[MOD/FIX] (ICS/CM9) [Sprint Users] Phantom Voicemail Notification Finally Fixed - Android Apps and Games

I think that everyone here or that has ever flashed a CM rom will agree that one thing they hated above all is the persistent Ghost voicemail icon that can only be removed by either clearing data in the phone app (and after every reboot), or the fix in which you can call Sprint to activate a dumb phone, leaving yourself a message and then clearing the voicemails, then reactivating your smartphone.
As you guys know, i search every devices sections, testing and trying out different mod's/apk's/zip's in hope that it would benefit us all, today i'd like to bring to you......a modified Phone.apk which will get rid of the notification altogether, both the Icon and Notification in the pulldown menu.
*For those of us who have the Sprint VVM installed, it wont mess up the notifications for them.

2. Showing that Sprint VVM notifications still show up after the Modified phone.apk is applied.
3. Took a screenshot right after a Reboot to show no notification at boot.
(Obviously i guess i cant prove this was right after a reboot but take my word for it, feel free to flame if you think otherwise)
Make a Nandroid Backup just in case, I'm not responsible if something messes up your phone.
TESTED AND WORKING ON Jokers CM9 3.3
EDIT: Not working on MIUI
Instructions
1. Go to 'manage apps' / Navigate to 'Phone' and press "Clear data'
2. Download modified Phone.apk
3. Using Root Explorer with 'R/W' set (or similar app), go to your 'system/app' folder and backup the phone.apk or rename with '.bak' extention.
4. Move downloaded Phone.apk from the download location to your 'system/app' folder.
5. Make sure to change the permissions to match the other apps in the folder.
6. Close Root Explorer and reboot into Recovery
7. Go to 'Advanced' and press on 'Fix Permissions' and then reboot phone.
8. Enjoy not having that $%$*&# notification anymore
Big thanks to
JusticeAA for the Mod
tbob18 for making it into an .APK

WM6.5 Messages panel - what is the name? (Samsung Jack)

I flashed my Jack with WM 6.5 recently and loaded the Titanium panels. But I am not seeing an "all in one" panel for Missed calls, Email, Text, and Voicemail. Instead I have a panel for each one.
I checked out the list of apps/panels in the 3vo ROM's for the Excalibur and nothing seemed to be the panel I'm after.
See middle Screenshot at the bottom of first post:

Or just below the Wifi panel in this SS.

Anyone know where I can find the stand alone installer? Or help narrow down the search terms? The results I am getting haven't helped find it yet.
I was able to find the info in the Titanium CPR file on the 3VO rom, so I copied that over to the file for my phone. It works!
I just can't find the icons though, I've got red x's on the condensed view and 2 of 4 icons in expanded have red x's. I've looked over the text a lot and I just can't find where they are pulling from.
Looking at the image keys in the registry I see the following:
Value Name: chNotification_cv_email
Value Data: 2003
I'm guessing that is pulling from a DLL, but I am stumped on where to find the name of the DLL so I can view the contents to pick new icons.
Have you tried checking with CHomeConfigurator? I have both the combined panel and the individual ones...
U must install titanium notifications plug

Is there a way to reorganize messaging items/get rid of a particular item e.g. voicemail?

I think you would have to edit the CPR file and comment out the items you don't want to use. If you're editing the CPR file, make a copy for safe keeping in case you mess it up.
Commenting an item out should be easy enough, you'll probably have to adjust the spacing afterwards to get things to appear neatly again.

Just Bolded white for unread right now - I'll keep u updated though.
I might make a few changes to this version (ecsnead69's) tonight (e.g. white body text instead of the grey.. and any others I can think of).

