Remove the status/notification bar - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Is there any way I can permanently remove my status bar? I don't mean hiding it with a launcher. I just want to know of there is a way I can stop it from showing up period. Thanks

You can edit the image in systemui... but you can't get rid of the whole thing (icons and all). You need it to be there.

Ha make everything transparent that would be funny

As for the status bar, I'd just like to hide it with TSF launcher. I ask because I've accidentally gotten rid of it before during rom flashing lol

make you own ics rom custom statusbar!

Hello!
I've become a pro at making custom statusbars for people and didn't want you guys to miss out on the excitement!! So since I'm not busy I have time to help you! So just post a reply of want you want the icons to look like (they could something like a PlayStation button or even the iPhone hone button, letters, stock red, white, yellow, pink, ect. ) I also do battery MD's So you can change the default battery icon, ( just make sure you set your battery icon to circle tho in the settings)
So anything you want even the down button when you have the keyboard up! you can use any icon from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1413582 or anyone you can think of!
After I make the .zip just flash in recovery and WALSH!! IT'S ALL DONE! So be sure to hit that thanks button when your done!
I saw a post similar to this a while back, and I'm still torn on how exactly I'd want custom icons to look. At this point it's about the only thing I can't mod through the OS, and I must have custom EVERYTHING. I'm just now delving more into modding the SystemUI/framework/etc but it is kind of a PITA. I had some really cool SystemUI mods I found floating around xda but I've lost a lot of them since I updated my ROM.
A standard red (255-0-0) vertical (i.e. not slanted) digital battery indicator font sure would be nice to match my AndroidClock replacement--with or without the battery bar, I really don't mind either way. Thanks!
Sorry for the wait, but here it is! let me know what you think.
to use go to settings/system/statusbar/batterystatustyle and then change the style to circle!

I totally meant to include that. It's twa_priv's SGT7 build. Since it's compatible with the Eyecandy ROM I just managed to snag an Eyecandy mod with a conveniently-included bar below the numbers, so I've got just about all I could ask for at the moment. Thanks, though. The only other thing I can think of at the moment: I noticed while digging through the SystemUI,apk there's a light-to-dark-grey gradient picture in there and I just wondered if that's the background for the left side of the Settings pane and what's the path to it in the apk? I'd really like to see a subtle custom background there.
I included a shot (or tried to, anyway) of my homescreen so you can see the battery mod there.

[MOD] Synergy Nightly ICS Systemui Mods

Ok here are a few mods for just the battery, clock, and pulldown for the synergy nightly roms. Just flash them in recovery. They use the same transparency as stock with a few of my changes, such as the gap under the toggles is removed, black notification bar in pulldown and custom blue clear button. I made the toggles transparent will also include a flashable to make them black again if wanted. There will be downloads for brightness slider or no slider, honeycomb battery, or circle battery. This first batch are blue clock to the right, will do white clock next, and then blue and white centered clock.
This post will be all the center clock mod ones. They are the same as above but with the clock centered. I only did one screenshot but it will give the idea.
Oh yeah! Love me some mods. Rumor has it your taking requests! Id love to see an all white setup. White Centered clock and white icons and toggles. So sexy.
Thanks for the goodies!

