ATT store bestbuy extended batteries? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

When I got my skyrocket I saw extended battery and case thing at the att store, didn't look at the mah of it though. It was like $80. Does bestbiy sell anything similar?
I see all these ones in this forum to buy online but I'm in desperate need for one right now. I kill my phone in 8hrs or less. If the att one is around the 3800 mark like these others I may just grab that. Didn't know if anyone saw anything at bestbuy though.

That's a Powerskin. It's a case with a battery built in. Other threads have more info.

Extended life battery yet

Do they make those extra large batteries that come with a new backing for the g2x yet? Any word on weather they will in the future? I hate swapping out multiple stock batteries.

A quick google search dug up this, for the 2X:

someone on the FB G2x group mentioned one that's out there for over $100.. but of course, they didn't bother sharing link. I tried looking and I couldn't find one.. and the Optimus 2x has been out much longer, and there isn't one for that phone either.

go to amazon.com they have some battery with charger for $120 for the LG G2x which is probably the one they are talking about. i didn't read the the ad but the picture doesn't look like an extended to me though. No battery is worth $120 for a cell phone unless it never would need to charge again! lol. or would work on every cell phone maybe....
lol it got removed. it was there a couple hours ago. looked like a scam anyways.

look at this scam on amazon $3,000 for a wall charger! and the reviews are for a totally different item (a battery)

I did buy some extended batteries a while ago from ebay for my last phone. What I did was email some of the buyers of the battery and asked them about it.. But, recently I noticed some 1600mah batteries for sale on ebay for the g2x. I emailed a buyer.. he said "stay away".. He said it was only holding a charge for something like 1-2hrs.
Also, I can't get a battery w/a replacement door. I love my Body glove case.. There's no way I'm ditching it for a replacement battery. They'll have to come out with an extended battery that's the same size and like 1750mah for me to buy it.. Plus, who wants to take it out of the case constantly to switch to a backup stock battery. Not this guy.
Yeah that one for 120 is redic. I would love one that made the backing flush with the cam and maybe 2000mAh. People's cases would probably still fit as well. As long as it wasn't a hard plastic one.

Here's a link to one by Mugen. I haven't tried it because I don't want to spend that much but its the only reputable extended ife battery I've found so far.

Great! Thanks for the link. This is exactly what I've been looking for. You all gotta remember that these new cell phones are true personal computers literally, but since battery technology hasn't advanced much in holding capacity we need to accept this. I for one would rather have a functional device that's practical, rather than cosmetic form factor that only looks good, but can't even hold a charge for an 8 hour work shift. Even HTCs t mobile shadow, when it came out 4 years ago had horrible battery life, everyone complained and then t mobile gave every shadow owner a free extended battery through the mail. Even though it bulked up the phone, the HTC shadow was now practical and a dream to use. hopefully tmobile gets a lot of complaints on the g2x battery life and sends us all a free extended battery too. But for now I'm glad to know I can purchase this one. If anyone already has this mugen one please post a review. Thanks

Anker battery?

I just read about somone mentioning it runs much cooler than the stock battery? Is this true? Can I find them at radioshack or something?

Yes, they run cooler than the OEM battery. Just order them off of Amazon. The two-pack with the charger is cheaper than one OEM battery even factoring in one-day shipping.
When I bought mine, I got a single battery + charger for $3 plus shipping on amazon.
You can find them at all different prices, and if you scout it out for a few days you'll probably find a great deal.
Go read through the whole anker battery thread in the accessories sub-section of the MT4GS forums, you'll learn everything you ever wanted to know about an anker battery.
it does but it doesn't have a temperature sensor, which is very bad imo for safety reasons

Post 2 of the anker battery thread is where I linked to the amazon page I bought it from.
I bought it on August 16th. The price fluctuates like crazy, so just keep checking until you see a good deal on it.
Yesterday they were 23-something at that link. Today they are 18-something at that link. Who knows what they'll be tomorrow.
As they run lower in stock the price goes down, then when they get a new shipment in the price goes back up.
When I bought mine, it was the last one in stock at the time.
Just keep an eye out.
Even at the mentioned prices the two-pack of Anker batteries is cheaper than one OEM battery of a lower mAh.

