Hello,
I have the Australia Vodafone Sensation. I have not rooted it or done any other hacking/modding to it. It is in absolute stock condition. I want to go to an unbranded Sensation. From the shipped ROM's list, I have downloaded the "RUU_Pyramid_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.35.707.1_Radio_10.43a.9007.00U_10.51.9007.27_M3_release_198358_signed.exe" which I think will be OK for Vodafone Australia. How exactly do I put this on my phone without messing with root and S-off and custom rom's and stuff?
I want to do this because I want official OTA from HTC for Android 4. I don't want to wait for any Vodafone testing.
Thanks
Why do you want to use the Asian RUU? You're better off using the EU one (which is fine for Oz AFAIK)
Download it here:

Wrong thread, should post in ROM section.
You have a branded phone, these are official ROMS for unbranded phones, wayt till TM provides theire new ROM based on an official HTC ROM.
Or HSPL your phone (void warranty) and flash away
Had the same problem and flashed the latest ROM using SSPL. It was quite painless and the HD2 works fine. Do a search for SSPL or HSPL in this forum and all will be explained.
good luck
Why is it necessary to download the new rpm. I have the same problem. Just curious. My phone seems to be working nicely.
Use the below link to get the ROM and then grab a Goldcard and put the ROM on. Or you can follow the HSPL route instead if you prefer.
Will probably invalidate any TMo warranty you may have so be aware.

I'm planning to buy a HTC sensation in NY, but for use in Brazil, I've always used unbranded HTC phones (touch, diamond2, Desire HD) because I hate those logos and apps, and also the updates OTA are released faster as they come directly from HTC.
If I can't find the phone in NY (the WW version, wich I want), is it possible to convert it's software into stock/unbranded version? How?
* If anyone has tips about where to find the WW version in Miami/NYC... I'd appreciate.
Thank you all...
I fear you'll have to wait for S-off to flash an unbranded or a custom ROM.
But for the moment, with temp root, you still can use Viperbloat or Titanium backup to kill all the operator apps.....
I am some kind of "half n00b" and i need help to understand some things.
I have Sensation S-OFF, HBOOT-1.17.1111, currently on stock rooted .
And i want to unroot BUT leave it S-OFF. So i do it by flashing RUU ( i dont have superCID) Can i use this RUU: RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.45.401.3_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_219990_signed ?
( i`m doing unroot because i want OTA of official ICS )
Thanks in advance !
Where are you located and where did you buy your phone from?
Is your phone branded or not?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
I`m DEEEEEEEPLY sorry for not answering you !
I`m located at Croatia, branded on Vodafone (haven`t super CID-ed )
so, what am I supposed to do ?
To choose the correct RUU, you have to match model (LE= XE), carrier (not if you bought unbranded), software version, baseband of your original setup. You can view available RUU here:

First you need to find out if it has been Bootloader unlocked, rooted, and Super CID'ed yet...
More info will get you more help?
looks like its as was from Three, nothing done at all, running ICS 4.0.3 btw.
Hi guys,
I bought my HTC One XL on asian site to use it in France. I'am very happy of it (comming from iPhone
This phone seems to be identical to the AT&T One X hardware but with Asian ROM.
It running Android 4.0.4, with HTC sense 4.1
The firmware version state for 2.42.708.3 (I've seen a Rom mod (stock rooted) based of this version on asian sites)
And basebande version 2.20os.32.09.15_10.113.32.28L
The phone had only 3 languages available (but I have add french without problem)
I've not tested LTE so far (only one band of this phone is in common with French LTE).
Do you think I can root it and change ROM following AT&T One X tutorials ?
Thx,
Vince

No need to. Just unlock the bootloader on HTCDev.com. Then install TWRP (custom recovery) and either flash SU or a rooted ROM to get root.
Extra steps of temp root and changing to SuperCID is only needed on the AT&T version, due to the fact that AT&T's CID does not allow bootloader unlock on HTCDev.com. This applies only to AT&T's CID.
Faites ca^^ bonne chance
Thx for these advises !
I'll wait for the Jelly Bean update at end of this month (supposed to) and check if USB audio is working. If not, I'll change the ROM.
CleanROM seems to me to be a good candidate as I'am OK with HTC Sense so far.
Thanks,
V.
