To go back from ics to gb stock, do you need to change anything to run the .ruu like cid etc? I have only changed it to s-off

Try it but I'm pretty sure you need Super CID to do it

It's worth to change CID on SuperCID. You don't have to run run the ruu. Just flash a HBOOT You can just flash a HBOOT 1.23 which works on GB and ICS. Then later if You would like, You can change on 1.27 HBOOT which includes newer radio version.

Does running the ruu default the cid to normal or would I have to redo this too?

Hi all,
I just debranded my tmobile HTC sensation using the guide in the development section... Used recovery 5.0.8 (cant remember exactly) all good... Used sensation stock Rom 1.73 and really pleased with it..
Just got a question that when I first put the recovery on, the boot loader screen heading was **RECOVERY** in pink with white writing (never seen this before in any mods I had done) but then after applying the RUU 1.73 it now reads **LOCKED**.
This heading is right on the top of the bootloader screen just above:
Pyramid Pvt Ship S-Off RL.
I was also reading another thread on the development section about applying a stock recovery... Shall do that?
Please advise...
Cheers

If you run a RUU it takes your phone back to stock... EVERYTHING stock, so you loose root and s-off etc.. you need to run through the guide again as if you just bought the phone and want to S-OFF it
I didnt exactly run the RUU, it wouldnt let me.. had to extract the img.zip from it and update the firmware that way..
I have attached the pic, please advise what should I do.. it the ***locked*** in pink
Guys... Any thoughts???

Hi,
Perhaps running Revolutionary again, will revert your phone back to unlocked.
Check the s-off guide in my sig.
I am trying to get cid to work but I have read that it will only work on 1.17 any ideas ?

If you use revolutionary to S-OFF your device it will have hboot 1.17 (from my own experience)
You can only change cid if your hboot is S-OFF
So unlocking the bootloader is not s-off that's just onlocking the recovery

If you want to change your cid you need to have an unlocked bootloader by S-OFFING your hboot
But why do you even want to change your cid?

No need to supercid for custom roms, since they don't have cid checking. Just s-off and flash a recovery

I update to Hong Kong firmware 1.52.708.3. Then, I can't use the revolutionary to S-Off and root. It showed a message "Failed to get root".
How can I do? Thank you so much

Try to downgrade to older asia ruu and use revolution again. If you want the latest just use dxsia you can cook the latest ruu into a Rom.

I haven't get s-off, can I downgrade?
Can you give me some guide about the downgrade process?
thank you~
I want to root my Sensation XE and whenever i use revolutionary, it says failed to get root...
does revolutionary run all the way through? Remember you need to install the superuser app to get root permissions, and also need busybox on there if it isn't already installed. If it is installed go in the options and check for binary updates, that has fixed problems for me in the past. Best advice though is to read thoroughly and follow every instruction from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300

Check your hboot version against the supported list using the link on the revolutionary page. If it's not supported you need to downgrade.

Also have you got the drivers needed? Easiest way is to install HTC sync then uninstall, it leaves the drivers behind.
Finally uninstall any software that may try to sync with your device e.g. iSyncr, double twist.
