what's your battery life/your usage?
i'd use my phone pretty heavy during the day - wi-fi on for maybe an hour, 1 hour of video playback, approximately half an hour of music, half an hour of apps/games, half an hour reading, a few minutes talk. could it last the whole day?
It surely will!
I Play music 2 Hrs a day, 1 hr on Wifi, 30 min of Video and lasts 2 days easily!

At an average i am getting 1 & 1/2 to 2 Days on normal usage which pretty good on any android mobile, i will play games for 1 to 2 hours, Browsing for 1 hour and call's max 1 hour.
I don't even get an entire 12 hours on weekdays.
College.
But I go through Saturdays and Sundays on one charge.
centrifugal ducatk
i bought 2 batteries
I charge overnight and use it the whole day... Happy with it.. And sometimes charge it while driving.. Keeping brightness to as low as possible and increasing it only outdoors helps a lot... Cheers.
Use a black background/wallpaper, instant battery boost, I generally end the day with 50% batt. and I tend to listen to a lot of music, play games @ lunch and use the data connections a lot
First, a LCD screen does not get anything from a black wallpaper, or at least it isn't significant.
Second, how much time do you spend looking your wallpaper during the day?
I Use it on Auto Brightness and a Bright Color Wallaper!
Use it for 1 Hr Music, max 30min of gaming, 30min - 1Hr Wifi Browsing with Bg data On, 30 min call and 100 sms messages!
Yet I get 2-3 Days off it.
Its an awesome phone!
If you are not using "Hi Galaxy" disable it, double click on the home button -> settings -> voice talk settings -> uncheck wake up command.
it will save you battery by at least 5 to 10%....

Battery life depends on usage ofc unless you got some fake or defected battery sitting at the back. I think it's possible to get a better battery.
I charge mine overnight and it kinda lasts through the day. With about 4-5 hours of music and 2 hours or maybe more of games. I keep brightness on auto cuz the light detection thing is real nice and it keeps the brightness at a near perfect level except when my fingers get in the way of the detectors which are near the front camera.
I'm guessing if you use this phone for just calls and messages and when listening to music if the screen is switched off, it should last at least 3 days.
Also my Wi-Fi is on all the time and I have a live wallpaper ^_^
You could prolly make the battery drain really quickly if you play music and keep brightness on full while playing some hd game like shadowgun.

Well, black being the off state of an lcd pixel... Cba to explain.
Derp on derper
First thing is don't use widgets which use internet .......
The best thing is use DROIDWALL app from market and .........block the internet to apps which u will not use internet
Example :1). if ur are using gmail then block email app
2) some games in which more adds will come so better to block that also for not using internet for disable adds
3) for me I will not use maps, places, latitude .....so I will block that also
This the stuff that helps to increase my battery life

Black is not 'off' in an LCD display. You are confusing that with an OLED display.
SGS2 has an SAMOLED+ display. In that a black pixel is truly off. That does save power.
But in an LCD screen like the one on SGR, even black is on. It is just colored black. Try looking at a black image on your phone and then switching the screen off. You will see the difference.

standard procedure is, as far as i know, choose screen light to the dimmest when you can see. i seldom choose the brightest option on very sunny days. do not use animated wallpapers, and prefably not colorful ones which mostly includes green, yellow and red. turn your data connection off when not using. also selecting the use only 2g networks makes difference. and install advanced task killer, using security level to low if you know which process does what, and ignore the apps you use actively. add a widget on desktop and touch it when you remember
I manage to get 24hrs after every charge on medium to heavy usage....... this includes 2hrs of music, 2 hrs racing moto, 1hr browsing, few calls & othr apps
its up to my expectaton.......
I use for moderate voice calls and get more than 15hrs before charging.

