great kernel ,XE flash sucessfully!now check it and report late.

Hey thanks for sharing this with us
Can i ask something ? well, it's supposed to be for AOSP ROM no ?
So, can you make the same kernel without the bluetooth patch, so we have a Sense/MIUI kernel too ?
Thanks anyway, nice to have some kernel dev here

until now it's for both; but future versions will be aosp / cm optimized; is BT patch causing problems on sense builds?? can you test/ report pls? i hate sense

Will test it tonight, at work now and i need my phone lol
Btw, i hate Sense too ! But i'm on MIUI wich, at the start, is based on a Sense ROM (to have all fully working) so i guess (and i'm pretty sure of it) that we must flash Sense Kernel on MIUI V4 for our Sensation
Anyway, will give you a feedback tonight

Good job well done

has anyone tried this kernel on any of the numerous Sense 4.0 ports? namely OrDroid 1.6.1?
If so, will it fix the Bluetooth issues where it won't enable?

no it won't

just installed this on latest build of opensensation. boots up fine, runs fine. havent tested bluetooth.
seadersn: do we have the option to enable CONFIG_KALLSYMS_ALL in this kernel?
if so, we can bring this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1556186 awesome mod to our device

watched the Video.
Nice feature...
but i think you've to ask people like show-p for those features because this will be a mostly stock kernel with additional modules like the op says...

hmm... looks nice let me think about it but faux / show-p kernels should be the better place for this, jip

Really a great job, I was wondering one thing, I am using the endo sense 4.0 build 5 to be precise, and I noticed that 'the only one that reaches 75 fps which of her and' already staggering, with more in the Undervolt that you have packaged is really amazing. So I wondered, why not the other estrappolano files pertaining to the 4-5 fps, gpu drivers Aderno second relase, this Undervolt and create a nice rom 1000 to make it to 100? Maybe the calls ULKIKA in my honor .....

Nice, will follow this because i use CM9
Btw, lagfree seems not to be the best battery life saver no ?

nope, absolutely not but it lasts long enough with the chichitec / anker battery, for me

Well, i will use ondemand so, always worked the best for me.
If i can help you, i'm glad to, like teste or what you want
Btw, for a good battery saving, you can add a governor that has a screen off profil built in.
540Mhz-192Mhz should do the trick, not to low for the Sensation (no lock up) and saves battery life a lot
Yes you can do it with third app, but the app need time to change profil and eat RAM memory all the time

not really, if its usable for daily+the speed. theres no reason not to do so.
looks nice, perhaps flashing in 2 days, cos i want to test my friend rom first...
i think the 1.6 version for 192MB of RAM is the best choice, but the 2.1 are cool too.
Maybe i try to cook a 2.1 version. but not now.
I would try it, but I don`t like the RAM Hack one bit I`m a gammrer.. so if you think on releasing a version without it will def. try it .

so far i can say this rom is really quick and stable i have had the phone last 12 hours with normal use 4 hours it was just sitting there the rest of the time was with music and texting and 2 1 and half hour phone calls also 3g was on. so far i have only had 2 FC in the music app aside from that in the zeam lancher the text message preview in the bar dont show because the text is black and you cant see it on the black bar also aside from that zeam is really great i like it alot and its quick
over all this rom runs great ^_^
thx so much man, if you want i can make a default theme of android for you.

