What's your launcher of choice - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

As I have said before my launcher of choice is dxhome, but I have also actually really like tsf shell after I convinced myself to "shell" (haha) out the 16 bucks.
Please guys keep it friendly and respect everyone's opinion
edit 11/26/12: i am now using either trebuchet, miui stock, apex, or nova. theyre all pretty nice, i also heard launcher pro got updated and that its pretty nice now too

Currently GoLauncher. Mainly because it stays out of the way while giving me nice features like good folders and the ability to theme it well. Was a big fan and supporter of Launcher Pro but that's dead so there is that
http://db.tt/UOHDL0UU
http://db.tt/qSRe3GZQ
http://db.tt/NNIYkGiu
http://db.tt/BRLF70VZ

id say, if you like pretty decent themes, and not wanting to pay $ then id use GoLauncher, i personally use it and when i feel like something different i use Launcher7. its ok, but it gets old

LauncherPro is still my favorite... tried just about everything else. BTW... got a reply from LauncherPro support yesterday... they said Developer is doing a complete rewrite which will be released shortly... so not dead yet!

I was surprised I even got a reply so quickly... it was a case ticket and they sent a link to case response. From Leticia Almeida, LauncherPro Support, http://www.launcherpro.com, dated 3/19/2012. Open a case... I'm curious to see if you get a similar response.

I think I will, becuz supports been dead for a year, I just assumed it would ultimately die. I guess with all the continued support and the fact that it really is still one of the top 3 selling launchers, he got some motivation. One can only hope

He's been rewriting it, allegedly, for almost a year. But if it's true this time, it's great news. I do really like LP but it really started getting behind on features.
Thanks for the tip though

I started with Launcher Pro... Then it died so I moved to ADW ex. Love it! Tried GoLauncher, but wasn't impressed by the low quality feel it has. Got to try out TSF a week ago.... Thought it was very cool, but not for me.

I've tried LP, ADW EX, Go launcher, SPB Shell, and TSF shell (and a couple others). Right now, I'm with Go Launcher mainly because of the options along with it.

Launcher Pro - it just works.

Adw ex got it for 10cents I love it.

Has anyone tried the new Xperia S Launcher? I can't get the APK to install at all - any thoughts?
Currently I use TSF Shell and its crazy smooth but lacking the live wallpaper support and resizeable widgets

just tried out 360 launcher pretty cool i'll use it for the next couple of days to see how i like it. my first impression is that its pretty smooth but in my opinion it is just a tiny bit slower than dxhome but i will use it for a while to see if it speeds up once the cache is built up

This theme is based on a concept by Jedipottsy(link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=699497) that was totally left up to your interpretation. This is mine. The concept was based off a set of icons called Token, which are the ones in my dock and throughout the theme. I didnt make them so Im not gonna post them, but here's the link:http://brsev.deviantart.com/art/Token-128429570
Biggest thanks go to Jedipottsy and brsev for the concept, and of course Darchstar for the ROM. Also a thanks to JAguirre1231 for some cleanup assistance. And thanks to all those who support the things that I do, i appreciate it and is the reason I continue doing them.
You can see in the various screenshots there are two versions of this theme, one with the standard battery and one with a circle battery mod. Just flash whichever version you'd like, theyre both complete zips.
-All the .apks were taken out of the latest nightlies, and gapps. .
I will no longer be continuing devlopment or updates for this theme. I have moved to the EVO. thank you all very much for all of your support! Its much appreciated.

I was wondering one thing, in one of the screen shots from a previous thread, the icons on the dock were just words. Could you point in the right direction for that look? I looked to see if maybe Launcher Pro had some icons like that but nothing there.

[THEME] [WIP] "Sense by Cubanaso"

Ok, here we go. On my Nexus One, Desire ports were my rom of choice. I don't really like the stock Sense UI, so I went through a few themes. The flashier, the better, right?
Then I came across this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778503
Blew. My. Mind.
So, with cubanaso's permission, I'm beginning the effort to port these AMAZING themes to our beloved device. Starting with OBsensed, and hopefully continuing on to the others, as time and skill permits (college student, very first theme ).
This theme is considered a WIP, as it is not complete (yet). Hopefully some crafty individuals can help with the completeness

Dude, AOSP is what I love (CyanogenMod!) but this is a slick theme. Once you get the Sense theme up and running you should consider expanding to AOSP, you've definitely piqued my interest (<3 the lockscreen/pull down bar)

Man I'm not even a fan of Sense but I would rock one of these themes especially if it were built on Lou's Redemptive. I have only used his Sense roms in the past and have got brilliant performance and support from this dev. Anyway looks amazing good luck with this port. I will be keeping an eye on the progress. As far as the battery make sure you get all the images and xmls ported. Again looks great.

Hey, I ported Cubanaso's Tron sense theme for the Evo and had problems with the notification icons as well. The USB debugging icon is in /system/app/pcscii.apk. Took me forever to find it. The battery icons will need edited. You'll have to open them up individually and make the background transparent. Same thing for the signal bars. As for the favorites widget, I'd imagine its an image in the apk but I'm not 100% sure. Hopefully you get this worked out. If you need help PM me and I'll do what I can to help you out with it. Cubanaso's themes are the best!

It was released on the market. Its $15 though... Still has wm pricing too.

Still trying to decide whether to buy it.