Seems to be popular on the forums. Whats eating up your battery? Have you rooted? Custom rom? Tried apps like greenify and ds battery saver? I can easily get two days out of my phone with 3-4 hours of screen on time on the mf9 stock rom rooted.
Don't really know what's eating it. Mostly cause when i use it for regular uses like apps, web surfing, setting exploring (got it yesterday) and gaming.
And i want a hellish better battery, but the thing im afraid of is the safety of it, can it easily damage the phone cause of hot summer days or cold winter days?
And i don't root since i have managed to brick 2 previous phones even though i want a clean simple google edition of the android 4.3, but then again i want a stable one with every function included and some of the including samsung apps like shealth for temp check and the watch app for tv remote controlling.
Get it now!
These are my results on the battery so far
Max Brightness & Gaming = 12 hours
Min Brightness & No gaming = 25 hours 16 min
*Results are On screen time*
The results below are the Samsung 2600Mah battery
Max brightness & gaming = 1-2 hours
Min Brightness and No gaming = 4-6 hours

Another good app to try out is battery doctor.
P.s. you need a couple battery cycles to get best performance from battery
I get around 12 to 16 hrs on stock battery. zerolemon should be here any day now

25 hours on min brightness ?
cool
Most off the time i have around 6-8 hours screentime and i only need to charge every 2 days.(no gaming, auto brightness -2, wifi, bt, gps, mobile, nfc, all on...)
i tried once not to touch the phone for a full day and i had 91% left at the end off the day with about 20 minutes off screentime
Got the battery about 2 weeks ago, still very happy with it, only thing that worked on my nerves so far is to put the phone in recovery mode after turning off the device, i usually end up removing the cover to make sure i touch the buttons
the only thing im afraid of is if a unoriginal battery can damage the phone or in worst case explode (as mentioned in the manual)
Warning for anyone
If you are thinking of buying the White version i would suggest not to because it absorbs color from basically anywhere it can, Mines yellowish..

i guess your right, i wanted to do some testing myself
from 100 to 50 % battery in a little more then 8 hours & 30 minutes with :
-> brightness at 100%, gps, wifi, mobile, bt, nfc, everything toggled to on
-> autosync 8 accounts from wich 3 are email accounts
-> 4 hours music with screen on and volume almost at maximum (done with battery test utility)
-> watch over 3 hours tv (streaming with wifi)
-> trip from 30 minutes with (Waze) navigation (forgot to turn it off in the background, turned it off after an hour i think)
= screentime 8 hours and 50% left
So max brightness probably gives (about) 16 hours off nonstop screentime based on my use.
After a couple off charging cycles with an app called android tuner, it tells me i can have over 14 days on standby, i wonder if this will be correct but i don't feel like testing that
Non-Stop

Many people helped us to give specific informations about this battery. I got mine (7500mah) last week and I wanted to say THX and share my first-cycle-stats experiences.
Phoenix ROM with Ktoonez kernel
- Mainly 2G Data
- Flightmode at night for 5 hours
- Rebooted ~8 times for flashing stuff and doing a full Backup (~1 1/2 hours totally)
- Greenify and some security apps.
- 4 mail accounts, Whatsapp
- 30 mins of navigation
- Screen mainly on auto
- Bluetooth transfers, pictures, etc....
Max screen time could be 12 hours, because the battery resisted to die and stuck at 3% :silly:
Pro
- more easy holding smartphone now
- battery life
- soundoutput better when laying on the backside
- good grip, less slippery
- now also available in europe (amazon.co.uk)
- fair price
Cons
- a bit too thick
- signal problems from time to time esp. when holding in your hand on places with poor reception

