[Q] [dev][request] recovery.

now that we have kernel source. and s has been off for a long time. can someone build a good recovery (CWM or RA based) that works 100% and allows charging when the device is off

I don't know, can people like you stop posting questions in dev section and follow xda rules? Doubtful, there's your answer. Thread has been reported to the Mods.

The dev section is for the following...ROMs, Mods, Tweaks, root methods, kernels, recoveries....this does NOT fall into these options therefore all Doubleshot QUESTIONS get posted in the GENERAL section. It's getting beyond annoying seeing this crap in the dev section. Stop asking when we will get sh*t. When you see it in the dev section then you know its available. If you don't see it then its NOT available. Cyanogen has on rule that these forums should live by...DO NOT ASK FOR ETAs...all your doing is pissing devs like me off to the fullest extent. Koush will release a CWM Recovery when he does. End of story. Take questions to the GENERAL section.

Yeah wrong forum before it gets locked...Install the latest ruu and then accept all ota updates so your on the latest firmware.

In future please create threads in the correct sections.

For those trying to get from 2.3.6 to ICS

Ive been so frustrated trying to find the correct files to do this flash then finally found the golden thread in the general section

everything is straight foward just remember these steps:
Get back to 2.3.5 stock---OTA to 2.3.6----then Flash the blur ICS in this link above follow the steps and then you can finally join the SC7 Crew:highfive:

I posted this in the dev section so itd be easier for people to find jim ure thread is in the general section when imo that should be stickied in the dev portion easier to find all the correct files under one thread

The Dev section is for stuff that people made such as mods Roms and kernels (for phones with unlocked BL's). Jim didn't make the ICS leak he just posted directions on how to install ergo it should be in general.

Questions about rooting sgh-i727 ATT

Hello, i'd like to root my sgh-i727 from ATT with ICS 4.0.4 installed (updated from ginger bread when i got the phone), i have a few questions regarding the root.
-Will i need to re-install ICS after the root?
-Any know issues after the root (like wi-fi not working properly or any other issues)
-If any known issues after the root, what were they? Any solutions to those(if so?)
I read somewhere that after the root (not sure what method was used) the wi-fi stopped working, is that true?
