Cloud storage- Dropbox - HTC Sensation

For HTC One Series, there is more space(23 GB) for Dropbox users.
Are you looking forward what kind of function support on HTC one device or combine with witch kind of application?
Anyone share comment?

Well my hope is that the devs can emulate the One series within the Roms and then we can get the extra space on our phones as well

I Think someone provided a patched Apk for the extra storage in the ARHD Thread

I got update for drop box after I eat

DB announced they were removing the extra 23gb from accounts where the hacked apk was used, how they know im not sure, but watch out because your data could be lost.

There is a bulk upload option. You can't select folders themselves that I know of, you can only select a ton of individual files and upload them to a specific folder on the server. I uploaded 672 pictures last night to my 50GB account with only a few clicks. Too bad you can't have any files over 100MB with the free account :-(
See the screenshot I attached for bulk upload info.

Yes, that is correct, it is good for 2 years. and if you already have an account with DB it adds to it. So I had free 2gb, now I am at 25GB of free storage..... I also have 2 Box accounts at 50GB each and 10GB at 4shared, and a second DB account now at 25GB as well........ yeah I know dont say it.... thats.....a.... lot...
So after doing that can we uninstall it and reinstall the market version or will that get rid of the extra 23gb?

OK.... its easy. If you have DB installed on your phonje. Go to you settings/manage apps/ and select DropBox. Then select clear cache and data, then uninstall. then install the DB apk I have in the first post, then sign in to your DB account with it, then in around 5-30 minutes you will get an email from DB saying Thank you for buying a HTC One X and letting you know that you now have 23+ additional GB in storage.... I mean I had it at 25gb before because I used the apks about 2 weeks ago or whenever I made this thread, but now its back at 2gb, and i tried the apks and no reply, no 23gb gain in my DB accounts......perhaps they have flagged me....oh well....

If it matters, I've had the market Dropbox before but uninstalled it last week, installed it again last night before trying this, didn't have no data to clear so I just uninstalled it again normally and then installed this HTC one and logged in. That was at about 1:30 last night/this morning. Plus I had Dropbox signed in on ES File Explorer the whole time.

Dropbox is about to remove illegitimate 23GB free space

Users who installed any Sense 4 ROM would also have a chance to get free 23GB extra space from HTC One promotions, but looks like this illegitimate method of getting free 23GB has been caught by the Dropbox itself.
So I think I should get my files on Dropbox as soon as possible before they deleted it because 23GB free space I've got is the illegitimate method by using ported Sense 4 ROM.
Official statement from Dropbox support:
The official Dropbox 23GB HTC promotion will not start until sometime early this month, when the devices are released. To earn the extra 23GB of extra Dropbox space you will need to link your HTC Sense 4.0 device to your Dropbox account and complete “Get Started.”
The method to earn 23GB that is being circulated on the XDA Developers forum and on other blogs and forums is illegitimate. We plan to remove any space received using this method.
Downloading apps from unknown sources is not a good idea, as they might have been modified to include malicious code. We strongly recommend that you only install the Android Dropbox app via Google Play (formerly known as the the Android Market) or from official download links on Dropbox.com.
I hope this helps.
best,
Sean

They will remove the 23GB that was part of the promo but leave what you had before.
So you don't need to remove all your files.
NOOOOOOO!!!
what a bummer

shame they don't sell a middle package like extra 10GB for USD 2-3$ a month... I would've bought it...

Because box.net sucks badly. No Linux or Windows Clients, you must use WebDAV and it's slowly as hell. And the sync doesn't work. Also I like Dropbox camera upload feature.

Bah who could ever say no to that. I was on whatever the latest cm (i think 11, unless thats nighlies) is and i was happy, but always felt i could get more juice out of my phone. Idk why the creator ever abandoned it. If i knew who he was id give him a nice little donation just for the work thus far. If anyone knows point him this way

Do you know of they've made anything else for the inspire/desire? Or better yet, how I can get voice working on this one? Like voice control, and voice-to-text messaging? That's the only feature I miss.
