HTC Sensation

Hello, i got one Sensation today, and now i want to know what ROM install on it.
The Sensation XE ROM works on normal Sensation?
What is the best ROM to update?

Is say start off with miui, then if you don't like it try something else...

Already in use, i buy from another person who have it installed.
But i don´t like very mutch, its too much iphonized...
One question please:
If This Sensation already have one miui ROM, that means that the phone is already and prepare to install new ROM´s or i need to unlocked and S-off..?

Yes, you have to have s off and be fully rooted. I'd go with cyanogenmod next...

All depends on what you want to do with the phone. I personally have been impressed with the ARHD Roms. As the others have said, make sure the phone is S-off and Cid 1111111, if you dont know how to check for these, there are several good guides that will help you through the process. I highly recommend doing a nandroid backup before you plan on testing out other roms, in case something goes bad.

I installed the pyramid 3d XE, but don´t work correctly, did the Sensation XE ROMS work in normal Sensation?
Did i need to update something like RADIO, etc..?
I see that some ROMS have "Wipe necessary", but what it means, i have one program "SuperWipe.zip".. its for install Before?

Start out by updating your radio to 10.58.9035.00U

I correctly install and it work good the pyramid3d XE ROM, but in the lower left corner, appears "SAFE MODE" every time...
anyone help?

Try another rom then, Android Revolution has both Sense 3.0 and 3.5 roms as well as the ICS leak.
Use superwipe before installing any rom to completely wipe the phone, and then install the rom as usual by selecting .zip and then reboot.
When it boots up, give it 5 minutes before touching anything, sign into google, facebook, etc. And then if you'd like flash a custom kernel.

The "Safe Mode" means that this ROM is not Full suported or its the Sense version its not suported by my device?

Best one is Energy sense 3.5 very good battery life plus stunning tweaks. Your phone is already rooted so u can flash any custom Rom. Make sure to install recovery and do nandroid backup.

i trie to update the ROM by using the PG58IMG.zip file, and now it wont start...
The Bootloader is now:

if ur CID is not currect it will not update completely
and if u put the zip file in the root every time bootloader wants to update

Some roms need supercid. If ur just rooted and soff u can use any rom in rom manager without supercid.

any help for roms?

Hello, due to a loooong story, I have hboot 1.23 and well as some of you may know its terrible, I now cannot flash any files at all via hboot and my firmware is 3.12 but the problem is I love ics and so, can anybody please find me any roms that have ics and run on firmware 3.12 not 3.24 or anything else. It will probably be android version 4.01 or could be 4.03 but it would have stated firmware 3.2. I don't mind even if the roms are outdated versions of the newest version of roms, such as arhd 6.0.0 instead of what is being used now.

Do you have s off? If you do just flash the firmware that has the 1.27 unlocked h boot 1.27 and flash the ICS Rom you want.

no i dont have s-off.I tried to get to stock and wrote s-on incorrectly (apparently).
Now i can't really do anything until revolutionary updates, i have to stay with the ooooold roms.

COREDROID 4.0 works on 1.23, the problem is you can't flash radios which isn't in this ICS ROM. So you're s on. I am assuming you used HTC unlock. I assume you have root and custom recovery. What did you do exactly.

I used to run Virtuous Inquisition on HBOOT 1.23, in fact I've only recently changed to 1.27.

How did you change to 1.27? I thought hboot 1.23 did not have firmware flashing or any advanced fastboot commands...

Well yes. I had to use HTCdev because I wrote s on wrong and my bootloafer was locked so I ran htcdev, flashed recovery and now I'm s-on without being able to change ny hboot or anything at all now.

If you have s off you can flash any firmware with 1.23. Why do you refuse to understand that 1.23 s on is your problem, yes you are in fact stuck there. No matter how many threads you ask the same thing in, sorry but it's the truth.

Rom Update Utility. Contains stock rom, recovery and firmware that get your phone in factory state and comes in a .exe executable file. Only thing AFTER applying RUU to be completely stock is switching to s on. Get a proper ruu and flash it

what is the diffrent between ota file and official exe rom file ?

OTA is like a Windows update - it just changes part of the system. An RUU is the complete ROM - radio, firmware, hboot, the lot!

[Q] Android Revolution HD 6.6.5, beats audio screen freeze

Hi guys, this is my first time I root my phone and I did all the steps of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300, and the ROM I chose was Android Revolution, but like the title say it freeze I have read that the first time it can take ages to load, but I have wait almost two hours and it still in beats audio screen. I try to take off the battery and put it back on to see but still in beats audio. HELP!!!

You need the right firmware, please get it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767 & install it.
Since you're moving from GB, you should perform a super wipe before installing the ROM.

ARHD runs on 3.32 firmware not 3.24

No wifi?

I bought a Sensation XE from a friend and INSTANTLY did S-Off and flashed a more generic rom. My software version is 3.32.401.105. I'm pretty sure my wifi used to work but now it just says error. It works on CM10 so hardware is fine. I've tried a full wipe it still says error.
Now I'm not sure but I think it is something to do with me trying to flash custom kernels as I've downloaded 3 different ones and they all seem to fail at flashing raw image stage.
I'm sure it's all linked. I'd like help with either making wifi work with my current kernel or just help to flash a custom one properly. I'm no stranger to android and flashing roms but only had a Desire in the past from HTC. Thanks.

same problem here, updated firmware to 3.33 got wifi problems. reverted to 3.32, came back but disconnects after a while which got more n more now no wifi completely . used vipers, cm10.1 , AOKP wifix, getril different kernels, older firmware nothing. seems like a very common problem to anyone updating to ics update. any help would be nice n ill be grateful.

Re lock the bootloader.. Flash 3.33 firmware then flash the rom again

Sounds like a lot of work. Wifi works on Venom rom is there not some sort of file I can take from it to make mine work?

Did you tried another radio? I've got the same problem, switch radio and it worked!
