Not sure but looks like Korea Galaxy S2 ICS Firmware is available for download - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Just came across this site that appears to have ICS ready to download for the Samsung Galaxy S2.
http://override182.net/?p=506

Could be promising?

The Skyrocket is not the International Galaxy S2!!!! Seriously, we've had more threads than I can count of people saying "ICS coming soon to the Galaxy S2", but no one seems to realize that I727 does not equal I9100....
I appreciate the effort in finding this, but please don't try and flash this, you will undoubtedly brick your phone beyond repair.

Thanks. Again that's why I included the Not Sure on the title post. Just thought this would be something of interest to the forum.

It's mildly interesting in the sense that Samsung has said we come after that device. Doesn't mean a whole lot other than that though.

All we can hope is that the International Skyrocket will be soon there after. Then it can be ported our way. AT&T will take their sweet time updating, so this is our only hope.

Pretty sure that's not official, from Samsung. Still though, I'd take a custom ROM over the official Samsung version any day.
No one ever said it was an official ROM from samsung, original post said "actual ICS rom that was developed for the Samsung Vibrant". Key word being Developed
Its pretty sweet actually. But the phone I flashed it on was just a friends wifi only play phone (he uses a sgs2) so I couldn't say how it works for everday use.

People like you piss me off. You have a opinion and express it as a fact. Posts like yours that are written to incite drama is the reason people get upset and rage on people for arguing.
Instead of trying to pick a fight use that energy to help. Stop being part of the problem and instead be part of the solution.

I am sorry but I don't know what opinion I stated as a fact.
The point is that we have devs spending their free time building roms, tweaks, fixes, themes and everything else under the sun... and all people say is "what about ics?" How many times has this question been answered by devs themselves. I just looked in 5 threads and saw the answer 3 times. Its frustrating that nobody is ever happy with what they have and instead make posts about how we are a disgrace because we don't have ics. If you took time to read and understand there would never be a need for these topics.
Now perhaps I was a bit harsh but its getting ridiculous. My post was not meant to incite drama. It was meant to tell people to be grateful with what they have. In my opinion (not a fact since you can't tell the difference) that is more of a solution to the problem than just answering every thread the exact same way. This entire thread had absolutely no benefit to the community in anyway shape or form.
It's not in the OP but is a few posts down.

Y'all might want to have one of your devs look into porting a rom from the Vibrant (ics from 2.2 sources) yall have 2.3x sources and drivers which are handled very similarly in 4.x.x. One of your devs would have to make some alterations to existing Vibrant kernels since the GPS and Ramdisk and file directories are a bit different by comparison. Keymapping should be more or less the same and as i understand it yall have figured out how to get CWM running. Basically all yall would need to do is recompile an ICS kernel for yall's device (no easy task) n then use the framework and other files from a vibrant rom. Least that's what we didnt get 2.2.1 and hacked away at a release yall got

That's why its always best to get the flasgship, and not its slightly bettter predecessor. That's why the SGS2 or 3 is what you should get, as well as the upcoming One X.

Sure. Does anybody want to? No.
There are currently no leaks, no source, no anything related to ICS for our phones. The developers who are currently attempting to get it running are pretty much flying blind. At least until Samsung releases something.

Why do you think the sgs4g needs to get ics? My phone is fast got extremely great battery life and tons of other things. Do you just want ics so you could have the latest android flavor or do you think or know it will make our phones that much better. I'm not trying to be a smartass just curious why ppl are this rilled up about ics.
I think the only reason is because "others have it".

Great words blazen you know maybe ics has some quiet interesting features but our developers make than our phone from crappy to gingerbread better than ics that is one the reasons I want to start developing because I feel that I got skills to make some good stuff for the phone ( like themes and guides only things that i have finished) and other reason is because here our developers are way better than samsungs horrible costumer service....anyway every sgs4g user most appreciete the developers work even if the projects are not finished like ics port and aosp port because that makes people more happy and they know that there works are awesome

I believe that most want it because it is the newest OS and most believe it will be an improvement, much like GB compared to Froyo... Which is understandable considering the developers here are going full bore in a attempt to port ICS.
Being one of those that was satisfied with froyo, I have to admit I am even more satisfied with GB... But as for your question, I personally hope that it is released for our phone because if it is, so to would the source be released (just imagine what the developers could accomplish with it).
Just my 2 cents in the well.

You do realize that's a post from someone in the forums right? No word from Samsung USA. You cannot depend on what a customer service rep says, they sit behind the computer all day and still do not know a thing about the products they are supposed to be supporting. If I am not mistaken the T-Mobile version is the same as the Telus S2 in Canada. If it is I would not be in any hurry to upgrade to ICS. My own experience and experience of others as reported on the Howardforums has not been stellar. Problems with apps freezing and battery life going in the toilet are common. Looks great, just doesn't work very well. I would hold off until these issues are addressed. I usually always wait to do an update until I here some feedback but this time I jumped in and am now regretting it.

Well when sprints leak hit it did help us a little we got svdo working. The Rom itself was rather buggy but it got fixed. This might be more stable than T-Mobile leaks but still not as good as the real deal.
Hell I don't even care really about an OTA really, I just want a leak at least! I'm missing some of the JB features from my GNex.
Verizon is really irritating me, especially because I've been holding out on installing Wallet due to the isis release that were not even getting! Give us our jb, and release the restrictions on wallet. Wtf
