No no no, I got my mate to invite me on Tuesday night at about midnight and I didn't receive the invitation email until 3pm the next afternoon, 15 hours later...! Just give it some time! Beta is currently closed, but when you get your email, try and it'll let you know what the story is

Mine are gone please read lower posts for invites, i started a chain those i invited are inviting and so on and so forth.
please start with the last post cause these are going fast and people are giving them away fast, just goto the last post and work your way backward and you may get lucky enough to get one, or post your email and update your post once you recieve an invite so an invite isnt waisted on someone who already recieved one​

Anyone still have cleanROM 6.5?

I can't seem to find a copy of it anywhere, the dev-host link is missing the file. I even wrote Scott the developer, but he's moved on and doesn't have it anymore either. I was really hoping to track down a copy of 6.5 if someone is willing to share, I'd be tremendously grateful

Thanks for checking though! Small world, we moved from Richmond down to Charlotte 6 years ago, and we're on our second Jetta TDI (only as some old lady pulled out in front of the first one).
Yeah, I might just have to bite the bullet and upgrade everything. After seeing everyone else's issues with having to upgrade firmware/kernal/hboot/radio/recovery just to get from 4.1.1 to 4.2.2, I was thinking I'd be happy enough just slapping the best 4.1.1 rom I could still find over my rooted and unlocked 3.18 AT&T HOX. But if I can't find one, then it might be a different story
I'll even toss a few bucks towards anyone that might still have cleanROM 6.5 zip sitting around!

hahahah that is funny. I run used motor oil in mine. I wouldn't recommend that on a TDI (turbo direct inject), but on the old indirect injection it'll consume anything that burns at temp under pressure. I rarely pay more than $8 to fill up, and get 330 miles per tank (with the rest being used motor oil.)
Carl makes it pretty simple to get on his TMO rom. Download the rom and the radio/kernel/FW flasher directly below it, and flash them in that order.. I didn't even do the radio and everything and it worked fine for the first 12 hours. then i went back and did the other thing and been fine since.
it's really painless. you do have to be s-off tho

OMG do you really??? I have no idea how to get it from you... But I'd really like to I can make the donation to Scott then in that case, I kinda felt bad asking him for it and then not making a donation to him (even if he couldn't find it anywhere). The zip file is like 670 megs, right? I could setup a box.com account for you to upload it to if you don't have any large file sharing accounts to send it to. You're awesome! I've been emailing Scott about trying to fix his link for a couple of days. I thought yesterday that he said he didn't have 6.5 anymore. But when I wrote him just now about the random donation I just sent to him (as you said donate to him), he said that he found it and would fix his link. I'm sure he's ok with someone on here helping in mean time, so thank you to you sir! That is awesome that you still had the file and were able to jump in and help!

I'm just curious...my gmail app was updated last night and now it's some fancy looking app that I can add different accounts to, looks totally different. At the top it says Inbox. Is this the same thing everyone is looking for an invite for?

You're probably referring to the material update for Gmail. Inbox is a separate app/service that is basically a different way to do email and if you don't know if you have it then you probably don't since you need an invite at this point.
That said, if anyone has an invite, I'd love to give it a try :good:
