Hey guys i just bought a new cell phone..
Samsung Galaxy s Gt-i9003 (i am a lil confused if gt-i9003 is the same as sL - i9003 or something ) plz do clear it up a lil for me..
and i tried the superoneclick method

SUPERONECLICK doesnt' work most of the times!
better use the CF-ROOT. you can find the thread in the development section,
jst use universal cf root..easy to use and most stable.me also using it....for a very long time

thanks guys.. but my cell is ddkp4 (though when i was running superoneclick root it detected ddkp3) and there is no root for ddkp4 how can i root it now? should i go trying the ddkp3 method?

XX means its' a european firmware!
and ur ROM isnt' DDKP4 its' DDKP3(pda).

what beni version do i need to flash that .tar file?
cuz when i had flashed a root for galaxy fit (my bros cell) i used beni_v1.ops
do i need the same or its different over here?

Its a pit file here. You dont need the pit file if youre not flashing a full rom with 4 files.

For 2.3 (Gingerbread) Users:
download the upd_1.zip file from the attachments
save the file on the root of your sd card
Now switch the phone in recovery mode. Press and hold Power button + middle menu button together to start in recovery mode.
Once you are in recovery mode you will get lot of options on screen. In recovery mode touchscreen does not work, so use the volume up/down buttons to toggle through options. To confirm options press the middle button.
Go to the second option i.e apply update from SD card.
Upon selecting the second option you will need to select the fileupd_1.zip. Press the middle button to apply changes.
It takes 2-3 seconds to install the update.
Once the above step is complete, reboot your system from the first option.
As the phone reboots you will have super user in it. Your phone is rooted now.

Root problem
Hello guys...
I was a having a little problem. I successfully rootes 2-3 times froyo on my fit. But this time when I flashed froyo on fit and rooted with superoneclick it showed success. But when I run terminal emulator or root explorer they force close. I tried this two times without any success. Please help.

How to flash:
- You need Gingerbread Bootloader, so be on Gingerbread
- Flash it like CM7 or Miui
If you don´t know what this mean DON`T FLASH! Rom is for now for Developers only!!!
HowTo use the Rom:
You need to use two fingers to use the touchscreen.
What´s working:
- It´s booting
- Touchscreen in some ways...
What´s not working:
- Everything not listed in 'working'

I have tried the tar file you have give earlier and it was booting sucessfully but i havent tested this build

No, it´s not the same tar file (this was own Samsung Kernel), i´ll send you the right one soon - with modified bootclass path.
i have the modified bootclass file
so i have to flash that first and this second ???

If you have the modified ramdisk with different bootclass repack it and flash this. I´ll send you the other files you need - the files extracted from system.img

I used it to make this video, but one of my testers flashed it on the Galaxy SLC. If you have any experience with android developing you know that in a SDK-Build only kernel is different from other devices - but this is the most difficult part, too.

You may be have to flash the rom more than one time until it works - if kernel is totaly not booting, try sakandias one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18679932&postcount=109. Unpack the xxx.tar, rename the included normalboot.img to boot.img and replace it with the boot.img in the rom´s .zip

3 extract files from lib.zip and copy them to /data/data/com_adobe_flashplayer/lib/
using root explorer
4 Change the permissions of those 4 files as following

6) Connect your phone to ur PC and Odin will detect ur phone and the COM ID turns yellow.
7) Click on PDA and select the CWM file that u downloaded earlier. (NOTE : File name in picture is different.)
8) Click on Start and let Odin flash your phone. Wait for the Green Light and let ur phone restart.
You have successfully flashed CWM 4.0.0.2 to ur SGR !
To enter CWM Recovery menu.....
1) Shut down ur phone.
2) Turn on the phone
3) Once u see the first screen
Press Volume Up and Center button together.
4) Finally u are in CWM Recovery Menu

U can flash CWM mod without root on ur i9103.
Remember to back up ur backup to ur PC in case ur SD crashes.

I wouldn't know and i dun really care about the warranty.
Android phones are made to be messed around with.
If u are afraid, stay with ur stock phone and dun root or CWM.
Else u can always buy the USB Jig to reset the counter for less than US$4.

U can flash this to ANY ROM,stock or custom,rooted or unrooted,male or female,as long as u have a Galaxy R I9103.
Installing CWM thru ODIN doesn't increase the counter, just confirmed!
and Russian support
is there italian language?

I have Samsung Galaxy S I9070 Advance, which is very simliar phone to this one (here see comparison). I wonder if I could send you some informations about partitons and recovery from my phone, and you could tell if it is the same as Galaxy R?

Yes u can or u can also use ardatdat's kernal to speed up ur stock rom.

camera is working good all good but i think if u want t returrn to ics later then do not flash cdtbin and bootloader

then u r free to flaash it bro use rsd lite and join the army !!!!
if u want to know how to exclude it jus search fatboot commands
in fastboot there are specific commands for specific files to be flashed like for boot img we type
motofastboot flash boot boot.img

A final review to know that what I'm going to do will not damage my phone.
I open RSDLite and then select the file. Xml, right?
Then I connect my phone in Apfastboot mode and then i select 'start'?
