Was going to post this in the development forum of the EaglesBlood thread but don't have enough posts.
Is it just me or does every CM9 ROM for the G2x have broken headset control. The remote on the wired headset won't respond to my button presses. I even installed Headset Button Controller and that didn't work either. I have tried both HellFireSandwich and EaglesBlood.
Another problem either with EaglesBlood only or all of them is when you use voice search to set your alarm as in saying "set alarm for 9 PM" it will make an alarm and it would be checked too but it won't "enable" If you go into the stock alarm clock app it will even be checked but if you were to look at your lock screen which shows your next alarm it won't show there and it won't go off at the specified time. If you were to however say it then go to the stock alarm clock app and uncheck and check it back on it will register and the lockscreen will say the right time and it will actually go off.
Don't worry.. you are not the only one
I have exactly same problem
yep, same problem with headphone control. Although setting the alarm with voice control seems to be working on the AOKP builds.

I had alarm and reminder issue for a long time with WM6.1.
if the phone is in stand-by mode, the alarm will not wake up, nor does reminders. I tried menmaid, doesn't help, my notification queue is not long at all. Then I had to do a master-reset to get my alarm work again.
But just yesterday, I found if I turn off the "voice commend" feature on my phone, the alarm again would not work from standby mode. But if I enabled the "voice commend" feature, the alarm started to work properly again.
Not sure if this will work for others if they had the same alarm and notification issue. But it worths a try if Menmaid or other ways on internet turns out not help.
To many to chose from, which do yall recommend? I would like one to be able to play music of my choosing and work when my phone is on silent.
Klaxon is by far the best alarm clock I've used.
i use Smart Alarm Clock, it uses the accelerometer to track your sleeping pattern,
and then chooses the right moment from a specified time window.
the downside is that the screen has to be on, though it's black and i have it facing down, under my pillow (with a charging cable connected)
We have just reviewed a good alarm clock application.
Alarm Clock PlusV2 Review
Gentle Alarm works 100% of the time and has a "light sleep" pre-alarm that'll wake you if you're in a light sleep, otherwise the normal alarm will wake you. It has a nice "captcha" option to verify you're awake before ending an alarm, lots of options for each alarm, how quiet it is when it starts, how fast it ramps up, etc... Never failed me.
Been using the alarm function with no problems.......until recently! I woke up half an hour late for work the other day, went to check my phone wondering why the alarm hadn't gone off but the screen was flashing "SNOOZE " & "DISMISS" So the alarm was working but the sounds weren't and i had turned off the vibrate option because I hate that sound it makes.
I go into the alarm sound menu and none of them play, I go into the ringtones and they work fine. Same with message tones and music.
The sound options were all set correctly, alarm volume set to max. Silent mode wasn't the problem.
After a reboot the alarm sounds played again.
Anyone else had this problem?

Just had the exact same thing happen to me this morning. This is the second time it has happened. I had also received an SMS before my alarm was supposed to go off, and it vibrated instead of playing my notification sound (even though I did not have it on vibrate only mode). Very, very annoying. Bring on root+CM7!!!
If you have any task killers, remove them.
I know many of the task killers will do this to your clock.
Thanks pr0x2, but I am running only the stock Sense task killer.
The problem may with the ringer. otherwise, go to settings, find sound and select volume. you may have set the specific volume to min. increase the alarm volume in that try.
I have the settings on my Gear S3 set as "Sound mode: Sound", and "Vibrate with sound" is switched OFF. However, whenever my morning alarm beeps to wake me up, it definitely still vibrates making an annoying buzzy sound on my bedside table! Does anyone know if I'm stuck with this vibrate for alarms, or is there a way to definitely remove the vibrate feature from the alarms?
Secondly, it would be great if I could dismiss an alarm with a voice command rather than having to do so by sliding my finger across the screem. Anyone know if there's a way (or and add-on app) that will allow me to dismiss an alarm with my voice? (S-Voice does not ofer such an option at present as far as I've found - or maybe I just need to use the correct verbal command?)
Guys, help me out here.
If you set an alarm, and set it to some volume.
Now press volume rocker and turn your alarms to muted.
Now wait for your alarm to go off. For me, it completely ignores the global setting and sets the alarm volume back to whatever it was set up with in the alarm app.
My phone alarm went off even when muted in a cinema cause of this.... Is this a bug with my android install? Or can anyone else verify this?
Running nougat UK version.
Slide down your notification tab and look for "Do not disturb". You have the option for total silence or alarms only or priority only. Hope that helps