[ROM] Desired AOSP RC1 [9th May] - 75MB of pure Google love - NOT CM7 based

Desired AOSP
Features:
-True AOSP experience as Google intended it (NOT based on CM7)
-MDJ's V14 2.6.35.13 kernel (huge thanks to him for all of his work on this)
-Rooted
-Busybox
-Fully deodexed and zipaligned
-Png optimized framework
-Nexus S boot animation, live wallpaper, ringtones, and notification sounds
-A few basic Google apps are included: Car Home, Gmail, Maps, Search, Talk, Voice Search, and YouTube
-English and Spanish languages only for now
----Full wipe required----
update-desired-aosp-RC1-full.zip (75MB)
Tips:
1. It won't feel super smooth for the first few minutes because it's indexing your media and (if you log in to your Google account) pulling down backed up data. After it finishes that though...
2. For quicker GPS locks, you may want to go to Settings > "Location & security" and enable "Use wireless networks."
3. If you want to overclock, 1.38GHz with interactive gov is working great for me. I don't recommend going above 1.5GHz.
4. If you want to try another kernel, you'll DEFINITELY want to make a backup first! CM7 kernels probably won't work. Some Gingerbread Sense kernels will work.
5. If the power control widget is acting a little odd after flashing, try rebooting.
Rules of Desired AOSP:
1. Do NOT ask for CM7 features! If you want CM7 features, run CM7.
2. I might add a few addons at some point, but don't ask me to include more features than are already there. This ROM is for people who want a completely stock Android experience as Google intended it.
I do this for fun so you shouldn't feel any obligation to donate, but here's a link if you want to. Donations of any amount are very much appreciated.

Hi,
Thanks for that info.
As far as I know, the main problem with battery drain comes from a special DSP chip, which library is not included in AOSP. That´s why some weeks ago CM7 drain was crazy (this chip was always ON) and Sense based ROMs drain was better (this chip was ON only when needed).
If someone has tested this ROM, a feedback would be appreciated. If no feedback I hope on Sunday I could inform you.

I will respond back shortly with the results or flashing this to the CM7 31 build.

Cool. So it must actually be a matter of having fast enough sd card. Interesting. Would love to see some video, btw
@jnichols959
No, I actually mean 15. But maybe they fixed it, I dunno.
Anyone know if this works on the leaked GB g2x Rom or if it even could? It has the AOSP camera and just not real nice for what the phone can do.
So apparently the video I shot earlier was only 720p.
I reapplied the mod with the latest cm nightly and re-shot another vid @1088p. It gets 15fps from start to finish (it's about 40 secs long). It doesn't get choppy, it just has a slow frame rate. I used the "high" mod, btw.

Some ICS Screen Shots

I'm on ARHD 5.0.1, and here are some screen shots if anyone want to have a look before they flash.
Overall I say wait, don't flash yet. Even thou everything seems to be working, still needs tweaking a bit to be used as a daily driver. If you want to flash, then I recommend mike's ARHD, to me it seems to be smoother and pretty stable.

Have you tried flashing CTDroid's tweaks and Jeff's TraBar (Transparent Taskbar)?
I'm really hoping they'll work with ICS. I'd hate to go back to having the normal battery indicator instead of my handy % sign, and a glossy, windows vista-looking taskbar.

No I didn't flash any tweaks, it's the official ICS launcher. I flashed the apk pack (which can be found on different ROM threads, ARHD for one as it's where i got mine from.) which gives me a few default ICS apps (Music, launcher... )
+1 for the battery % sign, but i've got a app which tell me the battery % on the notification bar

Did you guys try the Motion Gestures in Xposed? You need to install the Xposed framework, then get the Sense 6 Mod Toolbox module from inside Xposed. Now you can set up sweep gestures to to wake your device or do tons of other stuff! Once you set them up in the Toolbox you need to reboot once. It's way better than the old s2w stuff I think.
I have mine set up to

Swipe up launches google search

nope. this kernel brings additional features which the stock kernel in liberty rom doen't have. Its upto you. If u use this kernel and find some unstability, u can get back to orignal by flashing boot_evita.img from original zip.
Bilal this is really a wonderful job you did here this rom is amazing thanks a lot for this hard work although you dont have the device
I just have some thing that bothers me using this kernel (although I had it before I flashed this kernel in the sense 6 rom) and it is the battery ... it doesnt get out of control no in fact its really good , but once charging it goes really slow ! I used the extreme power saver while charging and it is almost charging like normal phones *almost* with the extreme mode on... and some times when I am using some small apps like internet or whatsapp it either goes really slow (1% per 20 minutes) or just gets lower (even when charging) or just gets stuck ...
I really hope you can fix this I dont wanna ask to much cause what you did here is perfect enough I just wanted you to know
oh and wifi is pretty good with me after I wiped cache and dalvik' but I cant seem to find wifi hot spot ?
thanks for your support

I'll go through source code and see if I can find something. I doubt its due to I upgraded battery drivers to 4.4.3.
