[Q] Problems updating my Sensation 4G

Hi! This is my first post.
I have a HTC Sensation 4G and I cannot update the firmware.
My CID PG5811000
and MID BM___001
I read the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21481563 And I got the same problem like the user AlphaX
But when I reboot my HTC to try to install I got a wrong MID message.
Any ideas?
Send HTC a mail with your problem to get a update any time.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
would HTC help people who unlock the phone by themself?
I have S-Off and installed Insert Coin 4.06 Android 4.0.1
I tried to get SuperCID and it doesn't change.
Any ideas?
BTW. I wrote to HTC giving my serial number, CID and MID.
When I turn on my phone into Fastboot mode I got the next information
*** LOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OO RL
HBOOT-1.23.0000
RADIO-10.12.9007.21_2M
eMMC-boot
So, the "LOCKED" at the beginning loks weird.
Each time I enter to fastboot, try to look for a PG58 file
I'm still looking at google (and falling on xda forums )
But any help will be welcomed
Hi,
You can add your CID to the Firmware.
Try this:
1. Check your CID using fastboot getvar cid and MID using fastboot getvar mid or fastboot getvar cid
2a. If your CID and MID are supported by default, navigate to point 3.
2b. If your CID or MID is not supported by default, do this: (you do it at your own risk)
2c. Open PG58IMG.zip (don't extract it)
2d. Open android-info.txt in text editor
2e. Add your cidnum: <your CID> or modelid: <your MID> to the list, save file and close archive
3. Place PG58IMG.zip on your SD card
4. Boot your device holding power button + vol down button
5. Follow instructions on the screen
I hope it works
"LOCKED" means:
You're locked out of some of the most advanced fastboot commands. But that's it.
You still have S-Off. ADB will still work. You can flash ROM's.
Dav375
I got SuperCID!!!!
using fastboot I did it
./fastboot-mac oem writecid 11111111
Then I download the firmware from http://db.tt/EjYujYj7 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412618&page=96) and rebooting my HTC Sensation the update was successful!!!!
Now I hope to install new ROMs with ICS.

[Q] Problem on change cid

I want to install super cid but when I enter the command
"fastboot oem writecid 11111111"
I got this error
... INFO[ERR] Command error !!!
I am s-off and unlock fastboot with htc dev
my hboot is 2.00.2002
Radio-3822.10.08.04_M
I change both hboot and radio but no change and cid didnt change.
i need it to install a RUU
I have problem of wifi with all ics rom and this is the solution to install the ruu and s-off and reinstall ics rom(Long story)
But the rom has difrent cid and i need super cid

hi good man.
I dont know exactly what is the use of Goldcard.
as u know Iwant to flash
RUU_Saga_HTC_Europe_1.47.401.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085 AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199410_signed
But the cid of the rom is diffrent from my phone.what is the solution.
Sorry for realy bad english.
@ayene
Follow this guide, I used ths command to get my memory card CID "cat /sys/class/mmc_host/mmc2/mmc2:*/cid"
Or download the market app GoldCard Helper (already patched and reversed)
Note you may have to change your misc-version, but that depends on what you current misc-version is, but we'll cross that bridge if we come to it.

Error 155 gets when either your bootloader is locked or u r using the wrong RUU
If you updated to jelly bean , sense 4+ and then rooted your ONE S and then installed other roms like CM10, etc, you will get error 155 if you try to use any RUU. Thats because your hboot is updated when upgrading to sense 4+,JB.
Thus to revert back to stock....
1. get stock ICS Sense 4.1 ROM,
2. flash stock recovery.
3. Use OTA update to jelly bean,Sense 4+.
4. Factory reset your phone to remove any non-stock stuff from the ROM.
5. you have STOCK Sense 4+!!
6. then if you want you can relock boot loader .( but I havent tried it, might cause problem)
Your hboot won't be updated unless it's a ota or a ruu am I right eg I was on 4.04 then rooted and installed trickdroid but I am still on the hboot that came with 4.04 ruu.

[Q] Sensation won't S-ON

Hi, I am trying to S-ON my HTC Sensation again.
I have run a stock ruu.exe, and changed the hboot to 1.27.0000
The device is unrooted by that if I am right.
If I follow step 5 from this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 ) via the fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 way, when the bootloader reloads, it stays S-OFF
I have tried a lot, and I hope somebody knows whats wrong.
C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools>fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
... OKAY
C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools>fastboot reboot-bootloader
rebooting into bootloader... OKAY
It says Locked
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
I have now tried another RUU.exe and tried another way by getting rom.zip and making this PG58IMG.zip, but it still won't S-ON
HBOOT- 1.17.0008
RADIO- 10.11.9007.15_M
eMMC-boot
it doesn't say LOCKED anymore <- is that a problem?
please help me!!! anyone..

Check the cid.. If it is supercid then SON command might not work
So change back to original cid of the phone
Then try SON
Another thing is.. The locked/unlocked status is available from 1.18 hboot only so it normal that 1.17 hboot doesn't show anything

Tnx for replying
I am trying to get the stock cid, I have found my MID is PG5813000 (Fastboot getvar MID), and that means that my cid is VODAPE17?
I have vodafone and I am from the netherlands so I think it should be that one.
When I use fastboot oem writecid VODAPE17 this comes up:
...
(bootloader) Start Verify: -1
(bootloader) erase sector 65504 ~ 65535 (32)
OKAY [ 1.559s ]
finished total time: 1.564s
fastboot getvar cid
cid: 11111111
finished. total time: 0.019s
I have also installed the app CID getter, it said I had HTC__E11, when i tried to write it I got the same error
I can't find any solutions, help again pls

there is a work around ..but for that you need to root your device again ..install busybox (ginger bread or ics both will do )
then give me the outputs of these terminal commands
(if using terminal emulator app from phone )inside shell:
su
strings -n 8 /dev/block/mmcblk0p4
and
strings -n 8 /dev/block/mmcblk0p5
also verify what the CID in this output
strings -n 8 /dev/block/mmcblk0p6
terminal outputs
