Skyrocket 727 1850ma batteries from ebay ... - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

FYI: Got 3 1850ma batteries + charger for $13 from eBay seller from China. Not sure if it has the NFC built in (can't test and I don't care). Charge up and work fine. No fires yet. See label differences below;

Three things.
1) They're fake and for sure don't.
2) Capacity is going to be crap, I guarantee it.
3) You may not have to worry about 2) if your phone catches on fire. Those batteries are known for this. Google it.
I highly recommend the extended galaxy nexus batteries. The have nfc and have been shown to fit in our phones

Understood. I knew that going in. I'll relegate these for "emergency use only" and continue to use the stock battery. At least I got an outboard charger as well, that shouldn't catch fire.

lol true...

I've been using the three batteries + charger for $13 from ebay for about a month.
1) They are actually rated at 1900 or higher, not 1850.
2) They do NOT last as long as the OEM 1850's. If I had to guess, I'd go maybe 75% as good. Totally a guess though.
3) I love 'em. Two batteries gets me through an entire day with HEAVY useage. I keep one in the phone, one in my wallet and one in the charger at all times. It's a cycle, so I'm never without juice ready to go when one battery dies.
With that said... it gets old after awhile, having to pull my case, pull the battery cover and swap out batteries.
If the charger has a purple light showing, then it's charging. When the light turns blue, the battery is fully charged.
There are no directions to tell you this.
The charger takes 5-7 hours to give a fully depleted battery a full charge. It's not a very fast charger at all.
All three of my batteries arrived with a 50-80% charge.

Thanks CZ for letting us know about your experience with these batteries. I can breath a little easier when I use one of them.

For people in Canada, I have been using these batteries:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/280819145130?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
They are rated at a higher capacity, but I don't see the difference as they last about same as the original Samsung. Since I don't use NFC, loosing the support didn't really matter to me. It's not that I don't trust the china batteries, it's just that I always have bad luck ordering batteries from China, as they never show up. So the little extra money was worth it to me.

I also have the exact same batteries for three months now. To the idiot that said they would have horrible capacity is totally wrong. It's gotta be 80% of original and they take 5 hours to charge. I keep two spares at home and bring one with me wherever I go as back up. Much better then buying an oversized battery in which no case will fit

They're rated higher and don't last as long. That's the Hallmark of a falsely inflated rating by a company selling junk. It happens all the time in the battery world because nobody holds them accountable for falsely inflating their numbers. 80% life is, relatively speaking, horrible, but having 3 of them makes up for it if you don't mind the fire risk...

Anyone else amused by the fact that the eBay batteries have "Noar Field Communication"?

When I said terrible capacity, it was relative. I'm not saying you'll only get 2hours per battery. But, in those three months, if you hadn't been cycling through those and used only one, I can guarantee that the capacity would have decreased far faster than an oem battery. You're deluded if u believe those cheap Chinese batteries are of decent quality. There's a reason they can afford to sell the for such a low price. I wouldn't trust my phone with them, but to each their own

Thank god for my AT&T warranty, I just said that I was having battery issues, and they gave me a new one without giving the old one back.

I have purchased eBay batteries, and love them. They are not as good as stock, but are worth the price and its always great to have backups on hand when you don't have time to charge. I keep one with me at work, just in case. Hyperion is the brand I purchased. Comes with two batteries and a charger.