In regards to your cons, it's about 2 mm thicker than the 5200 extendeds out there. I think the bigger drawback is the weight.
I haven't noticed any signal problems myself, but I think you would be more sensitive to it if you already have signal problems. I don't live in threshold areas so I don't feel this drawback, but a lot of people have mentioned it.
Zerolemon 7500mah Battery Review
Hey, guys! I did a review on my Youtube channel of this battery. There's a link in my signature if you want to check it out Got some crazy battery life with it!
Woo got mine. First cycle 1day6hrs. Screen time 8 hrs. Runing goldeneye.
I got the 7500 as well. I've been using it for about 5 days now and the most i've gotten is 7 hours screen time. My main battery drainage is audio_out 2. I went from 96% to 30% in a day. I might've either gotten a defective battery or my usage is crazy. I still don't know what my audio_out2 is.
Good day to all the people using the Honor 6 H60-L04,
I currently have a Moto X 2013 and I love almost everything about it. The one thing that really makes me mad about the phone is the battery. I can get 6:30 hours of SoT during normal use, but during Standby / Sleep mode the phone eats a minimum of 2.0% to 3.0% drain per hour. It does not matter if the phone is even in Airplane mode, it drains about the same.
Now, I am looking for a phone that will not need to have everything turned off just to have 1 day of regular use and to have a small drain per hour when the phone is not being used.
Could some users share their average Standby time on their Honor 6? Other than not being splashproof (Why couldn't Huawei follow the steps of the Honor 3?), the Honor 6 is the most attractive option for me right now due to price and performance, just need to know how is the avg drain per hour when screen off is to make a decision.
At night my battery was eat 1%
So in about 8hrs it drops 1%? If you use GSAM Battery Monitor it would say a little more than 0.1%/hour or similar?
Running the latest CM11. I lose maybe 4% every 24 hours in standby. My last battery cycle to 4% was 6 hours screen time, 2 days 14 hours total.
I received the Honor 6 on Friday, very happy with it! Tried this last night, and between 1am and 9 this morning it was only 1%, with wifi on all the time.

Wow,
that is awesome. Too bad I found out that the phone is very weak in the sound department. I saw samples of videos taken in noisy environments (concert) and the sound was awful. Also, some reviews and users report that the sound coming out of the headphone jack is also of very low quality compared to other phones on the same price range.

I'm a medium to heavy user at home, browsing on Chrome, WhatsApp, YouTube. I usually get 6 hours of on screen time on heavy use with WiFi.
But if I am at the office, I will put my phone on 2G GSM just for replying messages and this will make my phone last for 1 day 12 hours at most with probably 3 hours on screen time.
Sound wise, the speakers at the back of the phone is not that great because it is a mono speaker. I am not so much of a music/sound person so that does not bother me as long as the volume is loud enough for me to hear my phone rings.
Earphones/headphones wise, i am happy with the quality of sound and I am only using my cheap CreaTive earphones.
Thanks for the feedback. For the battery, it is odd that it would last so little on 2G considering what was said before that the phone has excellent stand by time battery usage. If I was you, I would check if your phone is going into sleep mode while at the office, it could be something is keeping it awake.
For the sound, I am a heavy music listener and this is a deal breaker. On top of that, the audio during video recording is bad, and you won't notice until that special moment when you want to record a video and then you play it back and the sound is horrible with clipping and distortion (like on my old Galaxy S2).

Yeah like i said, replying messages on office days. So i always check my phone every minute. The culprit is too many incoming WhatsApp Group chats.
I've tried using the protected app feature and kill all background apps. It does make a big difference, i have seen my phone going more than 2 days unplugged with battery life still remaining more than 10%.
So it depends on the user really. Im too lazy to kill apps nowadays, because to me 1full day of battery life with 3G & medium usage is good enough. .
I have bought brand new honor 6, 2 weeks ago..
I have noticed that its draining very fast. 5-6% just 6hours night standby. no Wifi. 0 App is running after screen turned off.
Closed all recent open apps from history.
See two screenshots.
3% drained, for 28 minutes of wifi on (use for just making screenshots)
Ps:I have upgraded on marshmellow
Any solution will appreciated.
Battery is ok,but I dont count every single percent and on latest version of the stock rom screen on time is around 5 hours when you install all your apps and stuff.Phone is good overall, but its not worth upgrading from moto x 2013.Better stick with it and if you care about battery that much, install a custom rom/kernel or get powerbank.

Once in a while, when your significant other yells at you, you might use your phone a bit less. Rate this thread to express how the Huawei Nexus 6P's battery performs under light use. A higher rating indicates that the device goes a long time when you're using the phone sparingly: no gaming or video/audio streaming, light web browsing, some calling and texts, etc.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Lasts two days with light use.
I'm disappointed from the battery. Of course I knew it but when you have it in your own hands it's twice a disappointment. I use it for an hour of talk time, two hours of browsing, and a few other tasks mainly file management. I have both wifi and data open with 5 push emails. Notifications from other apps are disabled. Only emails, sms, viber, whatsapp and FB messenger are allowed.
I have less than 40% battery at the end of the day when on my previous Note 4 I could have easily 60% or more. I am terrified to start gaming and music listening through my Sony SBH-52 BT headset.

