See, first of all the matter.
Samsung can NEVER, I repeat, NEVER stop the updates for i9003. If they do so, they should also stop the updates for F!t, Ace, Gio, Galaxy s 4g, Galaxy PLUS and all such things. If you know, Fit, gio,ace and s4G dont even have an GB Arabic Firmware! So, I would never think they would stop putting in the updates!

our devs are busy porting CM9. But it would be great if we can have that value pack update in the meantime while waiting for the CM9 port. It will give us something to play around. I've read somewhere that the i9003 will also get this update won't it?

As I thought it was not released anything today, and may it won't be released not even later. Damn Samsung. I cant understand why for samsung galaxy s i9000 the value pack was released, and for our device nothing.

The new value pack update would be containing TOUCHWIZ 4...

Value pack has been released for Galaxy W as well...
I think we'll be getting it soon enough

I hope too. I heard this value pack is a great stock rom

gosh i hope they fix the gpu performance and atleast switch to ondemand as default governor instead of conservative
almost on all sammy devices ondemand is deafault , and it gives good performnce on stock rom, conservative lags a lot
ofcourse we can root

Possibly, We can be expecting the Value pack in the secon-third week of april!

I think Samsung Confirmed it in one of it's tweets loong back.
They said "I9000 will have TW4."

You ll see that it has TW4..
for another confirmation, you can check out comments on the news about "galaxy S value pack rolling out" on samfirmware.com...., there you will see people mentioning about TW4...

should i buy htc one X

i have tried a lot to find s2 i9100 bt here in india there is only g version available..
so i gave up bt today i see dis htc one x on net.it is a quad core device so it is really fast and has ics out of box.so i want opinions of all of u..so pls guide

Without any dispute, One X is the best phone right now. If you can be patient, wait for the Galaxy S3 to come out. If you can't wait to get your hands on some Quad Core Goodness, Buy The One X immediately.

i have read that it has battery which cannot be reemoved by us like in normal phones...is this be a disadvantage of this phone??

If what you saying is true, it is a certain disadvantage if you use the phone for development and other purposes.What if you mess something up in your phone, and it just hangs ?? You can do nothing then and will have to wait for battery to run out or for the phone to restart itself !!
Seeing, the traditional style in which samsung makes its phones, i don't think that the battery will not be removable in the Galaxy S3. Just my opinion.

Galaxy S2 I9100G getting official Cyanogen Mod support...codeworkx bought the device!!

ya i agree wid you bt many users are facing camera and hanging problems wid g version..also its development is not so vast...wat are ur opinons on this???

The new update solves the freezing issues...and guess what? Codeworkx bought the device last week for cyanogenmod...
Btw there is no harm in getting the current gen phone the HTC ONE X!!

I think he was talking about i9100G. I checked out Saholic.com and they have the i9100 Model at showcase. Don't know if its legit or not, but you can contact them and ask them (i think).
BTW Won't you go for other HTC OR Motorola Phones ?? Like Sensation, XE, Atrix 2, Razr(MY fav.).

1x is only an early release of a quadcore processor there is much more things to come in coming months

I agree. It's just the start of an era involving quad core CPUs and the latest Android firmware devices (these devices have the upgrade guarantee which Google's trying to enforce).
I would strongly recommend waiting to see worthwhile competition from major vendors before making a decision.
Also, I too really dislike not having an expandable memory slot... It's a deal breaker for me!

Since, New update has arrived for new smart phones. Is there any chance that Galaxy R would be getting Jelly Bean Update. It would be awesome if we are one of the latest smart phone updates. I know that we haven't received any update for ICS and still waiting... :crying:
So, anyone put thoughts on this, I have already searched in Google for this but didn't find a single result for this topic.
Later, is there any possible that we would get custom Rom of Jelly Bean for our Galaxy R. I know, I am thinking way long & not possible thing.
But still have hopes something miracles would happen for Galaxy R Owners...

Official update for JB we will not certainly get. But getting it from our dev team. But let us wait first for ics and then we'll talk about JB

May be... Bcoz.. S2 AND NOTE will have it... And our device was launched after these two devices were launched... So fingers crossed....

Jb for R
Ok, we had a similar ICS upgrade thread for Galaxy R, now time for JB... the main reason for delay of ICS might be those of changes are far from GB to ICS, And also might be that of nvidia sources dependency.
Now that, JB is supposed to be incremental upgrade to ICS, Samsung might well look into Galaxy R once it does JB upgrades to flagships like S3, S2, Notes and Tabs.
PS: Might Just in my dreams LOL...

Keep one thing in mind we are having R not S3.
Samsung haven't made millions of dolllars by sellings this device. so probably it won't spend money after building JB for our device which is already dead. Its great that they have kept their promise and gave ICS and sources. With help of this sources I am sure sooner or later our great devs will make JB (we have passed step one, aleast we are having booting CM10). I don't rely on samsung anymore.

True on that. We have ICS, we have the sources and the tegra 2 driver. R is dead, so no official JB for us.
But we have really awesome people around here, so i'm in no doubt that we'll have CM10 eventually. (no more samsung apps or twlauncher crapping our phone)

An incrememtal upgrade will not be a big headache for sammy... That's why Jelly Bean Leaked roms have started to float around... Also. S3 got it OTA.....
I think..we will get it...but...of course much later...after S2, S3, Note, Tabs get updated.....

Galaxy R sure as hell wont receive a JB update from samsung! V havent got official ICS yet (atleast here in India) !
But Devs are working on it! So lets just wait n watch!

how optimistic people we have on r forum's..
we still didn't get the official release of ICS released allover and they are thinking of fficial JB...
