Scosche BTAXS MotorMouth II Stereo - Epic 4G Accessories

Bought one of these a few weeks ago and am loving it!
http://www.scosche.com/consumer-tech/product/1919
I have it hooked up to my JVC KD-R530 receiver in my '03 Santa Fe via the REAR AUX input.
Scosche wants $80, but I found it at Wal-Mart for $35.
Sound quality (music) is just as good, if not better, than when I had my phone hooked up via 3.5mm cable to AUX directly. Also does a nice job with voice quality (phone). People can hear me clearly and no more "echo" from my stereo speakers either.
Just thought I'd share, as I found it to be a nice solution to those of us who drive older cars without Bluetooth integration, and don't want to spend $200+ for an aftermarket head unit with Bluetooth (which I've read mixed reviews about pairing ability/sound quality with anyhow).

XDA II USB Cradle with Audio

http://www.bhinneka.com/Engine/detail.asp?i=16218
Has anyone gotten a USB Cradle with Audio yet? Expansys seems to have them on pre-order, but it looks like the above site is selling them.
I bet this would work nicely in the car since it presumably has a 3.5mm audio jack in the back and a microphone on the front (that works?!)
Combined with a bluetooth GPS and MS Voice Command, this should be all set!

Inline headphone audio control/mic adapter?

Does anyone know of a headphone adapter with audio controls and and a mic? I'm think of something similar to the mini-USB to 3.5mm adapter than came with the G1, but obviously with a 3.5mm connector for the phone.
I like the controls on the bundled headphones but the audio quality and noise isolation is terrible. I want to be able to use my Sennheisers but still pause and skip songs. I'm sure I could splice the bundled control module into my headphones but I'd rather not hack up an expensive set.
Alternately, does anyone know of a software solution to map one of the buttons to perform pause/skip functions? Having to unlock the phone to pause and skip or use a fugly lock screen replacement is not ideal.
i would like to know this as well
I've got two sets that I really like. Skull Candy FMJ are my favorite. Great sound isolation. Kinda spendy, but well worth it. A lower cost and nearly as good option is a Best Buy brand vmoda headset. Sound isolation with inline mic witha button which is basically a start/pause button for the audio. It works great for what I use it for.
Hmm. I'd prefer just a simple adapter so I can keep using my Sennheiser CX 300-II's (especially since I just replaced them this summer after leaving my old set on an airplane). Do you have the v-modas? I don't want them, but I want to make sure that iPod controls also work on the G2. If so I may check out the Etymotic mc3 or hf3.
Look at radio shack for what you are looking for. I'm pretty sure I saw something to what you are looking for. Here it is...

I have the v-moda vibe duo, the jaybird freedom, and zagg smartbuds. All three work great. Zagg has the coolest feature of any headphones I've had with the way they designed them and are my go to. V-moda has the best bass of the three and jaybirds are perfect for working out it. All three mic and controls work.

Ouch! $40 for a simple mic and control button adapter? I may just start cutting and splicing cheap headsets to see if that works.

i have sony ericsson mw-600 stereo bluetooth adapter/headset if you want a more wireless option. it has OLED display and controls on the mic clip, and stereo adapter to plug in your own headphones/ear buds if you dont like the stock ones.

Good car stereo Bluetooth device no auxiliary old radio

I have a 2006 Dodge Stratus and my car has the original radio. Any suggestions on playing music and calls via Bluetooth with having to buy a new stereo?

Bluetooth FM Modulator, don't buy cheap though!
I've install a couple of these, seemed nice.
Alpine eX-10
But there is a few out there, I would read up on them. Use ebay for a better price.

I love the Blackberry Audio Gateway. All it does is receive stereo BT, nothing else, and outputs it into the AUX jack in the car stereo. It powers up and down through the cig lighter and car battery, pairs in seconds virtually every time. Only thing I can maybe fault it for is being overly bass-heavy. And it's fairly inexpensive.
Edit:
here's the link to the Amazon page and the reviews at the bottom. seems legit to me.

Edit 2:
Apparently the link i gave initially turned out to be a bug in buy.com 's system.

for a decent but inexpensive radio, I have the Clarion CZ-500 in my truck.
It does bluetooth hands free calling as well as A2DP profile for audio. If you use an app like Vlingo on your phone, then you can text hands free as well
There are lots of radios to choose from that support A2DP. I'm suggesting one that I use all the time. There are many others. You can pick up a refurb on ebay for less than $100 I would imagine.
It also has a lengthy USB cord (that my daughter uses ) to plug her iPod touch into and the radio will control the ipod's music player. The USB will not charge the Epic though FWIW.
Hope this helps

Ok thanks. I seen Dual radios for less than $100. But I don't know how good they are. Clarion is a good brand.

Yaaaa, try to stay away from Dual anything... or almost anything from Wal-Mart.

Stay away from wireless FM. Go inline with the antenna. All wireless is crap. Haven't looked into it, but if you have an input of some sort for a cd changer or xm, there is probably an aux unit that can take advantage of it with a true line in and much better SQ than FM will give.

Thinking of in ear and/or over the air headphones upgrade

Hello fellow 6p users.. I'm thinking of upgrading either my Xiaomi Piston 3 or my AKG 518 headphones to something at the range of around 100€ .
But given the not so great audio quality of the 6p ,i was wondering if it's actually worth it.
I would be very grateful If you could advise me with some solid choices, I'm thinking at the moment the Momentum Sennheiser, either IEM or Over air.. Something with 3 buttons (play/pause and volume control and inline mic) that actually work.
Over air will not be that good, all the air will distort the audio
on a serious note Im using Shure SE215 with mine. as you know audio on 6p isnt great, Viper Audio is a must if you are serious about audio. Im using a headphone amp as well
Shot in the dark but I have these and loe them. Everyone that listens to them has been impressed with the quality.

I'm not sure if this is on topic enough but I've noticed Bluetooth overall is very subpar and can be prone to interference (frequent cut outs when the phone's in my pocket or if I make a very short trip to the next room). This mainly applies to my headphones which have worked fine on several other devices. Of course this would be one of the only times I keep it in my pocket--when using headphones cutting grass, walking, etc.
I'm using viper. The volume and general sound quality are fine, not great be meets my standards. Only bring it up in case anyone happens to know how to improve it.
M50x for sure. Cant be beaten for the money
Wow,no sleep does bad things when typing,i clearly needed some air..
Back on subject, i would love to get M50x but i can't find a good deal either on Greece (my home country) or in Italy that I'm currently for vacation.. Cheapest i can find them is 150€ , which I'll might have ti spend in order to get a good over the air headset.. How is the build quality of the M50?
Thanks for the Bluetooth one,but i prefer wired headphones..
As for viper4android, i haven't rooted yet but i think i will soon in order to improve audio..

@tagari m50x are greatly built, just bought a pair not too long ago. great set of headphones.
I'm not sure if you can get these in Greece, but they are iem that have a built inline dac/amp. The caveat is that it doesn't use the 3.5mm audio jack. It uses the usb-c port, via an adaptor. I got them for my N5 and now use them with my N6p. Works well and you can boost the volume up to the point that it's uncomfortably loud...

Audio Adapter/USB-C Earphone Recommendations?

Does anyone know a good adapters that is compatible with PH-1?. I won't buy the original one, It's crazy expensive with the shipping fee since I live in Thailand. I lost mine a week ago. now I'm using Airpods (which still have some connections problems)
or if you have a good USB C earphones that would be great too!
It would make my life easier if the product is from AliExpress
I miss my wired connection T_T

I'm also interested in a response for this
This is what I'm planning... Get the USB Type C headphones from OnePlus. (or Xiaomi or any brand)
This is the only middle path I can think of.
The type C to 3.5mm dongles don't work unless they have DAC.
The wireless ones are crazy expensive.
Whatever you buy - MAKE SURE IT HAS DAC.

Xiaomi dongle doesn't work, also Ugreen and every cheap dongle.
You need DAC in the dongle, you can buy Google and maybe OnePlus, I'm not sure about OnePlus
I have the Google USB C Pixel Buds. They sound good for the price and they fit well, although they don't block any outside sounds at all. The Google Assistant function works with the Essential Phone, too.
I have this one from aliexpress, quite decent for the price and works well except for the microphone which never worked for me.
I just got a Google USB-C headphone adapter, and I can confirm that it works perfectly with the Essential phone, too.
if you looking fro headset adapter for essential phone, I have 2 with DAC, am in Manila, Philippines
You know they now sell Bluetooth adapters for headphones?
Now you can take any regular 3.5mm headphones, plug them into an adapter (which is about the size of a regular volume control on Bluetooth headphones) and you have Bluetooth headphones.
ONN (Walmart in house brand) had this adapter for $10. It acts just like a normal Bluetooth headphone in that you charge the adapter, but you can use the adapter with any speaker or headphone you have so it is more convenient.
Basically they all look like this https://m.aliexpress.com/item/40001...4XzpLsTpr1hzjlQzwMbdAtr4y9y8FBGf1567841536673
I can confirm that the Libratone Q Adapt in-ear earphones work perfectly with the Essential Phone. They sound great, and I love the noise cancelling feature.

I bought the wally world adapter 'cause it was in clearance section for $6. It sucks. The audio is horrible. I am comparing it to other bluetooth adapters and 3.5mm port, same earbuds.
I highly recommend the best buy house brand insignia adapter. $30 the battery lasts around 7-8 hrs, and can be used while charging. I cant stress how good the audio is. I havent used it on a set of big cans, but it drives my earbuds loud and clear. Great bass, great mids, and great highs. I mostly listen to audio books, but in between, i'll fire up some dubstep or stoner rock, even brass quintets.
