[Q] Can somebody help me (re: flashing ICS)

Hello guys, i'm new to the whole flashing thing.
basically.. i want to have ICS on my device, so i figured if i flash
"InsertCoin 4.0.3 IceCreamSandwich Sense 3.5 BEATS | EPIC"
I'd get it right, BUT..
my bootloader is S-On, what if i need to return it under warranty, how easy is it to fix it back so HTC don't know, and can someone run me through flashing that particular rom?

I recommend that you use ARDH 5.0.2 - the links below contains all the info you need, on how to gain s-off and flash the rom.

Just be sure to follow the instructions, and do not hurry it!

It seems to be stuck on the android boot logo, its been stuck like that for like 10/15 minutes

have you tried wiping cache and dalvik cache from recovery?

Flashed the RCMix ICE v1.1 rom, and now i dont get notification sounds for twitter, facebook etc, but get them for gmail and had a text which worked..
Anyone shed any light?

Congrats.
You seem to have succesfully flashed an ICS ROM. For further support it's best to ask all questions in the thread of that ROM. That's where you'll get the most relevant support because these ROMs may differ.
You should check settings in the facebook app and in the twitter app and make sure notification is 'on' there.

Sensation 4G rooted but can't update .

Hello everyone ,my 4G is rooted but it gives me some update and i cant update it ....
what are the steps to update from
Android Ver.
2.3.4
Soft number 1.45.531.1
is it safe to update and will I be able to use the phone still rooted ...

Since you're Rooted you CANNOT do updates unless you flash stock recovery back but there's no point of updating since you can flash a Ice Cream Sandwich ROM which have much better battery,speed(on the new ones)Happy Flashing man

You should flash a bynch of roms and see what works for you. Not just what others say.

In my opinion, I would give the following ICS roms a try.

I have tried all 3 and love them all, and they get regular updates. But at the end of the day, it's all down to personal opinion.
So just try a few different roms until you find one you like.
If you do a Nandroid backup (which you should always do anyway), you can always revert to your previous rom, if you don't like it.

Shall i need to update to leedroid latest version OR install Android Revolution HD

After reading many post in all forum about ROM installation i am here to ask some question. few days before I bought second hand sensation mobile. which i did not noticed it has installed Leedroid_sensational ROMv4.3.0 In saudi arbia... In this rom my battery is getting very hot (46degree).and wifi and mobile data is not working properly (its getting automaticaly ON OFF)...
BUT now what should i do.?

You could Backup the ROM and then update to LeeDroid. If the problems still aren't sorted then wipe and try ARHD.
If the battery still gets very warm it might be indicative of a bad battery or an app keeping your phone awake.

I have one more Question. i am thinking to install Official HTC (Saudi Arbia) ROM (Gingerbread) Of HTC sensation Z710e... Then later i want to update to Latest HTC Official ICS when its launch...
So plz can u provide the Official HTC (Saudi Arbia) ROM (Gingerbread) Of HTC sensation Z710e LINK to install And also the Tutorial how to install... Becoz I am new here and also very confused what is the best method...

[Q] Need the latest stock rom for HTC Sensation.

I have an HTC Sensation and its currently using the Revolution ROM. I want to install a stock rom that will allow me to use BeatsAudio, has the latest ICS version and Sense version. I would also like to be able to get updates from HTC directly - the way it was before I installed the custom ROM.
Can someone point me to a ROM I have to install ?
I cant seem to find what I want..

Well to be able topping you in the right direction you need to post the following.
Are you S-off or HTC Dev unlocked?
Are you running Gingerbread or ICS right now.
Are you Super CID, and if not who is your carrier?

it is always there in Sensation Android Development section.

Android Revolution HD Rom Difference & Help with Root Terms

Just started learning rooting about few days ago, I'm planning to root my Sensation 4G this week. I have decided to use the Android Revolution HD as my custom rom. But when I went to download it, there was 3 versions of it. Android Revolution HD 6.7.2, Android Revolution HD 6.7.2 XE with Beats Audio, and Android Revolution HD 1.2.2 T-Mobile. Could someone tell me the difference between those.
Also I'm kinda confused with this thread here. The part where it says "Download firmware for HTC Sensation (PG5813000, PG5811000 & PG5810000) & HTC Sensation XE (PG5813001)" with lots of downloads is where I don't get it. Do we really need to download the RUU, most video that show how to root the Sensation 4G doesn't download it, all they download is this PG58IMG.zip which I don't know what it is, could someone also explain that. Below the thread it says "2. It's recommended to flash it before flashing custom ROM based on proper RUU!" What I want to know is what is that and what good is it to flash the RUU before flashing a custom rom. Thanks.

I have the same questions. I flashed to the Revolution HD with Beats on my sensation and now the WIFI does not work and the 4G is showing as H and is very very slow. Did I do something wrong?