Blah.
Looks impressive!
What is even more impressive is that guys ability to keep his left hand so steady.
Not paying $15 for it though.
EDIT: Why not actually. I live with my parents and pay no rent. I'll give it a try and let you guys know what I think of it.
i tried it, wasnt very impressed. after fiddling with it for about two hours i went back to adw launcher ex.
This app is quite pretty, great weather widget with animation, cool picasa widget, just a ton of nice custom widgets but it does leave a few things to be desired. Wish it had scrollable widgets above all, and it would be nice if you could arrange icons how you see fit ( it auto aligns toward the top, you can't put empty spaces between icons or widgets) hopefully the devs will provide quick updates because I could definitely see this being great.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I'm not sure I can spend $15 on this. Most reviewers comment on the performance issues. It looks great, but I'll wait and see if they're able to increase the performance.
I'm running it right now on my CM7 DInc and it runs pretty smooth Its only hiccuped a few times, but I've never had any problems. I actually get better battery life with it than LPP or ADW EX. The launcher with the best battery life would have to be Launcher7.
I am running a cracked version of spb and it's working perfectly absolutely zero performance problems... also there is no need to pay 15 get it free

Technically. However, to play devil's advocate, $15 for any app except maybe office software is ridiculous. Especially for a launcher.

No, it's not 'technically' illegal, it is definitely illegal.
Justifying pirating software because you happen to think the cost to high is just wrong. If you think the cost is too high, don't buy it, but that doesn't give you the right to just take it.
i used this app, its quite great but not better than go launcher ^__^

[APP] nds4droid

Note: I am not the developer of this app.
Description
nds4droid is the first Nintendo DS emulator for high-end Android phones (1ghz+ recommended).
REQUIRES A HIGH END ANDROID DEVICE (such as Nexus S, Galaxy S). If the framerate is slow, it's because your phone is not smart enough. This is a very heavy emulator!
Current features:
- On-screen interface
- ROM loading
- Save states
- APP to SD
DUE TO PERFORMANCE REASONS SOUND IS CURRENTLY DISABLED (would crack). Sound will be enabled for certain devices in the near future.
This emulator it's far from perfect and will be getting a lot of updates over the next couple of weeks/months. Please know this when you purchase.
Please send any feedback/comments to [email protected] - I appreciate it!

From what I've read, this is so early in beta it should almost be considered alpha.
I've tried running Pokemon Diamond on my Dinc running IncROM 1.5beta2 and no luck. Currently flashing a backup of CM7 Nightly 32 to see if it can do any better.
EDIT: CM7 Nightly 32 also doesn't run Pokemon Diamond. Updating to Nightly 34, although performance is unlikely to change.
Does Pokemon Heart Gold work on this emulator? Either way, I'll buy this once it gets updated to a more stable version.
Can it be installed HTC G2?
Yes, but wait for the app to be update coa right now its very slow and buggy.

Whoa. Ten dollars for a beta. That's a little excessive. Going to wait for a stable release. Almost sounds like a scam. Lol.

Well, it is not a scam, but it is far from being worth $10.
I am trying it right now.
First i tried Fire Emblem, but all i got was a white screen.
I decided to get a lighter ROM and tried Space Invaders Extreme 2.
I am looking at it right now, and i have the top intro screen.
It took a few minutes to load from the "saving game" warning into the intro.
The buttons don't seem to be working at all, and the touch screen is just black.
In any case, it is an emulator, not a scam.
Albeit a very buggy one that should be available for free if the coder wants to get some serious input to advance this project.
There aren't even any settings on this thing.
Too much of a rush to make a quick buck, imo.
ETA:
Friggin Launcher Pro is closing on me now, and i don't seem to be able to get back on TW...

Opinions on current jvb ROMS

Ive been hooked on MIUI for the past month and love the ui and ROM but I've been thinking about trying out a new jvb rom. I just want to know what peoples thoughts are on perception 2, gr-x, and continuum v5. That being said I know there is no best rom. I am just asking what everyone's favorite aspects/features are of each rom. And please don't say to flash them and find what works for me. I wont be able to flash for a week and have and opinion formulated.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using XDA Premium App
Read the features of each and decide for yourself. They are all fast and smooth.
So your choice comes down to which dev you like most basically!
Samsung Galaxy S i896 on Cezar's Continuum v5 GingerBread
gr-11 is fast beautiful and polishd but support for flac and maybe other codecs is missing, still trying to isolate the missing files. perception is very quick but the talon kernel breaks my gps. this is not typical. then there is c5 which is great all around but gr-11 has much cleaner and better looking implimentation of tw4. then there is subpression, i havent tried the v2 if this yet but it is very light and my sd card wouldnt mount to linux when i tried it. subpression also has touchwiz4 but on v1 which i tried it was that one with the ugly glass bubble icon and very slow.
At the moment I'm on GR-11. Great battery life, really stable.
It really depends on what you're looking for in a rom, though. MIUI and CM7 are going to give you a really custom experience, obviously. GR-X is going a fairly vanilla experience relatively.

ya i've only heard good stuff about gr-11, even DG has said its the best jvb rom out there. and i completely agree about miui and cm7. ive been on both and they're great but i can only stay on one rom for so long before wanting to test something else out.
not sure if we can but it would be sick if we could combine some of continuum's themes with gr-11. from what ive seen theyre sick.
and what to you guys think of tw 4.0? i find it kinda weird that everyone is so interested in it when almost everyone hated tw 3. maybe its just the latest and greatest and will pass over eventually
i like the stock implimentation of tw4. i also like tw3 so take that for what it is. the themed tw4 that is floating around is too slow and the icons dont match and features dont work. in gr11 tw4 (that's the stock one) is great, good looking and no slower than tw3 with the addition of support folders in the app drawer and easier editing with a way to pull icons into a blank page @ the bottom of the screen. also it has a widget picker similar to the way miui is implimented.
Im on Continuum and Im loving it. Im gonna wait another day or two for Phoenix to release something before trying Perception though
Just installed GR-11 and I gotta say I'm impressed. I know Quadrant scores don't mean much but check out the cpu score. This is on xcal kernel (the one that comes with GR) on RFS
