Google Calendar backup Q - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Getting ready to wipe / flash new ROM. Was wondering if Google Calendar backs up all my calendar appts/events like contacts so after new rom flash, I can quickly restore my calendar and not have to reinput everything?

It should keep itself backed up

I cannot tell you how many times a Titanium backup has screwed up a new ROM. I have found that restoring apps this way is mostly pointless. Even more so with the Google applications. The most I will do now is restore the data only for a non Google application.
You may have to reflash the gapp pack for your ROM again. If you have not gotten Gmail back yet.
I believe you have to wipe cache, wipe data, and then flash the gapp zip, then fix permissions...reboot. Of coarse this will erase all your other downloaded programs as well. But if you restored them with TB then maybe that is the way to go.

I already used nullifier and reflashed cm 7.2 nightly and gapps. I havent used titanium backup yet and still have no Gmail Widget. Installed Gmail from Play Store.
I glazed over the fact you said 7.2. So bad news, there was no Gmail widget before Andriod 3.0. The CM 7.2 build is Andriod 2.3.x
good news, there are apps out there for this to have a Gmail widget in Froyo and Gingerbread, search the App store and shell out $2. maybe there is a free one.

The time you now wasted rebuiling your phone over and over is probably the most painful part. I'm sorry...only because I have been there.

hi smallyetzon! after facing this kind of situation like missing option, file, lags ecc. i reset my phone ( after titanium backup + sms backup+) with factory image, reroot, and flash the rom i choose to use daily. i think it's the safe procedure but i do this only when i choose my daily rom, if you wanna use paranoid android olso in the future do this and you'll not gonna have problems. hpe this helps! :fingers-crossed:
P.S. you can olso try some hard wiping, deleting obsolete folders in your sd card and keep in mind that when you restore with titanium backup, restore only .apk without data

it would be better to save your contacts in your gmail acount
in that way you will never lose them

This ^^^^^^^
Sync your contacts with your Google/Gmail Account. Then no matter what ROM you have you just login while setting up the phone and all of your contacts will automatically sync.
Rzr86 is right
You can also use a 3party app from play store for backuping contacts and then restore them
