A few months ago my brother's Samsung Infuse 4G "stopped working" and he went ahead and bought an iPhone 4. I'm now in possession of it and I can't get it to boot. I stuck it's battery in my Samsung Galaxy Note and the battery seemed fine so... Anyways Here's what it does when you try to turn it on: youtu.be/xNpmvbVpMJk
I'm really not sure what my brother did to it and he probably won't tell me...
Any ideas guys?
Well I just flashed it to stock firmware using download mode and upon rebooting it, it does the exact same thing...
Well now it's being iffy and SOMETIMES booting, but only with the USB cable plugged in.
Try this and click the flash boot loader check box should fix it

There's still time to send it into Samsung, the infuse hasn't been out for a year yet so the manufacturers warranty should still be valid.

Sounds broken.. I think that you should sell it..
No.. it's easily fixable.. but I really do think that you should sell it.. there's a couple of devs that are interested in getting their hands on the phone..

Wow....the op redefines idiot. Tries to root a device, fails, waits less than an hour for someone to tell him how to get out of it which he could easily find for himself by searching, then declares in a temper tantrum that he is returning the device (after voiding his warrenty already).
I hope he gets an ipad...they are made for one another.

Your a funny guy BRO that would might work but I cant get any of my PCs to recognize my phone so Im not rooted.Thats why Im looking for a good trust worthy pay site to order one thanks for ya help though
Have you already downloaded the SG4G drivers on all of your PCs? It would be odd that not even one of them worked. You're best bet to getting your phone unlocked, other than from at home, is to call T-mobile and ask them for the code. I heard they will be hesitant to give it to you if you haven't owned the phone for at least 3 months though.
As for myself, I don't know any sites that do this, sorry.
Yes Ive tried drivers some reason nothing works I must be getting the wrong drivers I dont get it.
Try uninstalling the drivers, reinstalling them, then rebooting your phone and PC.

Also, did the guy from craigslist give you a generic USB cord or the official Samsung one? Not all of the generic USB cord provide syncing features, so they just charge the phone.

When i plug the phone into the pc the phone just charges thats it.Not sure if its the right cord or not.
I ended up finding a unlocker the guys actually called me to make sure what phone I had now Im running with AT&T go phone.I left tmobile because of the service was just awful in the area that I had to move to.Now I can make calls and text with full bars.
I really want to get this phone rooted so I can try out some roms.I sure miss the G2x was fun testing all the different ones it had
you have to buy a new USB plug! Went tthrough the same problem on my old vibrant I thought I bricked it because it wouldn't turn on,I sent it in and tthey fixed it and sent it back.. still undergoing the same problem I asked a friend for help. He said maybe it was the wire And tthat's exactly what it was. It is most likely without a doubt the wrong wire. Buy a new one!

My original cable got hosed (dropped it in a parking lot...D'oh!) and I bought a new T-Mobile branded one from the T-Mobile store. Was $14 or so, which I felt was robbery, but it works like a champ. I've had no problems flashing ROMs or anything with it.
I just looked the cord over man Im dumb and feel really stupid right now lol Its a LG cord. They say when you hit 40 ya go blind
Honestly, one wouldn't think the brand would matter. And no 40 jokes...hittin' 41 tomorrow

I was flashing via Odin and made a mistake. Nope nothing black screen, no download mode, but CPU does pick it up as a device but nothing with storage it shows under the printer section of devices. I'm going to try this first before I spend $50 for the unbrick USB jig. If that doesn't work then I will try to send it in. I am using my wife's old tmo galaxy s2 but it lags and no lte. Forgot to mention that we can flash roms for the T-Mobile galaxy s2 since they are so similar. And a lot of their devs usually bring some of their stuff to our phone blindly developing it so we really have a lot of developers.

Skyrocket is a great phone, but I would get the SIII in a few weeks. Superior phone, and will probably have a ton of DEV support.

I LOVE this phone. No problems. Seriously, it's a great piece of hardware. I think by time my contract comes up next year, it still will feel fresh.
Add me to the list of those who recently "upgraded" from Moto Atrix to S2SR. Atrix was a good phone, but it had a serious restart/reboot problem no matter if I was on a call, texting, listening to music or watching movies/videos. I eventually sold it a month or two ago for a used SR with Otterbox Defender case. Cost of SR - profit from Atrix = $110 out of pocket. I'd say that was worth it...haha!
Anyway, for the S2SR, my only complaint is how often I lose bluetooth and wi-fi (at home) or 4G for data. I'm constantly re-connecting to my headset or checking the "Use Packet Data" box in Mobile Network. I keep a Settings shortcut on my home screen because I lose connection daily...gets annoying.
So do you guys use ODIN frequently? What is a modem? Where does unlocking the boot loader come into place? For the atrix, ODIN is RSD and we usually never use it, its either fast boot or cwm. and we just have kernals and roms and basebands when needed. Sorry for all the questions. I don't want to brick it when I get it

I have the i727 and I am pleased with it. If I was to get a phone today and money is not a concern, I would get a NOTE. Tomorrow I would get a SIII. You can get a i727 today for FREE w/plan. How much do you want to spend?
Was running cm10 4.1.1 with butter from last month's build. Running great.... but then phone turned off while in idle one time and won't restart. Won't even bring to Samsung screen or when plugged into computer.. no download mode. No cwm boot as well. I've tried pulling the battery and even putting in my spare one.. no luck. However, sometimes when I do just try to power up normally my keys light up and give the vibration when touched. Which provides some hope
Never had a brick like this before. I'm sure there's software to run... just not sure since no download mode.
Thanks

So I recently got my jig, didn't feel like sacrificing a cable. I'm sad to say that when plugged in (and yes it is plugged in correctly) there is no response from my phone. The download screen does not appear. Just remains blank.. I tried the same jig on my friend's gs2 for us cellular and worked there. Is my phone so messed up that the jig will not be recognized?
Also, the jig I ordered has been reported to work fine on the infuse.
