Hey guy's I am running CWM on my EEPAd and until recently I was running revolver mod pre ICS. I downloaded ROM manager from the market place to get the back-up of the Revolver ROM. After I installed rom manager and started the back-up it froze half way and rebooted my transformer. When the tablet rebooted it went into recovery automatically and I seem to have lost the revolver mod after trying different methods to fix it I did a full format on my SD-card and I still can't get CWM to read the updated files on my sdcard. On a side note CWM only reads what was on the SD card before the update even after i for mated it having nothing on there. And if I try to use a previous recovery I just get a "mD5" dosent match error sign.
I hope you can help.

So just a while ago i tried to download a Cyanogen Mod nightly off Rom Manager for my G2x and I backed up my stock rooted rom of course before going through with the wipes and everything and it seemed to have gone though very quick and when it booted back on all it did to my phone was wipe it and pretty much restore it. Now when I go try to Manage and Restore backups nothing is there! So in other words the Nightly didn't go through for some reason and for another weird reason my Backup I did right before isn't there and showing up either. I know it's there also because I checked under Linda File Manager and it's under my Clockwork Mod file. Any ideas or thoughts?
Try moving the backup from internal SD to external SD its in a file called clockworkmod
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
it's already in that folder. this isn't my first time flashing and backing up before and all but this is the first time I have on the G2x and the first time i've ever encountered a problem like this. is there something i'm supposed to do to make rom manager work completely? i remember i used to boot into recovery a couple weeks back and I wouldn't be able to properly navigate and choose what I wanted but then now when I randomly tried today it worked and i was able to boot into recovery perfectly through rom manager but for some reason my backup won't show up and now I'm a little scared lol
have you not tried search yet. If you did search then you would have found that Rom Manger does not work with the G2X you need to use the recovery flashed from NVflash to do backups. So you have to boot into recovery by holding down vol-d + power. If you have not flash recovery from NVflash then do not do the vol-d + power or you will hard reset your phone.
Hey everybody!
I have some serious issues here.... Today I wanted to flash my TF101G (german version) from the HC to the ICS version of the Revolver Rom. Of course I made a backup as usual before getting to work. I also flashed to the newest version of CWM recovery, as recommended.
Unfortunately it seems that something went wrong.... During start-up the ASUS splashscreen appears but nothing else happens (bootloop?). At first I though that doesn't matter, because I could just restore the previous backup. But when I got into CWM recovery, I had to find out that this new fancy touch crap version is not able to access the external sd-card of my Transformer! So I'm not able to restore anything or install any ZIPs...
Next thing I tried was to flash either the ROM or the recovery (downgrade for sd-card access) via NVFlash. So I installed the driver, got into APX mode, but nothing happens. Well actually not nothing but instead, depending on which batchfiles I use, it either just kicks me out of APX mode (driver is not shown in the devicemanager anymore) or I get the error message "bla bla bla... command send failed (usb write failed)"
And now I ran out of ideas....
Can you still get into clockworkmod recovery touch? If you can try using the ADB from there to 'adb push rom.zip filepath/filepath' to get it onto your Internal SD and then reflash from there. I just use cwm 3.2, it's rock stable and never gives me issues, and after reading all of the issues with new versions and lack of ext SD support I refuse to update.

You 101G is NOT nvflash compatible. You don't have SBK v1.
The only thing you can try is ADB push the necessary files to the internal sd storage.
I couldn't connect my device via ADB before, but after trying a few things it works now.....
But ADB really gave me a hard time! In the beginning I pushed some testfiles. First they were pushed but somehow they did not appear in specific folders on the sd-card in CWM. Others just gave me the message "protocol error".
After restarting the deamon and remounting the sd-card I was finally able to push an older version of CWM and the ROM file. Then I just wanted to restore my old backup via CWM, but I ended up hanging at the ASUS splashscreen again. Only reflashing the ROM itself solved it in the end.

Good to hear you got it working. Just a little FYI for the future.
Nandroid restore does not restore the kernel so next time just flash the ROM before or after the nandroid restore. That should put the correct kernel in place for it to boot up.
Did you try reflashing an earlier kernel? Those backups haven't been designed to store/restore kernel data (for us anyway). I think I had a similar experience, back when I was trying early AOSP ICS.
Hey! Thanks for the heads up, everybody!
I always thought that the nandroid backup restores everything (e.g. ROM, settings, base, kernel, etc.). That explains why the restore after the screwed up update to ICS didn't work anymore and why I got stucked in a bootloop again.
So even that seems not to be the last line of defense if you brick your device....
Hello, I have an ASUS TF101, it was running on android 4.0.3 before i decided to root it and install a custom rom on it. This was my first time and i messed up. After rooting, I downloaded the ROM Manager and installed clockworkmod recovery. Then i downloaded the cyanogenmod rom for my tablet and placed it in the internal sd card. After this i booted the system and went in the Clockworkmod recovery stage where i cleared the cache and made the format of the device. then after 10 minutes sth went wrong and the screen froze. Now i am stuck in the boot when ever i try to turn on the tablet. When i go to the CWM Recovery it does not let me install the custom rom and says the sd card cannot be mounted.
Please help me . I want a solution to this. even if it takes to go back to the stock android I am ready to do that but please tell me how to.
Thanks a lot in advance. Tarun