Battery - 1950mAh - on ebay

Anybody try these out? Or know anything about em. Like if their duds or isn't worth the trouble? Seeing as the OEM one is 1850mAh.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1950mAh-Bat...586619?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20bf8c267b
I even went wtf when I saw this one!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-2020mAh-...510922?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item27c054da4a
I have only had good results from anker and seido batteries. everything else has been hit or miss...typically about half the advertised capacity

i fly through batteries. i bought 2 back up batteries that came with a battery charger and ive never been happier. it came from china so it took like 2 weeks to ship but it was only $9.99 with free shipping. i just swap out batteries now and havent gone a day needing a charger since i got them.
Omg thank you for this. I've been looking for this forever!
Eating Kitty's in my Skyrocket fueled by CM9
i actually bought the powerskin and it comes in handy but a few flaws with it is with it on and using the phone to talk people have a hard time hearing you cause of the case around the microphone. and if u work in a warehouse at all it cuts down reception to all hell but from a full charge of the powerskin it boosts my battery back up to 40-45% while im still using the phone as a media player hope it helps
Powerskin sucks. it doesn't allow the phone to sleep, they break all the time, phone is always hot. Don't get the powerskin
Awe okay

I agree with the others here. PowerSkin sucks, mine worked for 30 days. And they would not replace it. buy a spare battery.

Finding a NEW Skyrocket battery

I'm in Canada, with Rogers and have had a SR for about 18 months. Time for a new battery mid-contract.
But Rogers doesn't sell them any more. Nor does Best Buy, Future Shop, the Source etc. There are lots of phone vendors around, but I find that they sell them at $20 - $30, and they must be used, because even after a few cycles and battery calibration, they are usually worse than my old battery. I've bought two from Pacific Mall, they were awful.
I've been told that unless Samsung sells it to you, it's a refurbished battery. Don't even know what that might be.
So with the retailers no longer stocking batteries for non-current phones, where does one get a NEW Skyrocket battery in Canada?
Also looking for a Verizon Samsung Nexus Extended Battery (2200) as per another thread here. They are gone! Nobody has them. I'd love to try one on my Skyrocket, as it's a higher capacity and most say the fit is not an issue, but nobody seems to sell those either. Ebay sellers are out of stock with no idea if they are coming back in.
Is this what it's come to? Do you throw your phone away after 18 months???

I'm in the states but it looks like amazon.co has a bunch of market sellers who have EBL1D7IBA the main worry would be if it's really used.
I have a Nexus extended that i'd part with. Used it in my SR till it broke. Now i'm using my girls until I upgrade.. just hit me up in PM with an offer..
Have the oem battery from my SR too.. obviously used, but figured i'd throw that out there too.
Its here if you want it. Its $50 though..

Check ankerdirect on ebay or amazon
If you can have someone in the US order it for you Sprint is offering the OEM Galaxy Nexus battery (2100 mAh) with battery door for free with US $6.50 for shipping you would have a steal at your hand.
I ordered one for my SR last time they had the same offer and though the extended battery is a snug fir under the regular SR back cover it does last about 2-3 hours longer with moderate to heavy use as compared to the original.
Here is the quote;
"Sprint offers the Samsung Extended Battery Bundle for Galaxy Nexus for $49.99. Coupon code "BATTERY1" makes it free. With $6.50 for shipping, that's the lowest total price we could find by $28. It includes a 2,100mAh lithium ion extended battery and battery door."

Was just looking up batteries for the my skyrocket when I stumbled into this thread. That's an AMAZING deal. Ordered one and repped you.
Thanks!
I just ordered this online too. Does this ship to your house or do you have to pick it up at a sprint store? mine says pick up in store? I guess it doesn't really matter.
Also, Does this battery really last longer than the OEM one? i've had mine for about 18 months now and its time for a new one. Can't beat $6.50 though. Awesome find!

There's no real difference. Maybe a slight bulge if you don't trim the battery.

Cbiusa, then drive to Niagara to pick it up. I live in Toronto GTA so for me its easy.
Just got the new batt, and it does fit along with a Seidio Surface case, just. Didn't have to trim anything as long as the cover was snapped into place on the left side first.

Well if you are willing to wait, i bought a couple of batteries from AliExpress.com and they have been working preetty well, both of them (i ordered different to test them out) last longer than the original...
I still use from time to time the original batt, but the honest truth is that the 2 chinese are my main batteries.
I ordered a 2500 mla(?) battery from amazon.ca for mine. Works awesome. Fits in without any mods.
