Hello,
So ive recently installed a stock rooted GB based rom but however the rate at which sms messages are sent is very slow. I was on Eagle's Blood ICS before and even if i had very poor reception, sms messages would be sent almost instantly, and i also remember CM7 having the same feature. So im wondering, is there any tweak, .apk or mod that can be installed on my phone that will allow sms messages to be sent faster. Thanks
Go with miui sighn... Also check with get RIL on the market

Lol, was about to say this. Everyone knows AOSP is faster than OTA. Battery life is reduced though. But yes, just use CM7.

Stock OTA or a rom based off of OTA?

I'm almost positive it just says "send" doesn't mean it sent it immediately, cause it will say send even if it failed.

I am the same way and on the mt4g I still have my wife update her cm frequently but she's on the virtuous fusion now. Anyway I love cm and really was seeing if there was any input for me to stray from it and try something new yet it seems we are still to new for choice of roms

faux's is not based off CM his is AOSP built from scratch it has 2.3 camera and macro shots and such are still available only issue I see with Faux's rom is battery tells the wrong battery level, be at 76% and after a reboot have 64% but thats alot of roms dont know about stock, and I can live with it. seriously best rom yet.

o wtf i thought it was a rom ive never herd of
xboarder is no frills almost boring utilitarian battery saver. I think best on the battery but for maybe an hour or less of battery time you could go eagleblood or some CM variation.
try out the EagleBlood or weapon (has lg camera). If the battery annoys you then go xboarder. Oh also charge your battery all the way before you install rom and wipe data, cache, dalvik, battery stats, format system. its hard to do b/c you want all these apps, but let you battery drain all the way then charge all the way...you should be good to go then. go nuts on apps.

YOU would know best whats stable enough and lag free enough for YOU. im just quite the opposite. 3 weeks or so ago, i flashed the stock/rooted version of 4.0.3 ics. it was stable, fast, everything worked. i thought i was happy with it and stopped my daily flashing. last night i went back to crackflashing, cm9 kangs. the stock rom was apparently too stable for me. and it wasnt just because of withdrawal from crackflashing. i went back to daily crackflashing because it has become a lifestyle

the kangs/cm9 are getting better and better every day, almost. i left cm9 because the launcher was starting to bug me, it reloaded way too often. cm9 might have had a memory issue then. but, 2 days and 2 kangs later, not a single issue here. everything works just as it should. and its extremely quick and responsive, even with the trinity teuv undervolted/underclocked(880mhz) kernel that im using(but its gpu is overclocked).
So you would say that the kangs is better? If so, I'm gonna keep this cm9 and then flash in maybe two days.

its not that they are better, its that they are compiled on a daily basis. so they are the latest, and include the latest fixes right away.

I wouldn't say you should COMPLETELY trust the CM9 ROM over all. If I were you I'd run some more tests on which you like the most at the moment and stick to it, until CM9 is finally complete. I'm using an AOSP+ Neapolitan flavor build, it is incredibly smooth I recommend that. I know as soon as CM9 is finished I'm hopping onto that ROM in a heart beat though
Hey thanks. Do you have a link for that build you mentioned

Regardless of your partiality, you are still correct. To back up this statement, I point to the current battery life on my infuse. I am sitting at 11% after 3 days, 50 minutes with a screen on time of 2 hours over those 3 days. One hour of voice calls and HEAVY text usage.
ZEUS, quite simply put, ROCKS.

!!!Zeus!!!
Is ZEUS the most stable as well?
Stability is the #1 factor for me. That and lack of amateur theming. Can't stand it when authors choose to put in weird looking fonts and other stuff. I watched the video that showed off zeus rom though and that is definitely not the case. EXTREMELY pretty.

Any recommendations for a nice ROM that sites a superior job at: accessing data, making and receiving calls, Bluetooth headset operability, etc?
I have constant trouble with all of this on CM7, and need to do better...despite living the ROM's other features.