HTC EVO 3D Battery Experience

Hey all,
Went to local third party sprint store asked if they sold any batteries, was told no. Waited until I ran into the manager who I'm cool with and asked again, he said "not really, we only carry batteries for the EVO 3d" I said sweet thats the one I want may I buy one? I figured maybe they weren't for sale sale but for tech purposes I don't know I don't really care he said he'd sell me one, and I made sure to pay in cash just in case he was tryin to get his hustle on which is fine with me, I paid $25 flat which seems pretty in line with what the genuine HTC battery costs shipped etc..
ROM: Android Revolution HD
Am sitting on 2% battery left right now, and android says it's been 18hrs 0ms 37 sec on battery: bear in mind where I travel I deal with a lot of edge to hspa transfers and it says "time without a signal" 37%. Also my phone is clocked at 1.5ghz.
Voice calls: 1hr 10min 26 sec
Display time on (texts, web surfing): 2h 16m 14 sec
Wifi use: 34 mins
Accounts:
facebook (every hour)
gmail
work exchange (push) (at least 10 emails with attachments a day, I set to download attach automatically)
school exchange (push)
weather (every hour)
I freely used the crap out of my phone today took off the charger at around 8am this morning, its 2:06am at night, its still alive.
Usually when I come in the door at like 9pm I'm scurrying to find a charger, but this bad boy outperforms the original battery BIG TIME, and I hope my scenario above (in terms of real numbers and stuff) helps those who are wondering about this battery.
PROS:
MUCH MUCH more battery life
CONS:
Instantly noticed the extra bit of weight to the phone (I enjoy it though, makes it feel more solid)
Takes longer to charge.
Any questions let me know, talk to your third party sprint stores (they are the only ones that do repairs and would probably have this battery on hand) and pay in CASH lol.

Do you notice if the phone runs warmer with this battery over stock?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk
In regards to the battery size:
Soon as I popped it in, there was no issue whatsoever snapping the back cover on, fits like a glove, no bulge or anything, device feels slightly more heavier however. You use the original battery door, does not come with a larger one.
In regards to the battery being warmer:
I've only seen it go to 96f watching netflix movie, right now sitting on my desk it says 80f, last night when it got a little colder, I can only assume that its VERY close to the unibody and with the metal cooled it was at 66f.
The reason why I chose to have the 1730mAh over the anker 1900 is because of the information that I've come across from this gentleman d0ugie and his website batteryboss.
You can clearly see as an example a genuine htc nexus one battery of 1400mAh tested in at 1357mAh actual capacity VERSUS a seidio nexus one 1600mAh battery testing in at 1305mAh actual capacity.
Through his testing you can CLEARLY see that genuine HTC batteries in terms of their actual ratings against their claims are nearly 90% accurate.
Why would you go buy a 1900mAh battery with crappy cells/manufacturing that ACTUALLY rates in at like 1730mAh or possibly LESS, who knows I don't have the equipment. But I don't buy off brand batteries anymore because of the information on that site.
Hope it helps you guys make the better choice. Cheers
very good, thx, i think i will buy the HTC EVO 3D Battery.
I was gonna ask about the temp difference with the stock battery? Is it noticeable?

I am using Evo 3D battery now (order from Ebay), really better battery life... As for the temperature, same usage with Stock Sensation battery, i cannot notice any difference as it doesnt get too hot on my phone.
im running the same as you ARHD and evo3d battery. weight gain definitely. unfortunately for me the results differ from my experience. i dont see a notice in change. maybe because ive been on my phone for the majority of the time messing with my settings. who knows. ill report back if my battery stats begin to change.
---------- Post added at 11:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:36 AM ----------
I'm going to buy the 1900 anker battery soon. Hopefully i will see an improvement.
also bought an original HTC Evo 3D battery. Notice a slight improvement in duration, but wonder if it was worth the 25 euro's. Advantage is that I now have two batteries and can exchange them if juice runs out.

Extended battery case for the Sensation

Is there an extended battery case for the Sensation? For example, a case where you flip a switch and it charges the battery? My Anker battery doesn't last me the whole day, a dismal 6 hours. I need more than that. Any help would be appreciated!

I found this PowerSkin. I will look into it, after I get paid. I really need my phone to last the whole day. My school day is from 6:30am-8pm, and then I have work afterwords! So, this PowerSkin, although it's very expensive might do me the trick.

