Are there any Equalizer apps that allow you to save multiple custom profiles?
I use my phone for music... A LOT. I've got 3 different ways I run audio through the headphone jack.
1: Klipsch Image S4 in ears
2: Bowers & Wilkins P5 headphones
3: aux cord in my car
Each one sounds different and requires different EQ settings to sound correct, and changing the EQ settings manually when I switch from headphones to IEM's for jogging to my car is a PITA.
Edit: Mods - Mistakenly posted this in wrong forum from Tapatalk app. Please move to Q&A.
I'm surprised nobody has a faced similar quest.
I do find that PlayerPro allows multiple presets, but Volume+, DSP Manager, Equalizer, don't seem to allow more that one custom profile.

Hi, while I try to use headphone to listen mp3, it's alway not loud enough even I put the system volume to the max. It is any other way to boost the volume to make it louder thought my headphone, the one go from 2.5mm audio jack.
I couldn't find anything about how to make the headphone louder, not thought bt headphone.
Furthermore, is it tools to control the volume for different applications. I think it would be very handy if we can have different volume setting for different applications, say, I alway have to adjust the volume of my windows media player to max, and if I'm using sip phone, I have to change to another setting, and another setting for my reminder in order not to scare others.
The headphones I plug in to my AT&T Fuze always output sound at ridiculously high volume, while the volume on the device's main speaker sans headphones is fine. Are these two settings--headphone volume vs. main speaker volume--at all decoupled? I've searched the forums to the best of my ability but can't seem to find a fix.
I can change the volume for specific programs, like the built-in HTC media player, but then someone calls me or my calendar produces an appointment alert while I'm listening to music and my head explodes from the gazillion decibels injected directly into my ear. I can also put the overall system volume way low, but then I have to change it back up every time I take off headphones. Is there any way to change the global headphone volume?
Also I don't think it's a problem specific to my headphones, since I've tried two different kinds (both earbuds), nor to a specific ROM, since I've used ROMeOS, Elite, and RRE with the same problem in each.

Please post things like this in the Q&A thread and not in the ROM development forum.
Every couple months i pointlessly ask this question.
Is anyone aware of an app that can adjust the headphone amplifier levels?
I need the headphone amp to have REDUCED volume to eliminate static noise when listening to quiet music at night.
Voodoo sound does this perfectly, but only works on samsung phones.
Thanks in advance, even though lets face it it doesn't exist.

What exactly is causing this static noise??
DSP manager should be what you are looking for. Set the equalizer in the headphone settings to "custom" then reduce the levels across all the bands. If it is high pitched static you may just want to reduce the high frequencies
EDIT: Search the forums for "Dsp manager" to find the download link. Id post it but cant...

I appreciate your reponse but its not a solution. If you listen to quiet music at night like classical music, you will hear a static. Its a cheap headphone amp in the phone. Think about a guitar amp turned up too loud. You would hear the amp clearly when the guitar isn't playing. Some phones are worse than others in this regard. Turning the headphone amp down and the media volume UP reduces static noise and allows the media volume to be high.
Turning the eq down may help but at the cost of good sound quality. I have tried it.
And finally, here is the answer. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teamkang.fauxsound
I had the same problem to with white noise static coming in my low impedance in ear phones.
I edited these 2 files and lowered the gain to 48 for headset. I think by default its on 55.
They are in /system/etc
Files
TPA2051_CFG.csv
TPA2051_CFG_XC.csv
Edit and reboot. Make copies before edit just in case.

When I am not streaming iheart radio, I listen to high quality mp3 files from my 64 gig card at work.
I use two sets of headphones, v-moda Crosfade LP2's & v-moda trueblood V-80's.
I briefly played with the stock G3 audio player when I first got the phone & found it sounded pretty good after adjusting the settings under SoundAlive>Custom> EQ + the Extended settings. I like powerful bass & always jack it up some in any app I am using.
After that, I forgot about the stock player as I have always used both PowerAmp (paid version) & also the paid version of PlayerPro. I like these two apps & both work with the Headset button app allowing skip forward/back from ANY headet with either one or three button inline controls.
This morning, I clicked on an audio file that has a fair bit of bass & immediately noticed that it sounded better than I was expecting it to. It is a song I am very familiar with so I know what it usually sounds like. The bass was super deep and rich and it took me a minute to realize I had accidentally clicked on the stock audio app instead of PowerAmp.
I clicked out of the stock app & fired up PA but I immediately noticed the bass in the same song was nowhere near as powerful. I figured that was easy enough to correct using tone/eq settings in PowerAmp but after trying every change in settings I could think of I was never able to duplicate the rich sound coming from the stock music player app.
Am I doing something really stupid here (entirely possible) or is there some kind of simple explanation for what I'm hearing??
Hi
Equalizer is a very good feature but I miss one thing. I use wired and wireless earbuds. They have different bass strength and when equalizer in on one of them have too strong bass. Switching turn on and off the equalizer is very uncomfortable.
Is there a possibility to add profiles to equalizer that switches automatically depending on earbuds uses like this:
1. no earbuds - profle 1
2. wired earbuds - profile 2 << I think there is a possibility to determine it since android shows an icon in notification bar
3. bluetooth device - profile for each device
thanks in advice