[MOD][MIUI] Recovery option on power menu (11-30 MIUI build)

So I got tired of having to manually holding the power+volume keys to go into recovery every time so I added the Recovery menu option to the power menu. Sharing here in case anyone else would like to have it as well. I also took a look at the 4-way boot mod and I personally just prefer having the option directly on the main Power menu instead of a submenu.
Firstly, thanks to Isaacj87 for putting together the MIUI port!
Secondly, thanks to untermensch on xda for the guide.
I REPLACED the Guard option on the power menu so if you like that option, DO NOT use this mod. Basically, you can't change the array size from 5 options to 6 options without the phone crashing when creating the dialog--there's a bunch of verifications on the dialog size in a bunch of different places that is a real pain to try and follow. I didn't want to mess with that so, since I never used the Guard option anyways, I just replaced it--and I don't know how to make a popup window in smali like the Recovery option on CM7 so I don't have any plans on doing that as well at this time.
I also changed the carrier name to MIUI.
In order to see the power menu Phone Options dialog, you need to change your Toggle Settings to Compact view, otherwise, it will just show you your notification bar toggles when you hold down your Power button. To do that:
Settings --> Personal Tab --> Toggle Settings --> Compact
Or as bing7625 mentioned, you can lock your phone and then hold down the power button on the lockscreen.
This has only been tested with Isaac's current 11-30 MIUI builds. Instructions to install:
1. Download Zip file and flash in ClockworkMod recovery.

[MOD][APK][KK][NC2]Dark Phone, Contacts, and MMS for NC2 TW Deodexed ROMs

There are many of us out there who actually like TW, but absolutely detest the stock white Phone, Contacts and MMS apks that our version of the Note 3 comes with. After some exhaustive searching and lots of trial and error, I've managed to cobble together these inverted apks that come in the international ROMs. I take no credit for modifying any of these, I'm simply providing a link for those who want the dark versions.
Screenies:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You may also want to install Xposed and add the "Force Immersive Mode" module and force immersive mode for the Contacts app. It seems that the International version may be using immersive mode with Contacts because if your status bar is showing, the bottom of the dialer gets clipped.
Installation is very simple. Back up your current SecPhone.apk SecContacts_OSup.apk and SecMms.apk (if you're not deodexed, you'll need to back up the three corresponding .odex files as well) which are in /system/priv-app, in case anything goes wrong. The simplest way is to just add ".bak" (without the quotes of course) to the end of each file name. For example, SecPhone.apk will become SecPhone.apk.bak Download the zip file with the apk's, extract the zip, and copy the apk's into your /system/priv-app/ folder. These are deodexed so there will be no corresponding .odex files. Make sure you set the permissions on all three to rw-r-r.
Reboot and all should be well.

Nice and thanks might check out the mms... First ?

Gave it a shot. Had to use exposed module to "force immersion" as stated in op but causes delayed response. If you gotta have the dark phone / contacts get an international rom.
Thanks to the op cuz I was wondering the same thing, prefer the dark background, but the ripple effect is more than I want to deal with. Will have to look at DK and Tweaked roms.
via stark naked magic
I hadn't honestly noticed any delay until you mentioned it, but it's very slight (in my case). I had so much time and effort invested setting up everything in my stock deodexed ROM that I just wanted to replace the white apps...

Screen lighting up randomly?

Am i the only one who has this?
My phone screen lights up as if there was a new notification, but there is nothing new, and then goes back to sleep.
It's super irritating.
Anyone know how to fix this?
*Tried turning off notifications in different apps, but to no success, Still have this problem.

there must be some app keep push messages, but you turn this app's notification off (by system notification setting, not in app's setting). so the screen lights up, but nothing there. maybe it's a bug. You could turn all apps' notification on in system setting, and turn off pushing in app's setting. if you still receive messages, then that app is the murder, uninstall it.
I have the exact same thing happen, only happening since the Android 10 update.. I've reinstalled using oxygen updater just to confirm everything is ok.. but I still have this issue.
Hey Guys . . Finally i found out the Solution for One plus lock screen or home screen waking up without any reason.
No need to turn off anything or any notifications.
Just follow these simple steps. .
1. Go to settings. Then click on customization.
2. Select first option Themes
3. Select Other theme (doesn't matter which one is applied). And apply.
4. Again change the theme to previous one.
And the problem is solved. . . .
It worked for me and my friend's one plus device. I think its glitch and now its Solved.
If it worked just Drop a Thanks
[email protected]
Go to settings and in the search bar type wakeup.You will see the options to 'don't wake up for notifications'. Select accordingly.
