There are a couple threads in the dev section with an apk that can install cwm For you. Check it out...

Search for RecoveryInstaller app. I would stay away from ROM Manager to flash cwm recovery for now

ROM manager doesn't work with our phones. You wil need to flash the Custom recovery mentioned in that thread.

No option for flashing CWM?

Hi all, I'm on a Transformer b90 running the .19 kernal with root. For some reason when I open rom manager I tap on flash recovery and see no option to flash for the Transformer? Is there a special rom mananger I have to use? I've searched and can't find any thread or problem like mine... Any help would be awesome and i'll honor you like a god.
ROM Manager is not compatible with the Transformer.
Use RecoveryInstaller by Gnufabio

Rom manager does not work on he transformer, search the market for RecoveryInstaller and intall it. it will put CWM on your system. Another program you will want Boot to recovery to make it easy to boot into CWM.

How did you install cm9? You obviously have root, I wouldn't play to much without a backup! Do you have latest cmw? If it wont work you could check out Amonra recovery, I use cmw so I can't tell you much about it. There are many threads here that will though.

its because rom manager does not support rom for our phone
You have to download a custom rom and flash it via odin or cwm

Recovery?

Anybody know where to get a recovery that I don't have to flash and don't have to be rooted because my coms down and I can't root it. Z4 doesn't work

If i was to recall, it's not possible to get a custom recovery without rooting it.
You could always use stock recovery if that's what you want? ^^
Well that's just it I don't have a recovery anymore it died (personaly idk what happened to it it just stoped working and froze when I wanted to get to recovery..)

You got to have root or your phone won't let you install a recovery. Once you have root, you can install CWM recovery via the RomManager app (free in Play store) according the the sticky in the dev section...

CWM
Follow the instruction's of that thread then download Rom Manager on your phone & install the recovery for SK4G also then reboot into recovery then reinstall package's . Enjoy .

Click to collapse
Note: CWM link in quote above shows you how to get root.

problems rooting tf300t

hi i tried rooting my tf300t using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26435786#post26435786 i got to the part where you have to flash the root signed.zip and i did flash it but then when i press reboot system now it asks me "root access possibly lost. Fix? THIS CAN NOT BE UNDONE" then it gives me options no , yes-fix root (/system/xbin/su), ******go back*****. anyone know what i should do. iv tried all 3 then going into root checker it says you do not have proper root access but i do have super user in my apps list and titanium backup will not work.
anybody know what to do?
Try using twrp recovery for flashing instead of cwm.

I agree. TWRP is the way to go. Also, if you are going to flash a custom ROM that is already rooted, don't even worry about rooting it with the root zip because it's not needed. The rooted ROM will take care of rooting it for you.
thanks
thanks twrp worked.
Thanks, got it rooted. But now I installed an app that gives me a black screen of death when it boots (LCD MODDER). I am int he process right now of recovering a backup.
