Price: Free. Android 1.5+
TracePing is a network diagnostic tool which combines the functionality of the 'traceroute' and 'ping' programs and is similar to MyTraceroute mtr(*nix), 'winmtr'(Win), 'Nice Trace' (iOS).
First, it finds the path between your device and any internet server and then starts to send periodical echo requests to each host on the way, gathering round trip time statistics.
TracePing is very useful to investigate network problems, to find out where exactly is the connection bottleneck or a failure.
Features
• A list of recently used hosts.
• IP selection for multiple IP hosts
• Extended statistics panel with min/avg/max ping, jitter and StDev
• Works on both WiFi and 3G/GPRS connection.
• Internationalized domains (IDN) are supported
• Copy hop line and ping report to clipboard
• Pause/restart ping
• Switching between IP and hostnames
• Tuneable interval, timeout, packet size, ping count and hop limit parameters
• Experimental IPv6 support (Needs root, because ping6 executable has no SUID bit on Android 4.0)
Notes
• Root is not necessary (except IPv6 hosts)
• Currently doesn't work on devices without 'ping' executable.
• 100% loss usually means that ICMP packets are blocked on this host or it is down.

Hey guys!
Can anybody who has IPv6 test any IPv6-enabled hosts like google.com, xs4all.nl, etc?
Neither my provider nor my router don't support IPv6 yet, so I can't test it.
Root is needed for IPv6 hosts because because ping6 executable has no SUID bit on ICS and up. There is no way to ping ipv6 without it. Basically, ping6 executable is useless without root...

[APP][4.1+,M] Anonymous Private Browser: get a new encrypted IP address & access TOR
I've always found existing options for vpn browsers on Android to be rather limited wrt core browser functionality (ex: orweb). Anonymous Private Browsers allows access to TOR Deepweb networks and focuses on security, privacy, and usability.
Features:
Network traffic generated from the app goes through an encrypted private VPN network. Each user is assigned a new IP address
Cell, public wifi, and mobile carriers are not able to detect what websites you visited or monitor/snoop your traffic
Built in features include app level PIN lock, swipeable browser tabs, full screen mode, save webpage to png
Focuses on privacy by deleting all history, cookies, and HTML5 caches each session (configurable)
Passess ipleak.net ,Open SSL and WebRTC vulnerability tests
Access all TOR, .Onion sites [Facebook.onion, twitter....etc], regular interweb
Typical browser features [bookmarks, history, HTML5 video support]
Multiple custom configuration options [custom search, default homepage...] (see screen shots)
Ultimate end goal is to develop the most secure and functionally usable browser for Android
Currently in XDA community beta, feel free to try out and if you like it please leave a Play review. However, if you see any areas for improvement or have bug requests feel free post those here.

The description of Orbot: Proxy with Tor
Orbot is a free proxy app that empowers other apps to use the internet more securely. Orbot uses Tor to encrypt your Internet traffic and then hides it by bouncing through a series of computers around the world. Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security known as traffic analysis.
What's new
2017-06-09
For Android 5.1 and lower, removed required new permissions reaquested (along with the access to the advanced new HS hosting features). For Android 6+, permissions are only requested when they are needed for Hidden Service hosting, and can be blocked if desired.
* Makes stop/start work more reliably
* updates to Tor 0.3.0.8 with important fix for Hidden Services TROVE-2017-004 bug

Why the thread & attached APK, when it's already available for free in the play store!?

[APP][5.1+] TrackerControl – Claim back your mobile privacy

What is this about?
TrackerControl allows users to monitor and control the widespread, ongoing, hidden data collection in mobile apps about user behaviour ('tracking').
To detect tracking, TrackerControl checks all network traffic against the Disconnect blocklist, used and trusted by the Mozilla Firefox browser.
Additionally, our in-house blocklist is used, created from analysing ~1 000 000 apps!
This approach
reveals the companies behind tracking,
allows to block tracking selectively, and
exposes the purposes of tracking, such as analytics or advertising.
The app also aims to educate about your rights under Data Protection Law, such the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Under the hood, TrackerControl uses Android's VPN functionality, to analyse apps' network communications locally on the Android device. This is accomplished through a local VPN server, to enable network traffic analysis by TrackerControl.
No external VPN server is used, to keep your data safe!
How to get it?
TrackerControl is available on F-Droid, the most popular open-source Android app store:
Alternatively, the app can be downloaded directly from GitHub, including automatic checks for updates:
https://github.com/OxfordHCC/tracker-control-android
Problems?
You have another VPN service, such as NetGuard? Sorry, only one VPN supported.
You are on Android 9+? Try to disable 'Private DNS' from the settings.
You are on Lineage OS 15.1 / 16? This has known issues with VPN.
You want ad-blocking? This is not fully supported, but can be found in the TrackerControl settings.
Disclaimer: The usage of this app is at your own risk. No app can offer 100% protection against tracking.
Bump
Just released 1st anniversary edition:
- MAJOR CHANGE: Redesign of app
- FEATURE: add ad-blocking, support custom host lists, allow disabling per-app
- FEATURE: add blocking by company
- FEATURE: find trackers that hide using DNS cloaking
- FEATURE: add optional non-strict mode to reduce app breakage (beta)
- FEATURE: allow blocking of Internet from main screen
- FEATURE: add 'clear' menu button to remove seen trackers
- FEATURE: add 'uninstall' menu button
- Fix crashes and bugs, including F-Droid incompatibility with Android 11
- Update block lists, disclose some tracker as 'essential'
- Add Italian, update translations, and allow more localisation
- Only automatically wipe logs, if logging is on
- Cleanup better after uninstalled apps
- Update libraries

It does indeed! No root required.
Latest version fixes some issues if you previously used the F-Droid version of the app, and upgraded to Android 11.