Yes something's wrong on your end. And I remember using both the note 4/5 and you can see the battery melt in front of your eyes. With light use I get easily a day and some. I've never run out of battery with the n6p
Battery is pretty better than note 4. I have been using note and I can post both devices screenshot about battery backup and sot

Not sure that is what I'd call light use, but have you looked at the threads in the other forums here addressing some of the known bad apps, etc? Lots of good advice here on how to make the battery last a lot longer on the 6P. Since they fixed the Naptime app a few days ago for a bug it had with MM, I've finished the last two days over 90%. Few phone calls, few texts, a few web searches. I'm rooted, running the Kylo kernel, greenify'd a few apps. Stock ROM.
With light use I have gone 3 days without charging. Just turn off "Ambient Display" and other automatic screen on options like that.
Doze is amazing. It takes a while to turn on without root or Greenify but light use can make the battery last at least a day if not a day and a half and that is awesome!
does ambient light impacts battery life?

not much, but yes
I've had a 6P for about a 5 days now.
I just installed Nougat and can report that Doze really is vastly improved vs. MM. With very light use yesterday while on a five hour drive I was seeing values like 3% per hour while streaming BT audio (no nav, screen off, controlling playback via steering wheel-mounted controls). Going up I didn't use the phone except for checking the weather and saw something like 1.5% per hour.
So far this morning at work, where I usually hardly use the phone at all, I'm seeing something like 1.9% per hour just occasionally turning on the screen to check for texts/e-mails (SoT so far, 4 hours into my day is about 45 minutes). The best my Note 5 EVER did, impersonating a brick on my desk, was maybe 3.5% per hour. At the end of the day, with about 2 1/2 to 3 hours of SoT it would usually have 10%-15% left, so I would say the endurance of the 6P is astounding.
I am concerned however about the dramatic effect using the camera has on this. I spent about 15 minutes playing with the camera last night before and 15 minutes after installing Nougat and noted a huge amount heat being generated with the resultant power consumption of over 15% in just those few minutes. I get that the processor is working hard on processing but this is one area the Note 5 is better. While the 6P is so much more efficient overall than the Note 5 (running MM), I use the camera a lot while traveling and occasionally for work, and I'm worried that it will so dramatically reduce it's endurance that it'll die on me halfway through the day. I'm going to Singapore for a week next for a week and so far I don't think the 6P will be the phone I take only for this reason. I was hoping that with Nougat Google would have improved the efficiency of the camera app/photo processing but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I would go so far as to say this may drive me to return it.
After few days of light use I can finally share more details. Phone lasts 1 day and 20 hours with the light use. Phone used for 1h05m, screen 1h16m, 44h active phone (where first 8 hours were in very low signal area) with 13h wake time. I have three push accounts active, BT always on, Wifi as never when screen off. I have reached same results on my S7 Edge so it is not that bad as I suspected. Whats is very positively supposing is that while reading battery drops 1% per 9 minutes - not bad, and 1% per 10 minutes while using Spotify over BT headset.
Yeah I think about 1.5 days average.
For single sim usage with Wifi always on i lost 23% charge for usage of 2.15 Hr call and 40 minutes Sot. Would be this normal? What you guys are getting

Sounds about right. Maybe a little on the high side but we don't know what happened throughout the entire time.

Then seems like there's not much else really to consider asides from environment conditions. (Ie. Screen brightness, signal strength, etc.)
About 8 9 hours but I'm rooted and I did some optimizations. With heavy game (pugb max details) about 3-3 1/2.
Around 2 to 10 hours.
Sometimes I just listen to podcasts and music, and not using the screen at all. Those days it's usually 2 days between charge.
Sometimes I use the phone more and I could be getting 6hrs on mixed lte/3g/wifi those days is mostly bad weather and is around 30 hours between charge.
Some days I'm in the hospital with nothing to do, alot of time on YouTube, Netflix on wifi, those will be around the 10 hour mark.