It's probably legit. They were selling it for $5 shipped in their official site. I don't like its quality very much. Mine is 6 months old. I barely used it and it's charging for only 6 hours (it used to charge for like 13 hours before - it might be at half capacity). And sometimes it doesn't charge. I need to unplug and plug again to it starts charging. Maybe only mine was defective.
If I were you I'd buy an anker external battery (or of some other good brand).
I bought powerskin because it was $5 and I just suggested because it's the only extended battery inside a case I know.

Thing is that I bought an Anker battery, and it didn't last me as much as I thought it would. $5 shipped?! What the hell. Did they mark it up because it is rare now?! I mean, if you say it's good quality, I'll get it. Apparently the seller is in Brooklyn, so I could get it a bit faster. Like, when you say $5 shipped, you mean that the case was $5 or the shipping was $5. I'm feeling some type of way right now.
I believe $49.99 was the original retail price. The manufacturer overestimated demand and put it on clearance at a ridiculously low price. That was back in December I think. Unfortunately those are all gone now so we're left buying from third parties.

3500 mah battery same as stock in size...

After someone had mentioned 3500 battery on ebay that was the same size as the stock battery, had to check it out...
Anyone else had any experience with this battery?

Oh ok thanks! I currently have my Stock battery and 2 3500Mah batteries that fit in the stock cover. It works so far for me because that lets me keep it in my regular thin casing. The 2 3500Mah batteries + a separate wall charging unit that fits 1 battery (also has 1 usb port on it as well!) was like $22 on Ebay. They definately hold a longer charge than the stock battery. Normally get atleast 1.5-2 hours of extra screen time with those batteries. Only thing they don't have is NFC, but i have the stock battery for that and rarely use it anyways. Its working for me so far, but i just don't know if the back cover is going to hold up in the long run when its being taken off every few days to swap a battery if needed. It seems kind of cheaply made and i don't know how long it will last. But seems ok still.

I'm wondering if this is the zerolemon 3000 rebranded to 3500.
I've been using them for a few weeks now, and i've had no issues with them. The charge definitely lasts longer than the stock battery, and its working out good for me. The battery is definately a tad thicker and noticeably heavier, but it all fits within the regular back cover of the phone. And i guess they do have NFC. They just dont say it on the battery, but its advertised with it so i guess it does. I don't use it enough so i havent tried.

Many users often charge when the phone open, in fact, this will be very easy to damage your phone and life, because in the process of charging the phone's circuit board may have a fever, this time if there are external phone, you may produce an instant return current, on the phone's internal parts damage.

MPJ 4300mAh extended battery mini review

Picked up this MPJ out off their website for $17.99 because I CANNOT find it on Amazon.
WHERE I BUY
A backup battery means a lot to me as my Galaxy S5 is running many apps, even though battery life on this phone is already an impressive part. Just received mine with a small bag, unwrapped and put it in. It seems a little larger than stock battery, ensuring a snug fit.
The 2800mAh to 4300mAh bump isn’t there for sure but there is still some increase. I’ll update soon after 2-3 times charging cycles.

After I fully charged it 3 times, it seemed to do great. This is my moderate to quite heavily day yesterday. With almost same usages (no auto brightness, average web browsing, bunch of streaming videos, texting, calling and etc.), stock downs to 20-30% by the time I went to bed and the new battery I'm at about 45%.
EDIT: Do not expect seeing any dramatic changes. Normally improving 10-15%, and there are several times, depending on my usages, where it up to 15%-20%.
6+ hrs on screen is my best by far and this is including 4-5 hrs of idle and light/moderate using, and only 1-2 hrs of heavy browsing, texting, etc. Have been also skeptical and hesitated about whether to pick up this without many reviews but on second thought, I can be the first and share my experience if that’s a real good. YMMV, I am not thinking about if they are spending money on promoting the well-knowness for their company, as far as I can tell, it is working fine on MY GS5.

Oh sweet, Thank you! =)
These batteries don't hold quite the charge the OEM batteries do, but it'll last a good 8 hours. I ordered a pair of these batteries and I'll see how long they last (Hyperion batteries have a good track record with my phones).

