ebf#ht_2847wt_960
Im hoping it will fix the death grip issues but first...
Is anyone here using a back cover that has the three contacts inside for the antenna and are you still experiencing the death grip?
I just want to know if this is a worthy spend for the money. Its the perfect phone for me already.

The one in the link only has 2 contacts as far as I can see.
I dunno bout you mate but im using the Sensation XE and the back cover on my phone has the same contact points as the one in the picture...
Just to clarify how many contact points does your current phone cover have?
Sorry about that. This one has three antenna contacts at the back: http://www.ebay.ph/itm/NEW-Full-Hou...ltDomain_0&hash=item3f0e652d2a#ht_2175wt_1139
My HTC Sensation has 2 antenna contacts only. Are you experiencing the WiFi death grip on the Sensation XE and do you have 2 or 3 contacts at the back cover? Thanks!
My phone cover has the same number of contacts as the one shown in your first link... So it has 2 contacts i guess...
but on the other hand im pretty close to my wireless extender... Also its running on wireless N... and so far i havent had any issues with my wifi... maybe its cause im using it at home..

I kinda have the same configuration you have at home. WiFi N and so on. But whenever I hold the top part of my phone, the signal of the WiFi all of a sudden falls from 4 bars to 1 bar or none.
Correct me if I'm wrong but do you think that if change my Sensation's back cover to the one that has 3 antenna connectors, would it help? Thanks!
I've ever asked this question here before. The answer is some say it's worked and some say it didn't,so I decided to not take this risk
There a video on Youtube 'Sensation death grip', the guy is trying to tell you that adding a strip of foil might help? That's not why I mentioned the video though, I mentioned it because I'd noticed that the back on his Sensation has the 3 contacts, possibly suggesting that even his phone has signal problems.

Just watched and you're right. Sigh, I guess the case with the three antenna connectors won't really help. Btw, does the WiFi death grip also apply with the new Sensation XE?
Mine has the 3 contacts and still has the wifi death grip so don't bother finding a 3-contact back; it won't help.
Each contact is for a different antenna.
Someone else posted something similar to this not too long ago regarding the difference between the S4G and SXE back covers. His cover (like mine) has 3 contacts, but the XE cover only had two. I did some looking around and found the FCC filing for the S4G, which lists the 3rd contact to be the GPS antenna. The others are the WLAN (wi-fi) and a "Diversity" antenna. There is a PDF attachment that was submitted to the FCC with the descriptions of each antenna in that thread.

This has been asked and covered numerous times, it's an extra pin for the 4g version if I'm not mistaken, but users have made 4g work without that extra pin. no biggie.

Doesn't seem to have any issues with WiFi so far... and i tried a lot of ways to cover the back of the phone... (palm, pillow, books)
maybe its an issue with WiFi range?
This actually has to do with the case of the phone but a question about the software that the connections on the case are used for. I know the htc sensation case that is for the over seas version with the beats audio symbol on the back is not the same as the U.S htc sensation 4g, but fits the U.S htc sensation 4g though is missing the what i think is a grounding connection for what some say may be a gps type of signal for the phone. Does anyone know what that missing connection actually is. I was also wondering if i use very precise materials to cut out the connection on my old phone case and bond it to the new case beats case, will this supply enough of whatever connection the phone needs from that goldish colored substance that the phones prongs connect to. The beats audio case even has a square mark the exact same size as the piece it is missing that is on the U.S version of the phone.

Well the missing connection will be the 4g antenna. But I'm not sure as I have a white xe cover for my normal sensation and it has an extra antenna built into it.

Not true. I have the XE cover on my 4G and I get 5 to 8 mbits whereas before I got 5 to 8 mbits.
The extra antenna on the Sensation 4G is for A-GPS and doesn't actually effect GPS aside from it locking maybe ten seconds slower.
Ohhhh thanks for clearing that up.

Just wandering as few people already have said that the one s cell coverage is not the best has anyone tried to switch the settings in the hidden menu by dialling *#*#4636#*#*. I know it works on other phones but just wandering has anyone tried it for the one s
It works fine for me no matter what I put it on.
same here and better than my N1
i think it is tmo more than the phone
Also check of top and bottom plastic covers are snapped on tight before worrying about signal quality. That said a friend of mine had to replace his one s due to abysmal wifi signal, new one is perfect though