boot in recovery mode, and then reset to factory.
After being away all summer and having somebody else customize my N8013 to their liking, I decided to just go for a clean start with a new ROM. When installing Android Revolution HD 9.0 I made a mistake and can't seem to fix it.
As best I can recall, this is what happened:
Downloaded Android Revolution HD 9.0
I wasn't sure what AROMA was while following the instructions so before the Install from SD Card step I just started wiping lots of stuff in TWRP.
At some point I realized I had no OS and had deleted the image I put on my SD card to install.
Used ADB to push the image back onto the SD card.
Tried to install but it wouldn't do anything (I think I was missing a data partition at this point...not sure).
Downloaded Prerooted UEALH2
Tried flashing that with ODIN...it would just go into a boot loop as somebody else experienced here.
Tried flashing it repeatedly because the above link said, "keep trying."
At some point I flashed CWM recovery again.
Downloaded and pushed Redemption Rom(Nocturnalized)v6.1 onto my SD card via ADB.
Installed via AROMA, it rebooted, it played some music and just sat on a blank screen.
Flashed UEALH2 via ODIN again, it rebooted, played some music and is now stuck on a boot animation of SAMSUNG with blue flashing on and off behind it.
Waited ~10-15 minutes on the SAMSUNG boot animation.
Downloaded latest .tar from TWRP and flashed via ODIN because CWM was gone.
Downloaded Redemption Rom(Nocturnalized)v6.1 again as suggested here and verified MD5 hash.
Pushed Redemption Rom(Nocturnalized)v6.1 via ADB onto SD card again.
TWRP as acting wonky...not responding to touch very well.
Installed Redemption Rom(Nocturnalized)v6.1 again.
It rebooted, played some music, and sat on a blank screen...
I seriously spent all of my free time yesterday and an hour this morning on this. If somebody could suggest a fix-all solution that'll bring me back to a usable, stock state I would be very appreciative. And provide a link to whatever you're suggesting? In my searches yesterday I saw a number of broken links and references to things that either didn't exist any more or I couldn't find =\

Try the following :
1. Flash a stock rom from sammobile.com through odin.
2. Probably you will get a bootloop after rebooting.
3. Flash Philz Recovery through odin. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2202714
4. Get into CWM , wipe data, cache & dalvik & reboot.

Without knowing exactly what you deleted it could be hard to figure out.
If you can still get into odin mode, have you try to flash back to a stock firmware? How to directions here. http://rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-note-10-1-2/how-to-unrootunbrick-galaxy-note-10-1-factory-firmware/ The video within the link can be helpful to review the steps before and durning the flash process.

It's working better, now. Both of your suggestions ended up at the same files. Before I tried the oldest, N8013UEALI3, because it was most familiar, and it didn't work. The most recent, N8013UEUCMD3, did the trick.
Anyway, what's the difference between the back of my Note 10.1 Wifi saying GT-N8013EA and these files? How are they named? The listed carrier for them says
Hi guys!!! It's been years since I was last here, I suddenly decided to upgrade my GT S7500 to custom firmware but I have a problem.
While I was at work today, I decided to play with my phone, to make recovery through ClockWorkMod, since I was goin to flash a custom FW through CWM later at home.
My GTS7500 is running a semi-custom ROM, I have changed it years ago and cant remember the exact changes but it's almost same as the vanilla ROM, with minor bugfixes.
I haven't booted CWM in years so I can't remember doing anything or having any problems in the past.
So I unlocked my phone and clicked the CWM Mod icon, the app starter and then I selected to 'Boot into CWM"
My phone rebooted and I am now into CWM.
I haven't done anything, but I am stuck in the recovery.
I screwed around holding some buttons and stuff, and I managed to get to ODIN (as far as I remember this is the screen to flash firmware through USB) but this didn't help me.
I tried removing the battery for hours and it didn't help.
I have my ROM backup on my microSD flash card, from 2012.
What should I do?
Should I select "Restore Boot" from the CWM recovery?
Or should I attempt to flash the new custom ROM straight ahead?
The screen says: CWM-Based Recovery v5.0.2.8
Thanx in advance!
HI guys a quick update: I managed to mount the storage of the phone and microSD to my PC through USB from withing the CWM recovery menu, I am backing up all the data on my laptop.
I found a file called 'exitrecovery.zip' on my microSD card, may be this is the fix I need? May be I got the same problem years ago when I reflashed the stock FW but I cant remember? Thanx again for all suggestions!
PS: I only managed to 'mount' the micro SD card from within CWM Recovery, for some reason I cant mount the internal phone storage, which is bad since I need to recover my contacts and phone numbers!
FIXED IT!!!
Seems like the CWM Recovery was not installed properly!!!
I installed this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2359572
Through my current CWM recovery and now it seems to be working fine!!!
Thanx to this DEV!!!
PLEASE RECOMMEND ME A GOOD ROM!!!! WITH LESS BLOATWARE AND FASTER EXPERIENCE!!!
TOGO FLASH PEGASUS or ACECPLUS or INSPIRATION???
Which one is best?
Which aps to install?
Thanx in advance for all reading this!