I was about to post about this same battery! I ordered it on Amazon for about $5. I hope it is better than the stock battery! Here's a link if interested.

Nope, so I bought 3 of them. at 6 dollars a piece, and no shipping, even if i get one thats semi-decent it's better than no spare are all and I was making my way through a battery and a half per day on my S4.
*UPDATE*
4300 mHa Battery
I'm a very heavy user of my smartphone. When i had my Galaxy S4 i was going through a battery and a half per day. When i saw these batteries i thought i'd give them a try. I though 6 bucks, each, bought 3 of them for the hell of it. So in the old phrase of you get what you pay for is absolutely true in this case.
These batteries even say "Long Lasting High Capacity Li-ion battery" and are a 4300mAh battery, where the stock is 2800mAh. So in theory these batteries are 45% bigger than stock and should give me relatively 45% more time in operation of my smartphone on a single charge.
What it has given me is a great deal less. My S5 on the OEM battery would last from when i unplugged it at 6am to usually 5:30 or 6 at night before I hit the 30% alert. I just checked and my phone is currently 4H 50M 06S in and I am down to 38%. This battery as it sits is a complete waste of money.
Now as they were only 6 bucks each I did buy 3 so I will try the other two over the next couple days but if they are the same, then my suggestion is do not buy this product.
I just went with this one. Guess we'll see. I'll update a couple weeks after it gets here. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JIL7C5S/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Makes sense, yes After all, no matter how advanced the phone is: the more advanced, the more battery eats.
Hum... I don't know if this battery i sreally a 4300mah...
Someone test the battery recently ?
I'm using this "brand" ( well, these printed labels ) since the S1 series.
They may not be the full 3800Mah capacity, but they always give me a full day of operation ( depending on the use offcourse )
I'm not able to test the capacity-claims ( because I don't know how )
All I know is the length of operation.
On the S2 and Note1 the power was slightly smaller, my order is coming in a few days
Will report back

Official S4 Extra Battery Kit

I haven't seen any thread on this so I decided to start one. I've been using the zerolemon 3000mah(what they marketed it as) batteries after my stock one bloated and gave out. Well, the problem is the wall charger that they come with is very low quality. So I've been looking at the official samsung battery kit and was wondering if it will be able to charge my stock-sized zerolemon's too.
Those who are using it, feel free to comment and discuss. [emoji2]
It works great!
I've been using it and it works great it lets me keep my battery in good health getting a full recgarge and discharge it charges the batteries really fast as well althougj im just using the stock battery im sure you wont have a problem charging youre larger size you just may not be abel to close the door on charging kit which isnt much of a problem

Lol. Hope yours isn't a chinese knockoff then. They are cheaper and I've seen ppl posting pics of their entire charger burnt up with the battery inside. [emoji33]
Haha
Lol haha no sir it actually had the samsung paperwork instructions with it so its definitely not a knockoff I would be upset if that happened

I did consider that. But yeah I don't think I'll prefer the added size of that thing. Just enjoy swapping batteries and getting them charged up quickly more.
Plus I don't live in the U.S so I would need to pay extra for a forwarder to ship it over. Enjoy that massive battery life, buddy. [emoji1]

I have a 5800 mah battery, it lasts 3 days at best. My original battery barely lasted 1 day. I am pretty happy with the battery but the phone is defenseless against falls:crying:

Get a tempered glass screen protector on it and you'll be fine. [emoji41]
UPDATE: Alright in case anyone is interested, I managed to get the s4's extra battery kit at a pretty cheap price (usd39) off my local seller. [emoji16]
And good news to those of u using aftermarket stock-sized batteries. They DO work with the external charger. I'm using zerolemon's and the charger gave off a flashing ember initially when I tried to charge it. But after awhile of fiddling with it I got it to work. [emoji1] It charges almost as fast as plugging your phone directly to the ac. Now I don't need to plug my phone to the wall ever again.