[APP][FIX][24/7/13]Smear Fix V1.4>>ALL SGS4 devices<<

What is the smearing issue?
Our lovely SGS4 Super AMOLED screens are the first kind to completely turn off pixels when true black is showing...
Previous generation AMOLED screens used on the SGS1,2 & 3 devices kept power to black pixels which could be seen in a very dark room as a faint glow on areas of screen showing black.
So we now have true black screens with switched off pixels which is a GOOD thing... Am I right?
Well in theory yes but you have probably noticed a fairly annoying flaw when this is put into practice. The pixels take time to turn back on so whenever a grey or dark object moves across the screen against a black background the image will "Smear" due to this pixel switch-on delay.
How does this app fix this?
It's very simple and not a true fix. The app creates a nearly transparent white overlay covering the screen. This will make blacks a very dark grey which you will find hard to notice but it is enough to prevent pixels from switching off since true black is eliminated.
Use the Smear Fix app to launch the overlay and the Kill Smear Fix app to remove it. Simple!
Quick Guide
#1 install the "Kill smear fix app first
#2 install the "Smear Fix V1.4 app
#3 When you launch the app there is NO ui interfaace. The app with create a nearly invisible overlay which will cover the entire screen.
#4 The app WILL auto start on boot UNLESS you have killed it previously using the Kill app.
#4 The Kill App will remove the overlay AND prevent the main app restating on reboot. The control file for this is "smearfix" stored at the root of your SD memory.
IMPORTANT: This app has just one known issue/bug/quirk which is the same you will find for ALL overlay/screen filter type apps so I can't fix it.
When the app is running you WILL NOT be able to install any apps manually. The install button just won't respond. You will have to use the kill app to undo the fix to remedy this.
ROOT NOT REQUIRED!!
Install the Kill App BEFORE you install the main overlay app
V1.2>>> Kill app now properly kills the main app and service.
V1.3>>> Fixed landscape overlay
V1.4>>> Made overlay 1080x1920 properly this time. USES LESS RESOURCES TO RUN!!

Nice work
Nice work.
The only 'small' disadvantage will be the battery life. I dont know to what extent it will reduce but it surely will since switching on of those black pixels will come into picture.
Anyway, great job, man

It's going to draw more not because of the screen but because you're adding an overlay layer on the whole screen which needs to get fully redrawn every single time anything happens on the screen.
The application works well. I only detect one problem, to rotate the screen coverage is maintaining the width of the screen in portrait and not suited to be in landscape.
I hope it will be useful to say.
Thank you very much.
Sorry for my bad English.

Would it be possible to modify the app so that it applies a slight greenish gradient to the bottom 25% of the screen to offset the pink tint issue that some of us are having?
Didn't the smearing get fixed in MF8? I am on MF8 and its gone for me.

Samsung cheated, they changed the UI so there will be know true black anywhere. This was the fix
In apps with true blacks (like STweaks) you can still see smearing.

Am I the only one who hates when roms have 3 minit battery mod

Everytime I find a new Rom, it has 3minit battery in it. Then whenever the statusbar color changes, the icons don't match, making it look horrible and most of the time you can't even see the icons... am I the only one who thinks that's a horrible mod? I'm by no means bashing anyone's work. I'm very appreciative of these devs work. I just hate eye sores.... anyone else feel this way? Anyone know ow how to manually remove it from a rom??

Awesome. I was thinking that would work. But i was thinking if i replaced it with stock, it would possibly break other things in the devs rom tweaks app. But its worth a try. For sure. Im trying to get one of these new touchwiz UX roms to work for me. But the only ones that work for the tmobile variant have HEAVY mods in them. Theyre not even close to stock anymore. And unfortunately the stock touchwiz ux rom doesnt work for calling on the tmobile variant, even with the tmo fix. Im gonna test out the systemui.apk replacement tonight and let you guys know how it worked for me. Thanks again

What really sucks is that every rom out there for the Note 5 seems to just wanna shove these "features" in more then Samsung and T-mobiles fluff apps. I like some of the ROMs and really appreciate all the devs that put so much time in them. But I really am sick of having to open Zips to take out stuff like ViperAudio and Titanium. Just my 2cents...
For a long time I've been using the Xposed module Flat Status Bar Indicators as it gives the most options in terms of what you want your status bar to look like. Even with mods like 3Minit Battery or Potato Clock installed, it overrides them and also switches colors to be visible. Highly recommended (though I will note you get the most useable options with the paid version)
Poor 3Minit Battery though. I feel when looking at it it really may have shined a bit back in Gingerbread days or so but it's really lost its usefulness with coloured status bars now.
I thought I was the only one.
