What's a good video player that supports .avi? - HTC Inspire 4G

I'm getting really annoyed at needing to convert all my .avi files to .mp4 in order to play them on my phone. Does anyone know of a good media player that supports .avi?
Thanks in advance.

I think Mx video player supports it

Mms

How does one go about watching mms? Rockplayer won't and nothing stock will either. I'm running gingerbeast as well.

What type if file is it? Video, pic, soundclip? Are you sure that the mms is downloading? Is your data on or are you using just wifi? Are you using the stock messaging app for your rom?

3gp sent from an iPhone using go SMS. It downloads but rockplayer nor stock player won't play. Just wondering if this is android typical.

Best VPlayer Pro
I have no problem playing 3gp files with the stock player. Are you sure it didn't get corrupted?

iPhone video format is .MOV. I suspect that the file type isn't 3gp. As you stated, 3gp plays easily (if nothing's wrong with it - e.g., didn't completely download).
Have no idea, native player, rock player and vplayer all play MMS video.

Wma media player?

Does anyone know if there is a media player that will play Wma files? Currently using pro player but didn't seem to support Wma, which is the current format of a lot of my songs

Nope, I looked as I want to use it for a local radio station but so far I could not find any.
Google music should do you. You can upload all your music there. If not...

video player that best enhances playback

I've got some videos downloaded from Youtube that I'd like to play on my Inspire, but the audio is behind the video. I've tried QQ Player and Vplayer. I know the Inspire isn't the fastest processor out there, but I'm hoping to find something that will use everything the Inspire has to give me the best synch of video and audio I can get. Thanks for any suggestions.
Wich Rom are you using? I use args 6.3.3 and stock player works fine check if it isn't a bug of your rom

I'm using Rumrunner 4. I did load up Moboplayer and it does better than Vplayer and QQ Player.

+1. Even 720p videos works nicely with MX Player.
I am using Blackout ICS with sense 3.6 and many other ROMs, and MX player has always worked flawlessly. I have been able to play a 3gb 720p .mkv file with no issues.

The S3 I believe supports these files natively. Also there are third party players as well.
flac is NOT native

uhhh, yes it is. MTP transfer *****es about it being unsupported but the stock music player sees and plays the files with zero issues.
Yes it is
FLAC is native on this phone and the only downside to using it is it won't tell you the bitrate of the flac file. 24 bit flacs will not seek but that is a minor issue I've had. All normal flac files have yet to fail me on my device.
